Balance

When it says that it increases balance, does it mean for ranged attacks only or for all attacks period? --Jacobpaige 20:13, 1 February 2009 (UTC)

All attacks. --Kevin 21:36, 1 February 2009 (UTC)
According to Balance this is not the case. Which is true? --Hecate 13:25, 27 April 2010 (UTC)

'Ranged Attack / "Ranged Combat Mastery"?

Isn't the official translation supposed to be 'Ranged Combat Mastery'? Because Ranged Attack is actually a mastery skill. It increases ranged attacks in general, and your body does NOT flash when you use it, therefore its basically like normal hit with range. --Fruitrecruit

No, mastery skills are passive, and Ranged Attack is an active skill. Just because it raises the attack damage doesn't make it a mastery. ~Fracture
in the game's files, ranged attack is called ranged combat mastery. and the way it works is very similar to regular combat mastery(no flash, activates immediately on clicking a monster instead of you havening to "use" it manually)--Sozen Cratos Focker 02:36, 10 May 2009 (UTC)

Oops

YES I KNOW I SORTA KINDA ACCIDENTLY..? ADVERTISED MY CHAR/GUILD THING.. ON ACCIDENT. Sheesh. At least no one has rubbed it in..yet D: I thought it really wouldn't matter, not like i was gaining anything from it, but now i blurred out my char name and guild.... and IDK if I had any other screenies that had my charname in them. Maybe the popo skirt one (oh god I HATED that). Please don't yell at me T.T"--♫ѕτя♪ 20:17, 6 May 2009 (UTC)

screenchot

in the pic of someone using it, the name is blured out instead of just not there(you can turn off name display by pressing ctrl+n)--Sozen Cratos Focker 02:38, 10 May 2009 (UTC)

They know. --Kevin Talk«) 02:47, 10 May 2009 (UTC)
Sorry but I was too lazy to try and retake those split-second shots all over again.... And it'd be weird if it was a chuck of blue/black/white/purple or whatever.--♫ѕτя♪ (I can't find an "a" D:) 22:43, 12 May 2009 (UTC)
Feel free to do it yourself.--♫ѕτя♪ (I can't find an "a" D:) 22:44, 12 May 2009 (UTC)
i would, but my human isn't an archer.--Sozen Cratos Focker 23:12, 12 May 2009 (UTC)

Elf and Human Range Links

Should the content of the Ranged Attack page link to both Human Ranged Attack and Elf Ranged Attack, like the Clothing List does for female and male clothing lists? --Aramet 23:35, 3 June 2009 (UTC)

Links to strategies non-existent

Been fixing these all day but now those are a different matter and I'm not sure on how to do it. Just need to replace all the old tactics links to something that works like the solo and team ranged-based tactics section or something maybe? --Melodious 19:35, 13 July 2009 (UTC)

I just fixed the links. The tactics page has been reorganized into more pages since this article was written, therefore the links were not up-to-date and redirected to the wrong spot. Just needed to link them to the new and correct place. --Powder Rune 19:37, 13 July 2009 (UTC)

Rank D requirements

On the in-game screen, I still have a "Training Method Unknown", however, I have all of the objectives that the wiki says are there shown. Anybody know what this mystery objective is? o-o —Preceding unsigned comment added by Zallist (talkcontribs) . Please always sign your comments with the Signature.png button or by typing ~~~~!

Having Rank D ranged attack myself, I can tell you that the missing requirement (I assume the last one, correct?) is "Receive a Powerful Attack from a Strong Enemy" (Guessing this means to get hit by Magnum Shot from a Strong-rated enemy). I can't confirm how many points it gives or anything like that, so someone should test it and put it up on there. (Also, you should sign your comments. Wiki Policy I think.) --Red Lion 17:22, 23 April 2010 (UTC)

Aim Speed

I was wondering if a human and an elf both with their Ranged Attack at r1 started aiming, with the skill already loaded, who would reach 99% first? I was also wonder if their base aim speed is the same.--Tehmwu 00:22, 3 August 2010 (UTC)

Apparently, Human ranged aims faster, so.. humans? --κєνıи тαıĸ«) 01:28, 3 August 2010 (UTC)
I believe he is referring to the theory that elves might have, at rank F, faster aiming speed anyways. This might mean that human and elf aiming speed at rank 1 is comparable or better. Which would mean that elves would be faster overall at range because they have comparable aiming speed but a shorter load time. -- ladywinter ~{talk | contribs}~ 04:15, 3 August 2010 (UTC)
hm... Human's Ranged Attack load time is longer than Elf's. But Human ranged aims is faster than Elf's. Perhaps it depend on distance. --Juff 01:40, 3 August 2010 (UTC)
He said already loaded though. o-o --κєνıи тαıĸ«) 03:48, 3 August 2010 (UTC)
Base aim speed (100%) is based on the maximum distance of the bow in question. Short bows and distance reduced crossbows aim slower than range+ elven long bows and ego bows. The difference is small, but noticeable at higher ranks due to the multiplier. As for elves and humans having the same base aim formula, that is widely accepted as true, however there is no evidence. I've notice that my elf at rank F was able to outaim my human, but I didn't have an exact time and I might have been mistaken due to the fast load time. Tellos 18:18, 3 August 2010 (UTC)
