Is the Damage Chart Right?
I've been messing with spear of light at rank F and something is really amiss about the damage. While the chart says 750 base explosion at rank F.... I've seen the spear hit even 1.5k without a critical hit. I also seen it do even 3k, 4k, even up to 6k to some monsters. What's up with the numbers? Does higher total increase the damage or what? - I feel like there is a bonus damage rate and the damage is the "base" like it literally says and that additional damage can be built up through some requirement. Do you suppose the higher number of times you rebirth the higher the damage or some other modifier like that? --Miyuna 02:57, 9 August 2010 (UTC)

- Maybe the rank of Awakening of Light adds a skill effect multiplier? If there are any multipliers or base damage modifiers they will be in the var list of the skill in Skill_leveldetail.xml. I can't access post G9 skills for it, or I'd add in AoLs regen rates and other things that are tricky to find. Tellos 17:13, 9 August 2010 (UTC)

Spear of God

Can evasion be used to dodge Spear of Light? After spearing a rank F evader about 6 times, he was hit every time. But I'm not convinced yet...
The timing would have to be god-like, if you ask me. Especially if you have r1 Spear of Light.
Spear of Light at r1 has an explosion radius of 300, Evasion's movement distance is 350. 50 isn't that big of a difference. If you hit him mid-evasion then obviously it's going to hit him with whatever rank Spear of Light.
But that's just my speculation.
This has been on my to do list for years, but more people helping would be easier. I'm trying to pin down the multiplier on the players damage.
I know the following things:
Player min, max, and balance are factored in.
The damage is based on the players damage shown in the character screen. This means if you have a bow its dex bessed, melee is str based, etc.
It counts as base damage, so crit is also part of it.
What I don't know:
The multiplier (I know it could be as high as x15)
Special upgrade crit increase factor.
If anyone could help me get more samples so I can get an exact multiplier it'd be much appreciated
Please be sure to use it on Foxes or Bears (1 def 0 prot) to get accurate measurements
Include your max and min. Also include your SoL rank. If you are using +Damage enchants please list those as well as my initial testing shows they could be factored in differently.
Even if its just a few, it'll add up and we can pin down the multiplier.
Does it really do that? Because I just Spear of God a Wild Troll and it only did 6k damage...
Shouldn't it do more than that if it ignores?
