Chapter 8

Generation 26: Winds of Fate

Micro-site Web page Generation 26: Winds of Fate has been released.

  • Players who have completed Generation 25 will automatically receive the quest When Fate Comes Knocking.
  • Players who have not completed Generation 25, but have reached at least Level 5,000 will receive a window notification that the storyline is available to start if they so choose.
  • You may start the storyline by clicking the “Start G26 Winds of Fate” button in the Storyline Menu.
  • Voice acting (Korean) has been added to all characters in the story.
    • You can adjust the volume of the voices through the options menu by going to the following:
      • Options -> System -> Sound -> Voice Volume

Qol Changes

  • Enchant Scrolls will now display the name of the enchant in the scroll's name.
  • The Auction House search function has been updated to allow you to search by the enchant name.
  • Searches within the Auction House and Traveler's Guide are no longer case-sensitive.
  • The Chat Log now has a dedicated tab for NPC Chat.
  • All conversations that appear in the NPC Conversation window will appear in the chat log.

Durability Indicator

  • A new window will appear when the durability of your equipped item is close to breaking.
    • Above 20%, the indicator will display normally.
    • At under 20%, the indicator will display Yellow.
    • At 0% durability, the indicator will display Red.
  • The indicator will appear when you have any items equipped in your gear tab.
    • You can disable the indicator in the settings by going to:
      • Options → Game → Etc. → Hide Durability Alert

Forgetful Potions

  • All Special Forgetful Potions will be renamed to “Forgetful Potion”.
  • All Forgetful and Special Forgetful Potions now reset every day at 7:00 AM PDT.
  • The timer of any Forgetful and Special Forgetful potions currently on cooldown will reset with the upcoming maintenance to accommodate the change.

Inventory Identifier

  • Improvements to the UI have been made so it can be easier to see which inventory space belongs to a bag.
    • Hovering over a bag will darken the inventory that the bag belongs to.
    • Hovering over an item name in the "Inventory Magnifying Glass" will darken the inventory space that item is in.

Erinn Essence

  • When using a title coupon obtained from Erinn Spirit that has already been collected, you will now receive Erinn Essence, which can be traded in with Eavan at Dunbarton for a title coupon you may not yet have.

Gold Limit Expansion

  • The Gold Bank Limit has been increased to 30 Billion gold.
    • First 10 characters on the account will now increase the bank storage by 30 Million gold.
    • The 11th character and onward will now increase the bank storage by 15 Million gold.
    • An Active Life VIP or Combination VIP Membership will now increase the deposit limit by 600 Million gold.
  • The Auction House/Tara Auction Gold Limit has been increased to 30 Billion gold.
  • The design of the Bank Checks has been improved to accommodate the new limits.
  • The Check withdrawal amount from the Bank has been increased from 10 Million to 30 Million gold for Milletians without Life VIP or Combination VIP Service.
  • The Check withdrawal amount from the Bank has been increased from 60 Million to 100 Million gold for Milletians with Life VIP and Combination VIP Service.
  • The Remote Check-Issuing Ticket (100 Million), which can be obtained from the Erinn Merchants’ Guild Souvenir Box, has been increased to 300 Million.
    • Both the title and description of the item have been updated to reflect this.
  • New Bank Limit Expansion Coupons have been added to the Cash Shop:
    • Bank Limit Expansion Coupon (300 Million)
    • Bank Limit Expansion Coupon (500 Million)
  • When hovering over the [Limits] field in the Bank Tab UI, a new tool tip will be displayed with detailed information on how to increase the limit of your bank’s gold limit.

Other Changes

  • Additional UI has been added to help prevent trade items from being lost during commerce.
  • Extra info has been added to the fossil mini-game to clarify how to do a better job at excavating those bones.
  • Food will list whether they can be used as a Catering Ingredient or not once the character has learned Catering.

Generation 26: Winds of Fate Part 2 + Moonlight Island

Due to errors that could be caused by playing a mini-game in Homestead or Moonlight Island, you can no longer play a mini-game in Homestead/Moonlight Island.

Bug Fixes

  • Functionality has been restored to the Guilds, once again allowing Milletians to access management options, and transfer ownership of your Guild.
    • There is a lingering issue when Requesting Guild Budget within the in-game Guild Home window.
  • An exploit under investigation involving Treasure Chest Keys has been fixed.
  • G26 and Homestead related text fixes.
  • The following book has been renamed: Annals of the Dreaming Bard > A Record of a Bard's Dream

Elemental Knight Changes

  • The Link Bonus effect has been improved.
    • At Link Level 10, you can now use all 3 Elemental Instillments simultaneously.
  • Instillments will deactivate if either your Mana or Stamina are exhausted and will reactivate again when both are above 100.
  • When multiple Elemental Instillments are activated, the consumption rate will increase based on how many Instillments are active.
  • The Minimum and Maximum Damage effects now stack when multiple Elemental Instillments are activated.
  • Instillments no longer provide +1 Elemental Attunement.
  • Instill Flame : The Minimum and Maximum Damage Increases have increased for most skill ranks.
  • Instill Frost: The Minimum and Maximum Damage Increases have decreased for each skill rank.
  • Instill Thunder: The Minimum and Maximum Damage Increases have changed for each skill rank.
  • Blazing Assault Slash: Additional Effects have been added while using Instills.
  • Shattering Windmill:
    • Damage Calculations have been changed.
    • Additional Effects have been added while using Instills.
    • Cooldown has been reduced from 12 seconds to 10 seconds.
    • Increased the duration of frozen enemies at higher ranks.
    • The duration of the Frozen Status effect now resets when Shattering Windmill is used again while the target is still frozen.
  • Dynavolt Smash: Additional Effects have been added while using Instills.

Harmonic Saint Changes

  • The Link Bonus effects have been improved at the following levels: 6, 8 and 9.
  • Echoes of Salvation:
    • Now heals wounds for each skill rank.
    • MP and Stamina recovery are now instantaneous rather than increased recovery speed.
    • Additional MP and Stamina recovery based on the Rank of Enduring Melody’s recovery speed.
  • Voice of Vitality: Voice of Vitality’s Effect will now remain even when incapacitated.
  • Blessing of Protection: If the health of an ally or self is below 10% or in Deadly status, casting Blessing of Protection will now restore health up to 10%.
  • Pulse of Purification:
    • The usage method for the skill has been changed so that you can click the area that you wish to cast the skill.
    • Numerous changes have been made for each rank.
      • Casting Time has been reduced from 2 seconds to 1 second.
      • Cooldown has been drastically reduced from 360 seconds to 60 seconds.
      • Now only consumes Mana upon use.
      • The skill can now be canceled by using the skill again while activated.
      • The skill’s Piercing Effect has been removed.
    • Visibility of the Skill’s Effect has been enhanced. (From a solid black to a translucent white)
  • Added a new skill, Polyphonic Melody.
    • When activating Provides a chance for the next use of Enduring Melody, March Song, or Harvest Song to stack with other Musical Buffs.

Non-Arcana Skill Changes

  • Smash: Enemies who have Counterattack loaded and are not the intended target will not trigger its use nor be affected by the attack splash.
  • Bash:
  • Stacks now decrease by 1 instead of all stacks when the retention timer ends.
  • Fixed an issue where the skill could not be used on enemies in Finish State.
  • Rage Impact:
  • Now accounts for sizes of enemies when measuring distance.
  • Enemies hit by Rage Impact now have the debuff applied to them for the entire duration.
  • Debuff duration decreased from 10 seconds to 7 seconds.
  • Melee Attack Bonus Damage has been decreased at all ranks.
  • Glyphs with the Rage Impact Skill augment have had the Melee Attack Bonus Damage reduced from 1% to 0.3% per level.
  • The Bonus Melee Damage from the Rage Impact Enhancement on Imperial Knight Gloves have been reduced from +10% to +2%.
  • Musical Knowledge: The chances of performing Excellent and Inspiring Performances have been increased at higher ranks.

Fahmes Ruin

Fahmes Ruins has been re-added to the game with significant changes.

  • Fahmes Ruin Dungeon has been added to the Dungeon Guide.
  • The dungeon is restricted to Milletians level 5,000 or higher.
  • The dungeon consists of 6 Stages with 5 Floors each for a total of 30 Floors.
  • A star reward system has been implemented.

Fantasy Life Changes

Blacklisting
The Blacklist system is now separate from the Friends list and has been moved to the Options.

  • Settings → Game → Chat → Blacklist Setting
  • Blacklisted players in your Friends list will be moved to the Blacklist Settings list.

When a player has been Blacklisted:

  • Their character model will not be visible on screen.
  • Direct Messages and Notes will not be received.
  • Sound Effects are not heard.
  • Their Demigod Form will not be visible.
  • Props and Chairs set up will not be visible on screen.
  • Their PvP requests will be automatically rejected/ignored.
    • It is still possible to be hit by a Blacklisted player in EvG/PvDK however.
  • Their conversation and speech bubbles will not be visible.
  • Marriage Proposals are automatically ignored.
  • Couple Link Effects will not be visible. (i.e. Rose Couples Bracelet)
  • The option to request becoming the player’s Soulmate will not be available (during Doki Doki Event).

Other Changes

The reward selection panel UI has been updated.

  • You can now select the quantity.

The Combat Training - Training Dummy mission has been added to the Beginner Battle Class Board next to Duncan.

    • The mission will spawn 5 dummies that allow you to test your character's damage against similar Bosses in the game.
    • The Dummies added in the mission are:
    • Wooden Man as Weak as a Raccoon
    • Wooden Man as Sturdy as the Succubus Queen
    • Wooden Man as Sturdy as a Tech Duinn Geata
    • Wooden Man as Sturdy as Irusan
    • Wooden Man as Sturdy as Cailleach

The following bug fixes have been made to the game:

  • A myriad of miscellaneous text fixes for a multitude of places! Mostly Moonlight Island, Homesteads, and G26, but also (best girl) Rua's questline, some polish on various other UI, and a few others.
    • An exploit under investigation involving Crom Bás has been fixed.
    • Warmth of Life will now properly trigger on use of Party Healing for Harmonic Saints at Arcana Link 6.
    • Elemental Knight's Instill [Element] skills will now properly clear on death. It will now only take one use of an Instillment to recast it after death, rather than two.
  • Polished the following menus to improve overlapping text issues:
    • Spirit Weapon UI
    • Enchant UI
    • Moonlight Island UIs
  • The following items can now be stored in the Dressing Room:
    • Diamond Patterned Leather Armor (M)
    • Diamond Patterned Leather Armor (F)
  • The following items have been renamed:
    • Daby Scots Plaid Wear for Men -> Daby Scots Plaid Wear (M)
    • Daby Scots Plaid Wear for Women -> Daby Scots Plaid Wear (F)

Simplenogi

The Options Menu has been overhauled and updated to better assist Milletians with their settings.

  • Tabs/Categories in the Options have been re-labeled and reorganized.
  • All customizable options have been rearranged to fit the updated tab/category.
  • Many options now have hover text to further explain their functionality.
  • The following customization options have been removed and will be permanently activated:
    • Dithering
    • Sky Rendering
    • Rendering Specular
    • Shadow Blurring
    • Enable Hotkeys
    • Quick Equip
    • Highlight New Items
    • Giant / Nascent Divinity Camera Height Adj.
  • The following customization options have been removed and will be permanently disabled:
    • Reserve Attack
      • Auto-Attack is not being removed and has been relocated to the Gameplay tab.
  • The following customization options were removed due to the option not working as intended:
    • Use NPC Theme Music
    • Using 3D Sound
  • New customizable settings have been added to the Options Menu:

NPC Shop Menu

  • The UI of NPC Shops has been changed to a “list” format, allowing for better visibility on items, such as cost, inventory size, and more.
  • You can alternate between the two styles by clicking on “Switch to Bag” / “View as List” in the top right corner of the Shop Menu.
  • A search function has been added.
    • The shop search function is case sensitive.
  • You can now sell up to 14 items at once when selling to an NPC.
  • The repurchase limit from an NPC shop has been increased from 10 to 30.

Title Menu

  • Title Menu UI has been revamped.
  • Improved search functionality to now include effects from titles.
    • i.e. searching “Speed” will bring up “the Busy” title.
    • The title search function is not case sensitive.
  • Expanded the window for easier viewing of all titles.
  • Added a “Favorites” button to have your favorite titles be automatically listed at the top.
    • You can still right-click a title to add/remove from the favorites’ list.
  • A “Preview Effects” window has been added, allowing for visibility of 2nd Title Visual Effects.


Other changes:

  • Talent Title icons and 2nd Title icons will now be vertically centered based on all tags displayed in the name area (Guild, Talent, Name, etc.)
  • Spirit Transformation Liqueur (Invisible) is now available in Berched’s shop in Taillteann.
    • When applied, all visual effects from the Spirit Weapon will be invisible.
  • When defeating (most) non-boss monsters, the name will now be hidden and its body will turn transparent before disappearing.
  • The Combat Log will no longer list when you’ve made a critical hit on an enemy.

Auto-pathing adjustments

  • Auto-pathing has now been added to the game as an improvement to the auto-navigation system for Milletians and their Pets.
  • When clicking a location on the mini-map, a set route will automatically appear, allowing your character to run or ride all the way to its destination without making a 2nd marker.
  • Auto-pathing is only available in the overworld and is not available in some areas or conditions such as:
    • Commercing
    • Dungeons
    • Shadow Missions
    • Stellar Citadel
    • Any Doki Doki Flight
  • Auto-pathing will remember your pathing when on a mount and alternating between ground and sky.
    • The auto-pathing must be set before taking flight.

Fantasy Life Changes

  • The Library of Secrets has been added as a Deluxe Background for Astral Imprinting.
  • The name for the visual-only halo for Blaanid's Blessing has been renamed from Blessing Effect to Halo Effect. As this drop-down selection was always visual-only, not the strength of Blaanid's Blessing received, we hope that this better communicates as such.
  • The death-defying technique and Cwn Annwn skill, Defiance and Veil of Mystique, have had their priorities altered. When the conditions are met, Defiance will now activate before Veil of Mystique.
  • All non-gold currency will no longer be able to be stored in your bank.
    • Note: Any non-gold currency currently stored in your bank account will be automatically moved to the character based on the tab the currency is stored in. These include currency such as:
      • Dungeon Vouchers (1st Voucher, 2nd Voucher, etc.)
      • Adventure Seals
      • Gold-Leaf Pine Cones
