so i see that the percentages generally increase per step, but what are the maxes for a particular step?
for example a WC, WC, WC, WC, WC. is the max percent increase for the last WC 44% or 50%?

This is just based on the table above, so it might be old. I don't see that file in my files so I can't verify current.
I don't remeber it exacly but... Something like: Firebolt --> Ice Bolt --> Lightning Bolt --> Firebolt --> Icebolt. Is there anything like "special combo card"? Or just very good luck? (I had Bolt Magic Master title at this time... I hit 180+ with Ice Bolt.)
With G13 seemingly closing in on us, we don't really seem to have a lot of information about this. It kind of bugs me. Does anyone know where we might find more info on this?
Not in the slightest. If you use the 1st move on the combo card, it'll trigger a timer on the second move where if you use that move within the time limit without using a skill in between it'll become powered up then go to the third move and so on. Combo cards are totally random, so sometimes they can be impossible or impractical (such as Thunder -> Ice Spear -> Magnum Shot -> Smash -> Blaze). You have to keep gathering them to get a good one (for example, a coveted combo card would be Lightning -> Assault -> Smash -> Leap -> Blaze/Windmill) of course, your chances of getting an uber combo card like that are slim.
Do you have to perform the listed skills without using any other skills in between? The page doesn't specify. If so, does the combo abort upon executing or merely loading a different skill?
"Use the next skill within the specified time" works just as well, and allows for intermediate skill use. Last I checked, that's what the page says.
Edit: I just activated my Sprite Gold card, used Magnum twice and the combo did NOT cancel. So it looks like as long as the next skill doesn't time out you can use whatever you want in between, as I thought.
The Combo Card does not even enter a players inventory, it goes directly into the card tab. Therefore it holds a 0x0 inventory size.
