Use Spinning Slasher to defeat as many monsters as you can within the time limit. A higher score will result if you use this skill to pull in and attack many enemies at once. As the test rank increases, stronger monsters will appear and you will need a higher score to pass the test.

General Tips

  • Your Chain Slasher and Close Combat ranks will carry over into the test, so having higher ranks would be useful.
    • Windmill can be used with a Chain Blade and can load while the player is getting up, making it particularly useful against the hoard of enemies in this test.
    • In order to use Chain Skills, Dorcha is required. Remember to maintain Dorcha levels throughout the test, or you may find yourself unable to earn any points in an otherwise opportune situation. Players will start with 10 Dorcha even if their Dorcha Mastery would allow them to have more.
    • Dorcha Conversion will allow some extra Dorcha at the cost of health.
    • Chain Burst will make Spinning Slasher do greater damage, in turn defeating more enemies and awarding more points.
    • Anchor Rush can be used to break free from stuns, especially those inflicted from being target by many mobs at once.
  • Killing all Cloakers will spawn another set of Cloakers.
    • Killing only two Cloakers will not spawn the next set, allowing the player to kill up to two freely.
  • Cloakers will aggressively aggro the player.
    • Despite this, Cloakers will often use Defense instead of attacking. In addition, they will sometimes charge but not immediately use Lightning Bolt.
  • Vampire Bats will less aggressively aggro the player, but will more aggressively attack, even when only alerted.
    • When they do attack, Vampire Bats have a high injury rate. As there are no wound potions or bandages, the only way to recover from wounds in the test is to die and take the penalty.
      • Vampire Bats attack fast and can quickly overwhelm a player. Players will likely die at least once per test.
        • Since the penalty for death is only 100 points and 10 seconds, the player may find it beneficial to die once in order to reset their health and aggro.
      • Using the health potions that drop can help mitigate this damage.
  • When the number of Vampire Bats alive drops to 5, another 5 will spawn.
  • Manipulate the position of your targeted enemies so that Spinning Slasher pulls in at least 5 enemies to obtain the most points possible.
    • Spinning Slasher has an odd angle of attack, specifically drawing enemies right of the cursor's targeted area. Targeting directly left of a group is the best way to grab as many enemies as possible.
    • Using Death Mark can be an effective way of grouping enemies. Hitting a marked enemy with any attack afterwards will pull nearby enemies toward it.
  • Using Chain Sweep is not recommended, as the long animation time leaves you open to aggro when new enemies spawn.
    • In order to get the bonus points for using Chain Sweep after Spinning Slasher, you must attack the enemies while they are reeling back from the attack. If you are going to get hit after the Spinning Slasher, it would be better to use the Dorcha for another one or something like Anchor Rush.
  • With careful positioning, it is possible to lock the enemy mobs into repetitive usage of Spinning Slasher.
    • There is about enough time to do one Normal Attack per use of Spinning Slasher. This means that a player starting with 15 Dorcha can use 7 Spinning Slashers at minimum or ~11 Spinning Slashers at maximum in a row.
  • Players can disable names and chat using Ctrl+N to improve visibility of enemy skills.
