Talk:Homestead Candy Bonanza Event (2015)

Has anyone gotten any yet? I've fished up a book, but not a skill book.

The rewards from this event are very different from the last one, so there's no reason to assume skill books are on the list.

I am only asking since they put it in the description on the mabinogi site.

Yeah, they do say that, however we're not sure at this point; it's only been like 2 days since release. I'm sure this page will expand over the course of the weeks to come.

So far it's just the book to learn Healing. But watch this space.

In the Homestead Fishing Event, Candy Bait could fish up several skill books, but I've yet to catch any during the present event.

In the fishing list I see Candy Cane, Lollipop Sword, and Roll Cake Cylinder under weapons. Don't those only come out of candy jars? If you fished one you'd presumably get them with 0 durability, and I've not gotten any such.

Shouldn't the Candy Jar rewards also be included as well?

It says that it's a fishing list so I doubt any items gained from the Candy Jar should be placed in there.

Forgive me if I'm missing something obvious, but I tried to use the tuna I got from the Candy Bait for Bacon Wrapped Tuna, and I followed the recipe exactly, but it always gave me food waste. Same with the Salmon, but the King Crab and the Flying fish cooked fine. Were the recipes that went along with the DokiDoki Island fish retired along with the event?

The recipes were retired.

Maybe we should make a note of that somewhere.

You can put an archive tag on the recipes, because they don't even show up. But seems useless to put it on the event page.

Shouldn't the description on dyes be changed? From you can only get the candy tree dyes when you have the quest, but when you don't have the quest you get regular dyes and metal dyes. There might be others too, but those are the ones I got so far. It also seems you can only get regular dyes and metal dyes when you don't have the quest.

Yeah, whoever wrote that just forgot to read into it.

Not true, I've gotten regular dyes along with candy tree dyes.

Same here, I got dyes all around.

I think there's confusion about this; when you have the quest there's still the chance to get Dye Ampoules along with a chance to get the candy one if you have the quest.

There's nothing wrong with it. I think I'm just trying to clarify; although it feels like I'm being more vague though.

From previous, they got rid of the AP pot and Pon Coupon and nerfed the EXP reward.

Homestead Candy Bonanza quest also doesn't give 5000 gold this time, it gives 10,000 EXP.
