Talk:Enthralling Performance
Can anyone with an account on the test server confirm some things about lure of ballad? Thanks.
1. Can custom score scrolls be used with the skill?
2. Do the effects of magical music stack with the effects of lure of ballad?
3. Does lure of ballad influence the success rate of music?---Kaeporo 10:37, 25 July 2010 (UTC)
- 1. Yes
- 2. It's not the playing instrument skill, so I'd assume no.
- 3. No IHarryl 20:54, 25 July 2010 (UTC)
Since you say score scrolls work, would it mean you can make a very long song and have monsters follow you around for that amount of time? --Bryanneo 13:16, 5 August 2010 (UTC)
- Yes, but at rank F it takes close to 2 or 3 stamina per second so don't think you can keep them forever :P. I think the radius of effect increases with rank, but I have no evidence at this time. Also the page itself says that the skill can be used with any scroll, make sure you read the details. Tellos 14:09, 5 August 2010 (UTC)
Lure of Ballad deals damage?
According to this source, [1] Lure of Ballad has what appears to be a damage multiplier. The rest of the information seems dead accurate with this one exception. I'll add the information to the chart with some concurance. Thanks.---Kaeporo 16:56, 14 September 2010 (UTC)
- I have a feeling that, since it's a percent, this is the bonus other players get for attacking the monsters.Novaix 05:03, 10 October 2010 (UTC)
Enthralling Performance extra functionality
If nobody noticed, not only do you lure monsters, YOU OVERWRITE THEIR IDLE POSITION (The position they go back to after chasing a target too far, or warping back to)! Say you used the skill several times, using warps or doors to drop their aggro, you can essentially a monster from outside of dunbarton, into it, and it will stay there with it's new location. You can also use this as a training method by packing a lot of easy to tame monsters in front of a door, and continuously play-enterdoor-wait cooldown-exitdoor-repeat. I lured 2 grey rats and 2 white spider in front of simon's shop... I wanted to set up a huge web spawning area but forgot white spiders aggro too easily to other players and follows them. (They need to be non-aggro to make cobwebs)--Dra6o0n 20:53, 19 January 2011 (PST)
Elf Hide Tactic
Using elves and their hide ability will enable you to lure and drop monsters into town. The only issue is the stamina potions you'll need to do this for a lengthy period. Luring red spiders into town to kill bots works pretty well. Outside of typical luring, using elf hide and this skill can allow the user to set up the mobs into a specified spot, and kill them using WM or other AoE skills.--Dra6o0n 22:21, 22 January 2011 (PST)
CCing between two channels
This works wonder at dunb south with all those rats. Apprently ccing also removes the 10second cooldown, but this could be my imagination. The only downside is I get d/c about once every 20 ccing.

This is probably silly but will Enthralling Performance work with ^?
Piano's an obvious no, no? Because it is a chair.
Violin? Probably, when I use the skill with the cello, it actually tells me that I don't have the rank for it.
Mines a Rank 2 and Cello doesn't work. It'd probably would if it could levitate.
Grr, I missed that...
It's a freakin chair.
You can't use any of the other magic music skills. You can't even move around on it.
Take your guess man.
I don't get why you HAVE to move to play Enthralling Performance. I can see the skill working just fine even if stationary.
I know, I'm just saying the story belongs to the Pied Piper, not DevCAT. Since we were talking about the logic of this skill.
DevCAT's stories weren't original, but this is the first I've heard of them doing something like this. What else did they rip off?
Enthralling Performance was what Shakespeare used to lure the children of the Partholonians. The music enticed the children and that is why they didn't seem to care that their parents died. It put them into a tranced state, almost hypnotic. Shakespeare, the ultimate kidnapper
...Besides, there's those cellos on wheels that people have so that they can move around while playing. Same with Pianos, though a bit of force is needed to push it. I don't see why those can be implemented.
I'm still leaning toward levitating piano and cello.
He also forced rats into committing suicide with it, too. Also Bella was the one who taught him the skill.
May I ask if anyone knows when the damage modifier from the skill was removed? I remember with the bard update, it was still there (friend was raising enthralling and with testing my damage changed significantly). Did the talent system remove it, or did Nexon pull it out with a small update in between then and now to give lullaby more of a use, since enthralling outclassed it in terms of a damage boost.
Just wanted to get some feedback before adding some contraversial content.
Would anyone mind if I started adding a related reforges section to skill pages?
i.e. something along the lines of

with hyperlinks leading to the reforge page and maybe 100 other things....
Seems like a big undertaking, for all the skills that exist in mabi. But if you want to do it, it would be useful.
Eh. It's not as much as it sounds like. 412 different upgrades, some untranslated. Easily sortable by skill. Then just match it with the reforge string.
yeah the 412 should keep me going for awhile but thats not really an issue for me. I just want to figure out the details before I start.
ok first things first what should the table look like?
also should we be using templates here? if we don't and someone updates the main reforge page we would get inconstant data.
Just how does that work?
I'm assuming party members attacking the lured animals gain the damage multiplier. That what I always thought the purpose of this skill was, at least... (If not, probably shouldn't have wasted 188 AP on it...)
Also, although there isn't a load time, there's a slight delay before you can try to tame any monsters with it. And once you tame one monster near another monster, they sort of chain reaction and tame from closest to the last tamed monsters, not closest to you.
I think its added by the multiplier. Like 100 added by 50% (50) would equal 150. But that's my guess.
I have confirmed that, at least being rank F, you can use Enthralling Performance to achieve the title "who Seduced a Succubus". Can someone confirm this also being true for other taming titles or even for G8 taming requirements?
Is there any other skill that increases it's rate?(ex. CoD to Animal Taming)
When I tested for the damage multiplier for rank F I found I wasn't causing anymore damage than normal with magic or melee.
Can anyone give confirmation that it gives any damage boost at higher ranks?
If not, the damage multiplier should probably be removed.
If you were the one using the skill, you wouldn't be able to attack them.
It actually gives a damage penalty until the higher ranks, where it gives a boost.
I was using two computers and having the alt attack it while I played music, with 100 max I was hitting an observed max of 99~ and critical hitting for 249~ (this is with R1 critical hit). The mob used had 1 def 0 protect (Black Direwolf Cub).
As for magic my alt was causing a constant 233 damage both before and during the song with lightning bolt.
I think it would be more accurate it label it as Damage Multiplier because it's not a +boost. ie rank F is 50% of damage, not +50%
I've been trying to obtain the "Who Seduced a Succubus" title for a good while now. I only have rF Enthralling Performance, but that's good enough to seduce at least the black succubus in Rabbie Normal. Additionally, music only lasts 20 seconds at my rank. I'm pretty sure that we have the pre-patched version of the skill. The CP limits for the pre-patched version are 1000, 1100, 1200, 1300, 1400, 1500, 1700, 1900, 2100, 2300, 2800, 3100, 3400, 3700, 4000.
Can anyone confirm/deny? Thanks.
At rank B, I'm able to lure a 1200 CP Brown Grizzly Bear Cub, but can't lure the monsters at 1500CP and up. I think 1400CP is the rank B pre-patched CP limit.
The chart COULD be G14 so it might be misleading.
Since the current CP limit chart is off completely, I'll replace the numbers now with Kaeporo's until there is further change/suggestion.
I've noticed that the cp of the mob seems to affect which mob gets bewildered first. In a room full of skeletons and mimics, the mimics are almost always affected first. Will do more testing on it and see if I'm right.
I've found out that you cannot use ANY instrument for Enthralling Performance. At rF you can only use Whistles, Flutes (including Siren's), and Chalumeaus. Anyone willing to look into this? Won't be getting any more free AP for two weeks.
You can play roncadoras at rF as well. Still rF myself so I'm not aware if you can use different instruments with increased ranks.
Increased ranks allow more instruments to be used. By r4, you can use wind, string, small drum, and handbell instruments I believe. Didn't keep track of when each get anabled tho unfortunately.
