-7% Critical

-7% Critical

What does this mean? You lose 7% of your critical against enemies? Enemies have 7% more critical chance? You gain 7 Protection? You gain 3.5 Protection (-7% critical chance from enemies?) Or is it just a deduction of critical chance from enemies, without the damage reduction that normally accompanies Protection?

It adds 7 protection, you can check comparing with and without the guard cylinder. critical is unchanged, other than the bonus from the skill when equipped with another cylinder -goes to change-

-EDIT- apparently this is not changeable, due to the nesting bull that is the equipment templates, the value in what appears to be the appropriate field is correct, but there seems to be no way to change what it says: "attacked_critical_bonus="7&quot" It's like the equipment templates actually hinder the ability to edit the wiki

That 7 protection comes from Shield Mastery, small. Hidden Stat bonuses aren't seen in the character stat menu. Also, 7 Prot =/= -7% Critical; its 3.5 Prot = -7% Critical, since every 1 prot = -2% crit.

Its a deduction of critical chance from enemies. If it added protection, it would also affect damage reduction and wounding, which it doesn't.

I see, I thought I had remember seeing shield change my screen but I guess not. Regardless, I think it's clear that "-7% critical against enemy attacks" is pretty unclear phrasing, but where do we change it?

Template:StyleWeapon

However, due to its extreme complexity, I highly advise against editing it and let a professional handle it.

actually that field in question is contained in Template:StyleEquip since it appears to be a shield property.

regardless, hopefully changing "critical against enemy attacks" to "to enemy critical chance" is perfectly clear

I'd suggest "-7% to enemy's critical chance (no protection increase)".
