Event List

Fragment of a discussion from Talk:Wiki Home

How aboot this? (the "limited-time items" is just a suggestion, doesn't have to be there, also, ignore scooter. forgot that ended already.)

We wouldn't really have to list the dates, you can just click the article link to find out, since they're listed at the top.

You wouldn't have to worry about the list getting too long or too short, which would offset the layout of the main page if it were in other places. It would rarely get long enough that you wouldn't be able to see the first news bulletin.

And. No awkward looking random whitespace in the middle of nowhereland.

Excellent, this is the best idea I've seen so far. (And ya, after writing the last post, I started wondering if limited edition pets and gachapons should be included in limited events too.)

Wouldn't the scroll box for updates (and along with patch updates) have to be lengthen a bit to see the current announcements in there? I feel like doing that would make the announcement kinda...hidden.

Well, very rarely do we have this many current ongoing events (like now).

As a preview, this is what it would look like, given the current event state (just copy/pasted preview over current). You will still be able to see at least the first bulletin (unless Nexon decides to troll us and puts up 15 limited items/events at once).

If necessary though, it is possible to expand the height of the boxes a bit.

I'd still bump it a bit.

Since the textbox has a pretty wide minimum width (so that all resolutions see at least that wide), we could make the list into two-columns to distribute the space.

Can you make an example?

I like this method. How about we give it a go?
