Needs to be updated?

Umm, not sure about you guys, but the old calculation tip from Feb. doesn't do anything for me. I did 5,000/823 = 6.07, then just rounded up to 7, but didn't receive any training for the items I sold. Either I'm not understanding something correctly, or the method doesn't work anymore. Just figured I would mention this in case it ends up being (currently) false information that should be removed.

Alexiael (talk)10:43, 10 August 2014

The method should work; I used it last month and received proper training. You seem to be doing the calculation correctly, so I'm not sure why you wouldn't receive training.

iDSd17:53, 10 August 2014

I dunno. The cost of 1 of the items by itself was 823. But I wanted to test it out a little bit so I did a run from Dunby to Tir carrying as much as I could. I made like 114,000 Ducats when I got to the other side and yet only satisfied the "1,000 or more" requirement. I find it very odd that it's doing that to me.

Alexiael (talk)21:58, 10 August 2014

Oh, I see.

The requirement is that you profit at least 5,000 ducats, not receive at least 5,000 ducats.

You must divide 5,000 by the profit (number in red? blue? i forget), not the amount it sells for.

iDSd22:07, 10 August 2014

Number in red = ^
Number in blue = V

So, divide 5,000 by the number in red. And yes, the calculation tip works for me as well.

The tip...

Do not sell all items in one bulk, as they will count for only one training. Sell them in separate amounts, but make sure the profit earned satisfies the requirements.

Wouldn't you risk under profiting at that town you're in that selling the highest due to that?

レキシス・ミカヤ (talk)20:37, 2 February 2014

If you miscalculate, yes.

Just divide the training amount by the profit gain of the item, and that tells you how much items you need to give. I'm not sure where it rounds to, but I always round up.

For example:

  • 5,000 / 300 = 16.667.
    • (Training Requirement) / (Profit Gain) = Selling Item Amount.

Final Profit Calculations?

How is it calculated?

Is Commerce Mastery bonus calculated before Letters of Guarantee? Or after? Or do they add together?

Kirbysama (talk)16:13, 13 June 2013

The bonus is additive.

So Rank 1 Commerce Mastery with a Fine Imp Letter gives 100% + 15% + 150% = 265% of the original profit.

Also, this is already on the Commerce Mastery page. Should it go here too?

Doomsday31415 (talk)17:22, 13 June 2013

This is the Commerce Mastery page, and it's not here. If you mean the Commerce System page, I didn't notice. It would be nice for it to be here, and also on the Letter of Guarantee page-- thanks!

Kirbysama (talk)17:30, 13 June 2013

Yeah, I meant the main Commerce page.

I guess I just liked saying Commerce Mastery repeatedly!

Doomsday31415 (talk)17:54, 13 June 2013

Just ducats or all?

The skill bonuses say just ducats, but someone changed the page to read exp, gold, ducats..

This will require testing. As ducat gain also effects how much exp and gold you get. So it all depends on if the commerce mastery boost is calculated before or after the experience and gold is.

Pyro - (Talk)05:41, 27 October 2012

It's calculated after the fact. I saw pictures with parenthesis showing a flat out 15% boost to each. The commerce exp formula doesn't work that way normally.

who is excited for this?

I know i am excited for Commerce Mastery but who else on wiki is?

Yumri13:59, 29 July 2012

It will be rank 1 within a day or so upon release. But yes, excited.

I am personally wondering about how long it will take for someone to reach r1 of Hoeing, if for no other reason than for having the title "The Hoe Master". -snickers- Sorry.

Oneris14:24, 29 July 2012

Hoe mastery requires one to get giant potatoes to rank.

Aubog00714:42, 29 July 2012

Does anyone know if it will/does on Korean servers or whatever, boost gold/experience gain in accordance to the higher ducat profits? This sounds pretty nice to have.

Mustavus (talk)19:19, 5 September 2012

Since the exp and gold obtained are based on your profit, chances are, yes.

It just says Ducats, but if Gold and EXP were boosted, Commerce would have pretty OP rewards.

Infodude575 (talk)22:32, 5 September 2012

Oh wait, I just realized this is posted on Commerce Mastery page. hurhur. I would think not. It'll probably be added after calculations. But, idk.

I agree with Infodude57 it would be but they have been releaseing some OPed skills lately then modifying them downwards to not be so much OPed so it might at first but then go down then back up a bit like what happened to windmill

Yumri (talk)22:56, 9 September 2012

This skill used to be 30% in KR test.
