Vintage Ceremonial Dress

Vintage Ceremonial Dress

For Vintage Ceremonial Dress, I don't suppose you can try again?

You claimed it was zoomed in more, but with a side-by-side comparison it's kinda hard to miss that the previous version's clothes were actually bigger.

I don't know if you usually use it, but the Screen Shot button from the menu is handy for fixing camera position and allows zoom beyond normal range. (And alternatively, if it was only because on the item page, the clothes looked too tiny, you could've just saved the images yourself and cropped the irrelevant parts off, before reuploading them (with credits given, of course).)

Well, that's what happens when you give a ten-year-old a tattered short dress...

It's zoomed in the preview on the page itself. But when you actually look at the picture it's not. Not sure what we should judge as zoomed in... The thumbnail or the image itself. I thought it's the preview itself that counts, not the actual "click to see image" part.

I'm honestly confused myself..I also thought it was the preview that counts.

Seecret01:16, 23 February 2012

I'm quite convinced that most people look at the previews and don't go all the way through to click the image twice just to see the full size.

Stop getting into my conversations sis...

Seecret01:23, 23 February 2012

Well, for me, the pictures used in the preview template is for a glance-sort of look, and then to see the real details, one clicks the picture. (Otherwise there would be no point to making the images "ridiculously" large like this guide details.

Besides which, I think the bigger the actual image is, the better it'll be shrunk...though I think that's just my own brain thinking so.

Akira01:25, 23 February 2012

Posted on wrong thread...haha.. "Just stating my opinion!<3"

Foxy01:25, 23 February 2012

So i'm confused..am I supposed to be doing anything?

Seecret01:34, 23 February 2012

You could do what I suggested above - either crop the already-existing image, or just take another picture that has much more zoom.

Though you might want to wait until we clear up the preview vs images issue. What with two people assuming that the former was the one that counted, I may have been the one who's been misunderstanding.

Akira01:43, 23 February 2012

Alright, I will surely wait. Thank you though for the tip!

Seecret01:46, 23 February 2012

I don't think we really have a policy yet to do preview vs detail yet so why don't we just agree large, cropped images that are excellent quality/follow the rules is the best choice, no?

Pyro - (Talk)01:54, 23 February 2012

So..cropped as in like mine or how akira stated?

Seecret01:57, 23 February 2012

Erm, the "way I stated" should be the same as yours - cut off as much of the background and legs as feasible. I was more bringing up the issue of size.

Akira02:06, 23 February 2012

I actually..DID cut off most of the background, and im not sure what you mean by size..I just zoomed in and cropped it so that the background was gone as much as I could make it.

Seecret02:09, 23 February 2012

I was referring to the actual size of the clothes themselves, not the size of the picture.

Akira02:42, 23 February 2012

Then that should be good.

Pyro - (Talk)02:26, 23 February 2012

So..it's good as is or did you mean I need to be age 17?

Seecret02:58, 23 February 2012

As long as it's following the policy, zoomed in, has excellent quality, and is cropped it's good in my book. I don't really see a point in uploading on a age 17 person since the size change isn't that significant.

Pyro - (Talk)03:16, 23 February 2012

Agreed insignificant. I guess I just disliked what I perceived to be a downgrade of quality. I'll just keep in mind the preview template in the future, then.

Akira04:08, 23 February 2012

It just doesn't feel that zoomed to me, but I am viewing on a widescreen monitor, so idk.
