Um, MediaWiki can transclude any page, including pages in article namespace (for example typing {{:Wiki Home}}
will put the Wiki Home page into the current page), not just templates... --Kakurady 10:52, 28 July 2008 (PDT)
Blacksmithing
I was going to make a list of what each ingot could be used to make for my own use and decided I'd add it to the wiki at the same time. I'm trying to do it in accordance with this project to save someone else the trouble of redoing it later but i'm not sure how to make the template. I've made one based off of Template:FoodUsedIn (found here) but it seems a bit long. Should i just divide it up into three different charts?--Jacobpaige 18:24, 29 August 2008 (UTC)
- Decided to divide into 4 charts (Melee weapons, Ranged weapons, Clothes and Armor, Tools and Items), but I'm having trouble with the last value on the one of the charts. Anyone know how I can get it to align properly?--Jacobpaige 05:41, 5 September 2008 (UTC)
- Nevermind, fixed it--Jacobpaige 18:33, 29 September 2008 (UTC)
Recipe
I've been putting the recipe as "at least (# of trys * amount per try)+ finishing materials" and while this is useful for anyone that plans to have the item made for them I'm not sure that its really the best format, especially if these data templates are ever used to replace the data in the Blacksmith List table. Anyone have any ideas for fixing this? I'd like to avoid creating more columns in the various table templates as they're a bit wide already. --Jacobpaige 03:04, 19 April 2009 (UTC)
Missing Values
What about Permanent Stat Changes from food, Injury and Critical Rates on Weapons, and Damage Shields on clothing/armor?--Jacobpaige 07:34, 30 August 2008 (UTC)
- added values for injury & critical rates and damage shields. not familiar enough with the food project to be confidant in altering its template.--Jacobpaige 18:12, 4 September 2008 (UTC)
Physical Changes
I'm not fond of the way the Physical Change section appears in food. Could we perhaps make labels for Body, Upper, Lower, like this? It's just I'd have no idea how to code it like that ... --- Angevon 01:42, 5 September 2008 (UTC)
- I was already doing this http://wiki.mabinogiworld.com/index.php?title=Apple but it would probably be better if it was added into the noinclude section of the templates or the value/argument notes on the DeadEiry page. Ex:
for negative weight value -weight value for positive weight value weight value
- I'm not sure how to write that so that you can see it when not on the edit page though...--Jacobpaige 04:24, 5 September 2008 (UTC)
- omg, how is the transclude not freaking out at the "=" in the font color coding? I thought it hated when you tried to do that?? -- Ladywinter 09:23, 18 March 2009 (UTC)
- I just ran a test...apparently it DOESn't freak out. o.0 However, if you really want to take all formatting out of the hands of the data entry ppl, then the method I sussed out is that you place in the template:data page a positive and negative and then format the color in on the template:style level
- ie. Template:Data has WeightPos and WeightNeg
- then in Template:StyleFoodHeaderBody have "Body<font color="blue">{{{WeightPos}}}</font><font color="red">{{{WeightNeg}}}</font>"
- you probably will never have both positive and negative value so the value that's blank's coloring should not affect the rest of it. ...In theory. -- Ladywinter 09:34, 18 March 2009 (UTC)

Going Price on servers
Do we want to include the min and max prices for personal shops and trades? On a per server basis? -- Deathbob 15:22, 18 March 2009 (UTC)
- Is MinSell and MaxSell PC's or NPC's? Deathbob 14:32, 14 April 2009 (UTC)
The market changes all the time and changes drastically when something is in demand. Something like this shouldn't be on a wiki due to the fact that it will go through too many changes. For the market prices and such, players should go to the Market Forums on the Mabinogi Nexon site. --Zephyre11:50, 15 April 2009 (EST)
- Thats why I removed the content from my page, although it helps the users to determine a range to sell goods at, the volitility of the market and now the introduction of new items seems to throw off the predisposed pricesCocyx 15:54, 14 April 2009 (UTC)
Repair Type on "item used in" templates
Eh, I'm going to remove this because, as far as I've seen, the repair type is the same as the making method. Repeat data is not needed. ---Angevon 19:57, 7 July 2009 (UTC)

Do we still need this page? I think we can just put a brief explanation of transclusion on Category:Data and Category:Incomplete and have no more use of this page.
I think we need a category for images that need reuploading that we can't exactly clean. So if someone who wants to help the wiki who has the item can upload it his or her self. People often overlook an image because there is already one there, regardless of quality. And by a category for images, I mean for the image's page, not the item's page. This can apply to icons, dropped item images, previews/appearance when worn, etc.
I think there should be a separation between missing and in need of updating. NeedPicture and NeedIcon is put on the item's page when a picture needs to be uploaded or isn't following the policy. Instead, NeedReupload (hypothetical name) can be put in the image's page if they are bad quality or do not follow the policy. (Or if they need cleaning if a person tagging an icon can't clean the icon.) Also, this can also be used on images that aren't on item or equipment pages.
I feel the NeedPicture/Icon categories sufficiently cover all aspects of image uploads. You can put in a tag on the page that's hidden in normal viewing (visible when editing the page)that explains why that particular image is in need of picture/icon:"<!-- reason for adding to category here -->" (minus the quotes) From what I understand NeedIcon covers all bad icons, not just equipment. It's just a matter of someone adding the tag. And NeedPicture is fairly active for policy breaking images. I don't see any real sense in adding another category that is already covered by existing ones.
