I'm confused as much as you are, just how does all that even work?
As far as I'm aware, once a returning player chooses the his/her new talent, he/she's given a quest to see "a leader of a major town" and given an SM tutorial on a few of the skills involved with the talent. (Some of the talents don't seem to have a SM tutorial, though - like the adventurer talent.)
When I made a new character, though, it didn't activate the talent quest. This, I can think of three reason for: because the character is not a human, or because the talent selected doesn't have a tutorial, or because the character is newly created. The first doesn't seem to hold up because my elf got the archery tutorial all right. The second doesn't make sense, since the talent selected was knight, which uses lances, which definitely need a tutorial for new players. The last possible reason contradicts having a tutorial in the first place.
Well, that goes without saying. Though I thought they would've fixed the latest release's glitches by now - they fixed that language pack, right?
Not everything. There's still a lot of untranslated crap, like that one quest you get after finishing the talents. And everyone knows DevCAT is notorious for creating bugs and not getting the bug spray.
Plus if a glitch isn't well known it's less like to be well reported which means its less likely they know about the glitch. (Also, Translation and Bugs are different departments of DevCAT.)
I didn't know that O-o
But, the Bolt/Bare-handed Glitch still exists and it dates back to G13...
To make it easier on me when I am copy-pasting the new filename, please don't put a period at the end of your move requests. Thanks~
Perhaps you could have made a new thread for this? I didn't know what you were talking about until I checked your contribs.
Yeah, I guess screenshots would be a good start, though I don't think it would be "enough" evidence. And your grammar kind of made it hard to tell if you were talking about the damage range of weapons or the actual output damage (though I think it's the former).
Since you're intermediate in Bank Part Time Jobs, could you please find out Keith's intermediate part time job's details?
Mmkay, did it. My preliminary conclusion: Keith doesn't have an intermediate-level job. The rewards for his part-time job is no different - actually, one of the rewards had less exp given out than what's said on his basics list right now. (The one where it says 1k exp and 3k gold reward showed up for me as 500 exp and 3k gold instead. I'm betting that the former's the erroneous one, since it makes no sense for rewards to go down after getting to the next level, so to speak.)
There could be extra factors though. Intermediate job being placed in only one channel, or only on a certain date, or needing different job success requirements, or needing higher friendship could still be viable obstacles, considering the rarity of the Falias Fragments that are necessary for trips into the City of the Gods.
EDIT: Not in one channel, checked all five channels in Alexina and the rewards were the same in each one.
If needed I can bring out the photos.
(On a side note, isn't this kind of information also listed in the game's code?)
Tried again after I've gotten into the Advanced jobs range. Keith's rewards still didn't upgrade, so at this point I'm a lot more sure in saying that Keith doesn't have part-time jobs beyond the Basic one.
I noticed you made a lot of redirects tonight. While it's good that you're contributing, I'd caution you with redirects. Too many redirects are not good; they end up bogging the server down. In fact, redirects are technically only supposed to be used when a page changes location, though we do use them for other things. That being said, we try to limit the amount of redirects we use.
Also, try to avoid redirects that differ in only capitalization, or by only a few letters. For example, try not to redirect Bone Fighters to Bone Fighter. The search bar should be used for finding a page, redirects should not.
In addition, watch out for redirecting a non-existant page. To use your example, you redirected Bone Warrior to Bone Fighter. Bone Warriors do not exist, however, due to your edit, you make it seem as though Bone Warriors do exist, and that they are Bone Fighters.
I was just about to say that...but yeah like Xcelled said, watch out where you redirect and remember to always preview your edits before posting them. This includes making a new page for a redirect. >-> i should take my own advice...LOL
Mkay, thanks.
The Bone Warrior thing though, I honestly thought they were called that somewhere...but yeah, I'll try not to put so many up next time.
Actually, both Marlowe and Lanier have almost identical keyword responses. And how do you know she's not an elf disguised as human (like Andras) going on an expedition to Connous?
The first bit's new to me, but do you mean the philosophical talk about acting or what I've written on Lanier's page?
As for the second part, well, if she really is an elf, I'd imagine she'd be expressing wonder or disgust only on giants. But since she did specifically said something along the lines of "amazed by elves and giants", I'd say it's a safe bet she's human.
If you suddenly found out your note human and your actually a blankblankian, wouldn't you want to learn more about your people? And I mean what they actually say.
"your note" is supposed to be "you're not", right?
You're right. But I think that only means she'd be focusing on elves, not giants.
Yes, typos. And if you also find out the blankblankians are in a centuries old war with the insertnameheres, wouldn't you look up both to find out the origin of the war? This is hypothetical, of coarse, but my point is that that doesn't necessarily count her out for being an elf (or [half-]giant [in disguise?]).
That's true, so long as the game hasn't confirmed it yet, that possibility would always be there. (Though I'm sure it's a bad move plot-wise to use the same surprise/backstory twice, so from that angle it's unlikely Nexon would pull that again.) It's still most likely Lanier's human, though.
All the same, determining what she was would still amount to nothing, since we don't know if Lanier changed from whatever she was to a deity like Nao when she started working in Avon. For now I suppose we better leave that question mark where it is.
