If any new players have as much trouble finding them as I did, they're in the southernmost part of Herba Jungle, right above the Marshes of Plenty.
They spawn on Sundays too, just ran into them.
How often do they drop? At least when it comes to killing them fast enough to test it. I can two smash them to death only if I trans, not enough damage to make it efficient enough.
Feral Brown Wolves are much easier for the drops because they die often, and I don't notice camping penalty popping up here. Maybe a high ranked dischord + smash should do the trick because it has the same multiplyer as smash with a stun time and slows enemy.
I'm not even quite sure. The mobs here are very difficult, even for a veteran to solo with the risk of multi-aggro and all. I'm not saying it's not soloable, but rather the fact remains it's just difficult due to the power of the mobs. If it drops, it probably does. I'm sure someone here (if not elsewhere) has at least gotten it if it is on the page.
The pages do drop, I've seen every single one of them (3~8).... Except for page 9 and 10 from spiders, but I don't hunt them that often.
i meant do pages 5 and 6 drop in scathatch, cause i have never heard of nor seen them drop there
thats what the wiki says, but i have never talked to anyone on ruairi server who actually has seen it drop from them
It's probably a low drop rate thing. Slightly better off going to the actual missions and farm from them since the exp output sort of pays off for AP for shock for later...if that makes any sense.
There was a full pack. One minute I went a safe distance to recover and poof, they're all gone!
O_o Please tell me I'm not the only one seeing this...
Earlier I was informed by a guild mate that an Ancient Elephant despawned in the middle of battle... but then again ancients are known to despawn.
One minute ago I just Drop Kicked a Feral Brown Wolf and it went poof... and so did the rest of its pack.
Well considering the amount of unkilled things on the beach, i'd say it's the monster server rebooting in order to prevent a massive amount of spawns.
I'm pretty sure there's a maximum limit to how many monsters can appear, and once the body despawns a new monster will appear in place.
It only spawns two because the rest despawned due to inactivity. It stops at a certain limit. this is most seen after maintenance.
Except this is not after maintenance. They're just "poofing" for no reason, especially when I'm killing them.
Yes i mean it does that a lot. It happens when a certain area in that map is overspawned and it has to take from other locations.
You know how if you enter an empty area and start killing them, more spawn? I think sometimes the server doesn't realize a player is still training there, thus the enemies poof to go back to the unpopulated state. I've seen it happen with black-tailed mongooses.
From what Angevon is saying, it's just a natural monster server behavior to despawn mobs if a player isn't detected.
Now that I think about...I've seen Hobgoblins vanish in Lappa.
Brown Dire Wolf used a skill that I did not have, didn't see what it was, only the question mark bubble, is there an existing glitch that does this?
Technically it can't be on this page because it isn't a mammal, and therefore not a Canine, therefore not a wolf and it is filed under all three. Am I right?
Why isn't it any of those three?

Useless text omitted.
I fought the giant white wolves in Tir Chonaill, and they have a LOT more hp than they used to, deal a lot more damage and drop new items, including a Wealthy Enchant. I think we should update the wiki to reflect this update, but I don't have any exact values for the new hp/damage rates, but I guess maybe 5k hp or so. I'd assume the black ones also received a buff.
