Talk:Bear (Family)

From Mabinogi World Wiki

I'm removing the Blue Grizzly Bear who Knocked Out a Person at 10, because it's really the same monster as Blue Grizzly Bear, but just with a title. There's no need to document it as a different monster. Instead, the title should be documented on the Titles page.Ziv 03:48, 30 May 2008 (PDT)

Bad News Bears

Is this a joke monster ...? No such thing spawns in Rano. ---Angevon 03:53, 18 January 2009 (UTC)

I think it is a joke.. Just look at its stats/info/drops.. Faekdrops! I'm going to remove it for now. --Kevin 04:17, 18 January 2009 (UTC)

New Content

Just updated to remove the Manchurian, Snowfield and the Ice bear from the Upcoming content section. -Fracture-

grizly and manchurian

is it really necessary to have Manchurians and grizzlys on separate pages? they seem just about the same as regular bears.--Sozen Cratos Focker 00:24, 18 May 2009 (UTC)

it kinda is since if you put all the bears together grizzly, manchurian, desert, snowfield and normal bears on one page it becomes extreamly long and hard to view like the Skeleton page. ~ Hikarixz

i didn't say snowfields or desert, i'm not sure those have the same ai. if you break it up into that many pages, itt becomes harder to navigate like it already is except worse.--Sozen Cratos Focker 01:16, 18 May 2009 (UTC)
The problem with AI is that multiple things have the same AI. Like Grendels have the same AI as Bears. Goblins, Kobolds, Spider Humanoids have all the same AI. Eventualy they start to make no sence. But thats just my opinion, since your idea of shortening the pages isn't a bad idea either. But what I though of was using more of a more specific categorization like the Worm page had Millipedes and Lungfish which was sort of confusing. ~ Hikarixz
Also I just noticed why were Millipedes even on the Worm page on the first place, if they were categorized in AI before I separated them wouldn't it have been on the Snake section. ~ Hikarixz
Erm ok, well pretty much everyone is used to the skeleton page it doesnt really matter. ~ Hikarixz

White desert bear

Under exp it says +10BP... whats that?

Battle Participation exp... ---Angevon 22:19, 1 June 2009 (UTC)

It always seemed to me like the white desert bear has a very high crit rate. Can anyone confirm? It would be useful information for its notes section. --Jerl 22:33, 26 April 2010 (UTC)

Burgundy

I tried to put the data on a template, failed, can someone help?

Done --DarkWyvern 13:13, 15 February 2010 (UTC)

Does the Burgundy Bear scroll actually drop from it now? --Kiripsan 14:14, 21 August 2010 (UTC)

Desert Bears no longer giving 4k exp

Killing Black Desert Bear the Soon to be Extinct only seems to give 666.67 exp now... white desert bear gives a similar amount. When did this happen? --Zirren 20:40, 7 July 2011 (UTC)

It sounds like you're in a party or something. is your expedition bonus 400%? If I recall, there's an area where black desert bears are close to the fish mark in connous. If you're hunting them near the fish mark, the expedition bonus will go down, depending on how far are you from the fish mark. it is advise to lure them out and towards the east.

Yeah, it sounds like must have been in a 6 person party.

...*cough* Guess I forgot to leave that production party. They definitely still give a lot of exp. You can go ahead and delete this thread now. --Zirren 20:40, 7 July 2011 (UTC)
