Talk:Courcle Artifacts

From Mabinogi World Wiki

Are Lightning/Snow/Sun fragments...

...usually in Hobgoblin Guarded chests? If so, then CRAP!!!!

No, I have found in unguarded chests...only major difference is unguarded chests have 1 artifact and guarded chests have 2 artifacts.--Tehtammar 20:53, 11 August 2009 (UTC)

Rewards

I think the usefullness of this table could be greatly expanded by including a column listing the rewards for turning in each item (or at least a range) to maximise exploration time (i.e. are stacks of 5 worth it or should they be turned in unrestored?; where are the best places to gain money?; the best places to earn expl exp?). --Skynet 11:48, 24 July 2009 (UTC)

well, uncompletely restored (i.e. Irnid Crystal Orb) HAVE to be completely restored to turn in, but still, it's a good idea...--Dtdsora AKA Viri The White Knight-in-training 20:36, 24 July 2009 (UTC)
Case in point: Courcle terra cotta slab can be turned in for ~800-900 gold/800-900 expl. exp minus restoration expenses (and loses). However, instead of restoring the 5 or more pieces to make the Courcle terra cotta slab, you can turn each one in UNRESTORED for ~200 gold/ 200 expl exp. ea, not only getting a higher reward, but also saving appraisal costs, the risk of breaking and lossing the item and saving space and time. --Skynet 13:30, 25 July 2009 (UTC)

Yeah, this table desperately needs a reward column. I'll add it and some data once I can --Doomsday 15:40, 9 August 2009 (UTC)

The rewards column may be unnecessary, seeing as getting multiples of the same item does not always mean the reward will be within 100 gold or exp of each other. After looking at the chart and the items i have found the reward seems based on artifact size: 1x1's all fall in same range as similar sized artifacts as do 1x2's, 2x2's, and fragmented artifacts.--Tehtammar 20:50, 11 August 2009 (UTC)

Rewards from books?

what ARE the rewards from completing the the explorers book?

Collection Books--Tehtammar 20:56, 11 August 2009 (UTC)

Does someone have...

a picture of the unrestored (Sun/Snow/Lightning) fragment?

They look like unrestored slab pieces. You can't tell the difference until they are restored.

so sorta like the magic orbs
No. They look like unrestored slab pieces. --Skynet 13:39, 25 July 2009 (UTC)
So the item for it is either an unrestored slab or the fragment?? Maybe i should make it with an Unrestored picture, Restored Exp/Gold, and unrestored exp/gold--Dtdsora AKA Viri The White Knight-in-training 16:26, 25 July 2009 (UTC)
Maybe 2 tables would be more appropriate. There are different rewards for restored and unrestored items and some items are worth restoring while others not (notably the item stacks, as I mentioned above^^). It would make things neater too. --Skynet 18:31, 25 July 2009 (UTC)
Okay, then scratch the restored/nonrestored exp/gold
Just so you know, the reward experience and gold are not constant. The same artifact can worth more or less than last. --Kaillera 18:41, 26 July 2009 (UTC)
Rewards may not be constant, but the variation in reward is small enough (less than 5%) that listing reward ranges is usefull comparing items. I'll begin researching and listing those rewards as soon as we figure out how to list unrestored versus restored versus completed stacks properly. --Skynet 19:08, 26 July 2009 (UTC)
I had a broken map peice, however it wouldn't let me turn it in untill I made the full map. Does that help.? Koil 19:30, 26 July 2009 (UTC)
You can trade 5 of them in for more exp individually UNRESTORED, than if you handed in a stack of 5 restored. Plus you don't have to hastle with luggin it around and breaking it and spending money restoring it. --11:39, 27 July 2009 (UTC)

okay...

i reuploaded the bone ocarina piece and the Kiwi pot, because someone said not to use jpg, and uploaded them as a png

It would be nice if you could remove the excess parts that are not part of the actual artifact (such as the grid) so they fit with the format/look of the other artifacts. Also you should sign all talk pages by clicking "Your signature with timestamp" or type in four squiggly lines together ~.--Akumo 20:37, 28 July 2009 (UTC)
I went ahead and edited most the images to cut out the excess and saved em as png even though I wasn't the one to upload it. I do wish people would not save as jpg though since the image is slightly fuzzy.--Lighthalzen 20:43, 25 August 2009 (UTC)

Lappa, La Terra, and Suytu

I'm trying to get the tenth collection book complete, but the courcle terra cotta pot and courcle pot fragment are listed as la terra highlands, lappa village, and suytu river finds. When I L-rodded in la terra and lappa, all I could find were statues, and I don't know where I should L-rod for Suytu. Any help here?

Those statues have artifacts in them. You can gather pieces of artifacts using your bare hands by clicking on them. Statues usually have two artifacts max that can be gathered from them. And for Suytu stuff, just explore close to the river.--Akumo 19:32, 29 July 2009 (UTC)

Courcle Terra Cotta Slab Piece Location

I've gone through over eighty artifacts (I can hold up to 20~25 per run, and I've done four runs) while exploring the circumference of Cor, and haven't found a single Courcle Terra Cotta Slab Piece. Is its marked location "Outside of Cor Village" a mistake? --Aramet 18:07, 30 July 2009 (UTC)

No. You can get them from around the town, and right near Herba Jungle. Keep looking; they are definitely there. Harry

Non-Restored Image Column?

Does anyone else find a use for this? I find it to be kinda pointless since most artifacts are pretty obvious what they are un-restored. (with the exception of the orbs which you won't be able to distinguish from anyways). Thinking about removing it, especially since theres only one image in the column, but I would rather get the input of others first.--Lighthalzen 20:47, 25 August 2009 (UTC)

Possible page merger?

Should the information from this article be merged with Courcle Excavation to increase the user friendliness of both articles similar to how the lost elves page is done?--Tehtammar 20:14, 11 August 2009 (UTC)

Possible Glitch??

Most of the time, when i search for artifacts in Courcle, the boxes disappear extremely fast (even right after it spawns), which is a pretty poor time to get to that box. Glitch or not? ~ Darkblade132

It's not a glitch. All chests are set to run by timers on which they will appear/disappear/respawn and whatnot. So at specific times, a chest whether uncovered or not, will disappear and then appear again at a specific time. The thing here is that due to artifact exploration, the chests in Courcle have much shorter times in which they need to be found so as such their timers are shorter and this naturally leads to more people stumbling upon a chest just as it's due to disappear. I've had "normal" chests in Rano and Connous disappear just as I've found them too, it's all about timing.--Mystickskye 04:04, 7 February 2010 (UTC)
That doesn't really make sense though... Why set a timer for it? Its no good for us. ~ Darkblade132
Makes perfect sense, If there are 60 people/bots/farmers/etc searching for the chests you want them to disappear quickly so others have a chance to get them. It's the same reason all the overworld monsters behave in the "kill one, spawn two" manner. If there are a lot of people killing monsters, then more monsters spawn faster. On some servers, certain days there will be at least a few people doing exploration, so if the timer was longer than 5 minutes, all the chests would be gone quickly. On the other hand, the spawn time is too short to actually kill the monsters unless you can 1-hit-kill them. I've had many chests that appear, two monsters appear, I WM them, and they both deadly... so I wm them again, they ko, but the chest disappears as the key drops. It would be better if the individual chests timed out instead of ALL of them at once, but hey, nobody complains about it, so it's obviously not a problem to nexon. KisaiTenshi 06:46, 7 February 2010 (UTC)
You could noob it up like me. For easy exploration levels, I follow the bots around and steal their artifacts. If monsters spawn, then double the artifacts and some gold (since the bot will just run away). Also, you can kill the monsters without 1-hitting and have time. It's up to chance if you have enough time left. about half the time I wind up with a key in my inventory and no chest whenever I am lazy at killing the monsters. smash+smash+ice+n+1. Assuming you get the two smashes in, it should work for "average" strength people. ;) --Haven923 06:56, 7 February 2010 (UTC)
Eh... So bots have to ruin it for us huh? ~ Darkblade132

Box Artifacts and NPC Shop Selling

Since the Treasure Hunter update added in the feature of being able to sell artifacts at NPC shops for their ordinary value of Gold and Exploration Experience, should it be noted somewhere that you do NOT get the contents of a boxed artifact if you sell it to an NPC shop? You will merely get the value of the box itself.

In order to get the artifact inside a boxed artifact chest (Kiwi Pot/Maned Aardvark Statue/etc.), they must be turned in to Voight, otherwise you essentially miss out on a little bonus reward.

Iyasenu (talk)06:06, 18 September 2014

Oh yeah, that's a pretty important consideration. Someone else mentioned it but I completely forgot about it till now. Technically the page already says "Give to Voight to receive the item inside the box" but I feel like it should be written elsewhere because this isn't exactly a high traffic page.

Mystickskye (talk)07:05, 18 September 2014

Yes that definitely needs to be mentioned here. But is there a way to make this page more high-traffic?

On a side note this page also needs a lot of tweaking; outdated information, too many sentences that could be shortened or fused, the excavated and appraised artifact descriptions were altered, and not to mention Artifact Investigation also applies here.

Courcle Artifacts

Are all non-completed/completed artifacts tradeable?

SoraHikari13:09, 30 June 2012

I think so...All I know is the ANcient Fragments for g7 are tradable.

S•A•R•I•A13:10, 30 June 2012

You can only trade the G7 Fragments. All others are untradable.

S•A•R•I•A19:42, 11 July 2012

Ehh...I don't think the merge is necessary

My lame excuse/reason for this is...there's already a mess of images. just save it as a subpage o-o?

S•A•R•I•A01:32, 19 June 2012

Can the G7 relics be traded?
