Talk:Daily Effects

From Mabinogi World Wiki

Some of the daily effects listed on the page are different for the NA version. Shop discounts and bank fee reduction is on Friday, and Part-time job bonuses are on tuesday. There are a few others that are out of place for NA, I'll see if anyone remembers what the effects are.

Hmm, it seems that NA is using an earlier version of daily effects. --Kakurady 06:08, 20 March 2008 (PDT)
I've edited Tuesday, and I'll try to match the rest of the days if they are different. Mice 07:11, 25 March 2008 (PDT)

Concerting Baltane

"Dungeon Maps change even if the same item is dropped." - This is NOT a typo. The dungeon system is made so that you can enter an already made dungeon. After the dungeon is cleared, there is about a 1 minute delay until a new dungeon can be made. If you check Alby dungeon on normal days and drop 1 gold, you will always get a concrete layout of a dungeon. If you drop 1 gold on the dungeon on Baltane, the layout will change, meaning the map itself will be different. --Zephyre 7:48, 21 April 2009 (EST)

No, all dungeon maps are randomly generated every time a new dungeon is made. What it's saying is that, unlike on normal days, two people dropping the same item in the same dungeon altar won't get into the same dungeon. --Jerl 06:11, 18 August 2009 (UTC)

Increase in quality of output for productions?

So, the effect text for Alban Eiler (Monday) includes "Increase in quality of output for productions." I was just wondering if anyone had any thoughts or data on what this actually means. Does it tweak the Silk and Fabric quality distributions to increase the chance of higher quality output? Does it decrease the amount of precision required for better grade items in the Tailoring and Blacksmithing minigames? Personally, I'm hoping for at least the former, since I have Rank 8 Weaving coming up.... RaccoonGoon 22:27, 16 August 2009 (UTC)

Wednesday

It's a 5% decrease in NPC shop prices or on Wednesdays the NPC shop prices are 95% of the prices on other days but it is NOT a 95% decrease. Changed Wednesday's daily effect on NPC prices to a 5% decrease. --ZRoc (Talk) 04:41, 17 September 2009 (UTC)

Drop Rates

Baltane vs Alban Heruin
Is there a difference between "increase in dungeon drop rate" and "increase in animal drop rate"? Animals have been applied to fomors and other enemies when thinking of magic music or animal taming, so is it safe to assume that drop rates in dungeons are increased on both tuesday and wednesday? --Justified 18:50, 30 September 2009 (UTC)

I think by animal drop rate it means anything outside of dungeons, or ONLY animals, like rats, bats, spiders, etc. but not goblins, werewolves and things like that. the name of animal taming just a name. there might be a tag or something that determines if something is an "animal" or not that's separate from being able to tame it, that or its just means stuff outside of dungeons like i think, but i doubt it applies to everything you can tame. *shrugs*--(not-so)Anonymous 02:54, 1 October 2009 (UTC)
IIRC, the "increase in animal drop rate" actually refers to the various gathering animals and such. It's the case for rain but I can't remember for sure if this is the case with Alban Heruin as well...--Mystickskye 23:21, 2 October 2009 (UTC)
Hmm. It would make more sense if it meant gathering animals... though drop 'rate' seems like the wrong phrasing to use. Also life skill day is on Alban Eiler, so it would be the only effect out of place. The "and nature" part is what makes me think it means sheep and such, yet even with a thunderstorm I've never gotten more than 10 herbs/crops/firewood in one spot. As for the animal/fomor thing, I was gonna say fomor scroll quests call everything an animal, but now that I double checked, some are labeled as fomors (skeletons), some animals(spiders/imps), and some neither(flying swords/sprites).--Justified 11:05, 11 October 2009 (UTC)

Daily effects changing

From the article: "Daily effects change after some patches (as does the sequence of the Moon Gates.) The second change was in Generation 3, Season 2 and the third will likely be in Generation 4." Aren't we at Generation 9 now? This seems a little outdated. Monkeyfetus 00:48, 6 February 2010 (UTC)

In-game the scrolling text that tells us the daily effect doesn't seem to say that it increases alchemy crystal-making success rate on Saturday, even though it indeed increases the success rate. --Dias 16:50, 20 February 2010 (UTC)
Added the Alchemy success rate increase to the Saturday effect list, with a note indicating that it is not listed in-game but still exists.--MegaMan Trigger 09:43, 25 March 2010 (UTC)

Tuesday and Shadow Missions

Does the Tuesday "Increase in dungeon item drop rate." Also effect the Shadow Missions? what i mean is, are Shadow Missions considered Dungeons? Bluehairchaos 00:21, 29 June 2010 (UTC)
