Can you help me in making my wiki page better. I don't know any coding and these admins seem scary enough to penalize me for a mistake

JamerH15:10, 23 June 2012
  1. None of the admins are "scary".
  2. You haven't even been penalized in any way.
  3. Your mistake was repeatedly reverting the image. I don't see how you can make that mistake more than once.

It's okay to ask admins for help, just ask politely and your good to go! ^^

I'm being honest here. Due to my bad experience with moderators/admins and V.I.P.s. It is hard for me to trust them.

JamerH15:44, 23 June 2012

How many conflicting edits with an admin have you had? ==;

Everyone on the wiki is a VIP, as long as they don't spam, vandalize and not bots.

In addition to what ikkisuki said about making a "mistake" multiple times, I'm also going to point out one of the comments Anemki made when reverting the wing bow image[1]. You should know what that comment was in response to, so you being "penalized" for a "mistake" can be justified (not sure how you were penalized though).

Yinato16:26, 23 June 2012

Er...the screenshot of the wing bow equipped (along with the wooden blade and admiral wear (f) images) is where the revert stuff took place, but the comment was made on the sheathed page.

Yinato16:36, 23 June 2012

That comment feels like it was vindictive. I don't think that I do all of that to win anything. I don't know much about editing.

JamerH16:37, 23 June 2012

Interesting. Considering you personally went to a user here (ingame) saying they lost? Hmmm~
Edit: You say you're here to improve things, but you don't post things fitting the policy. (:

Prairie Dragon Heart.png Anemkitalk to mecontributions16:39, 23 June 2012

I don't know the policy as I have said. A admin has told me that what I was doing was wrong. I'm ready to take that advice and use it.

JamerH16:43, 23 June 2012

The Image Policy is linked on my userpage, Seecret's, and a few others. You should probably read it before uploading anyway, and know it. It's easy to follow. Also, Yinato and I are wondering why you are asking your guildmate on the wiki rather than doing so ingame. If you're ready to take advice though, then that is fantastic. There is no competition. u.u"

Prairie Dragon Heart.png Anemkitalk to mecontributions16:56, 23 June 2012

Not reading the policy is one thing, noting someone on mabi and saying that they lost is another. Read the policy, mainly the image policy and the part talking about fame. ninja'd :/

Yinato16:57, 23 June 2012

I did not want my guildmate to be reported for vandalism. I did hear that edit of other peoples pages can lead to that

JamerH16:59, 23 June 2012

So what you're saying is that you asked your guildmate on the wiki, instead of on mabi (where wiki admins can't monitor you...I think o3o) so that they wouldn't be reported for vandalism on the wiki...?

Yinato17:02, 23 June 2012

Although I do not see an edit to a talk page regarding editing of another user's wiki page by you, yes, you should leave a message on the user's wiki page first requesting access to edit their userpage, otherwise I will assume it is vandalism.

Edit: Oh, unless you were referring to these two (JamerH and SwissedToast)?

Oh, when I do edits like that, Kevin, we discuss that in-game. But okay, that works too! :3

Prairie Dragon Heart.png Anemkitalk to mecontributions17:06, 23 June 2012

That has nothing to do with the Image Policy. And it is not vandalism if you're not putting crude, rude things there. Two of my friends have edited my userpage and that is not vandalism. Additionally, SwissedToast did nothing wrong here. You didn't post policy following images. If you spoke with her about this in game, it would probably be a lot easier as well. o.o"

Prairie Dragon Heart.png Anemkitalk to mecontributions17:01, 23 June 2012

I didn't revert Maugre's cause I already know you two are friends. I think I have discussed it with one of you two before, but I don't remember. Also, where did you get "two" of your friends? I only see one other person who's edited your page before.

I think the other person is seecret?

Yinato17:13, 23 June 2012

Yeah, the other one is Seecret. Her and I discussed it through Skype. And the OLD one ages ago was backsong. x.x"

I rather be safe than sorry. with stuff I don't know. Angevon has told me how to refix the pictures showing more of the head and the legs. Which is helpful

JamerH17:06, 23 June 2012

Yes, and don't directly take a screenshot on your client. Use a snipping tool or click off of your program to avoid jpg images. There's tips all over the place, you just need to know where to look.

Prairie Dragon Heart.png Anemkitalk to mecontributions17:08, 23 June 2012

I have tried to use my "prt sc" key to advoid JPEG files. This dosen't seem to help. JPEG keeps showing as file name

JamerH17:13, 23 June 2012

Read. The. Policy.

Yinato17:14, 23 June 2012

Click out of/unfocus Mabinogi window, then hit print screen. Afterwards, go to some paint/image editing program and paste.

Then you're doing it wrong. >.>

Prairie Dragon Heart.png Anemkitalk to mecontributions17:13, 23 June 2012

Then it's time to mess around with my computer agian.

JamerH17:16, 23 June 2012

That, or read the policy ._. goddamnitanemkiDX

Yinato17:19, 23 June 2012

Great minds think alike? :'D

Prairie Dragon Heart.png Anemkitalk to mecontributions17:21, 23 June 2012

I have read the guide and the policy(which I have done 1yr ago. I forgotten it.) Now I can use images with a better quality.

JamerH17:24, 23 June 2012

A few posts late but...

I did not want my guildmate to be reported for vandalism. I did hear that edit of other peoples pages can lead to that

and...

I rather be safe than sorry

So...my interpretation of it is that you didn't want your guildy to be reported for vandalism, but you decided to post about it on her discussion page so that you'd be safe? o_o

When one usually forgets, they can always go back and read it again. It's short, and to the point. Needs a bit updating. But it's very easy to understand and I've linked/made mention to it multiple times. >.>

Prairie Dragon Heart.png Anemkitalk to mecontributions17:31, 23 June 2012

I ment Yinato. I rather be safe in posting this request. Than be sorry if it was reported for vandalism.

JamerH17:35, 23 June 2012

But...okay, this discussion is back to where it started. You could've asked an admin, read the policy, read the policy again, or wrote on your userpage that said person has permission to edit your user page.

Yinato17:41, 23 June 2012

Well...now I know how to do things after reading this.

JamerH17:45, 23 June 2012

I hope you meant the policy page. >_>;

Yinato17:51, 23 June 2012

I don't think I have done that yet. :p

JamerH17:53, 23 June 2012

Thanks Anemki. You have said this multiple times now. I think that the matter of photo posting out of policy can be resolved. I need more practice.

JamerH17:39, 23 June 2012

The virginity of my discussion page has been stolen.
