I was following the map, when I realized my pendulum was pointing me to a direction that wasn't on the one Pyro made. Turns out there's an unaccounted for spawn location for the Black Sunlight Herbs that I happened to get. I forgot where the doors are, but this is where I found my herb. I don't know if this is a location that wasn't there when the Saga first released, or if it's always been there and nobody has gotten it before, but either way, it's worth noting that there might be spawn locations that aren't documented.
...The Giant Spring artifact is nowhere near the northeast, according to this map. In fact... there doesn't even seem to be anything in the place of the map marker!
There's an artifact prop right at the northeast that says "Giant Spring" when you hit it. Why the map doesn't list that I'm not sure.

Really, you have to talk to them before entering the mine and searching for the stone? Unless it was changed very very recently, this video proves you don't need to talk with them.
Tested it right now and I can see and 'talk' to the stones and grab their random stuff just fine, didn't need to talk to anyone between Akule and the stone.
Talking to Millia and Krug doesn't do anything other than their usual conversation. So, that line is pointless; can someone delete it?
Can someone put a map of:
- The location of the stone in Shyllien and the path to take.
- The location of the five stone spots in Hillwen.
- The locations of the herb in Ant Hell and the paths to take.
Here we go:

Green Path | Unsafe Shortcut |

Clickable Door | |
Pet Bypassable Door | |
Impassable Door | |
Black Sunlight Herb | |

If I'm either
- Missing a Spawn
- Missing a Door
- Missing an entire path > .>
- Need to fix a geographic error DevCAT made (I already fixed a few)
- Mismarked one of the markers
Or anything else I should do, let me know here.
What's with that "Ignore this"? Is it some inaccessable portal or you don't touch it at all?
It's a portal, it does teleport you somewhere but it only makes your trip back a lot longer if you use it during the mission version where you actually pass by it.
Ah, I see.
I think you should put the legend IN the map then present it a link like how the map thing was done for G13.
I'm not entirely sure what you mean. I did want to put the legend in the map but I don't remember how.
I found another spot at the very bottom left of the map, but I was killed before I got to it...
I found another spot directly south of the south west spot, is that the one you were referring to? Though, I wasn't able to gather much new information. There seemed to be one extra trigger south of that door, and another trigger MUCH later nearer to the herb.
From what I gather, the way I interpreted this is wrong. It's not you walk over an area and a monster spawns, it's more of a radius and getting to close to the epicenter of that circle spawns the monster near you, not necessarily at the spawn or a specific side. I would like to map these circles but I have no methods of mapping these without vigorous, hours worth, of testing provided I can actually walk through walls which is an impossibility. Any ideas? (Also, I accidentally saved over the master copy of my map without one with merged layers so I'll have to guess the transparency to add more spots or need to redo the map. . .)
E6 needs a map for where the statues are in the Shaman village, though I'm not going to be redoing that shit. . . If anyone makes this map, also point out where Akule and his dragon is.
I've done it a few times, I keep getting the same two spots. . . I'll just leave it out until I get it naturally or until somebody else finds it and records where the enemies are to show me. (If you do this, also make sure you take alternate routes to see if there are safer/longer routes.
And I'm still waiting for you to explain what you meant by that. And the map isn't on any page atm.
Generation 13: Hamlet#Unraveling Truth - The map for how Claudius walked was put on a separate link.
Hm how come we still don't have a map for Hillwen and Shyllien?
As a side note, we need a map for Episode 3's Retreat to Vales.
Well Hillwen's map can be made easily, even yourself, since there already is a minimap. Just add File:Statue icon.pngs where you need them, for more map icons look at my userpage. As for Shyllien, why would Shyllien need a map?. . . It's kind of easy to tell where you need to go in E1 and E5 and you don't exactly have to go to multiple spots or checkpoints. Retreat to vales does need a map but I spam E1 so you'll have to find somebody else for that, you could use markers from my userpage or ask me to make some if you need them.
People can kind of get lost. Heck, I got lost in that EP5 RP with the Spy; I thought I had to lure him to where the Stone Yet Not a Stone was. Nope, so then I tried taking him to the portal. Nope, so then I thought I had to take him outside... Wrong place again, so I took him back to the Stone Yet Not a Stone... I kind of rage quitted right there and went foruming for answers QQ
I also got sort of lost in EP1 Shyllien because the page at the time didn't say to go up the ramp.
Tangent here, is the term Ep# or EP# ever used? Or is it just a player made term? I've been saying E# when talking to other players.
Saga button says "EP # - Name"
I need an explanation of how to use a Pet to bypass the Door going South because Giants can't Play Dead like Humans and Elves can. Maybe it only works with certain Mounts or newer ones.
That's an abuse first off, something against the policy set on the wiki. Secondly, it's not even that helpful in the chance that it does spawns in a place where there are multiple doors aside the door one would be able to walk through.
if you have route that goes through the white/blue doors / doors with text, yeah. The doors should be impassable by default. If you have the normal "touch to open" doors, that's fine.
I wasn't asking which ones are, I was asking if I should edit my map to say you cannot enter those doors, rather than saying they are Pet Bypassable Doors.
I found the file a few days ago. I edited it to replace the Pet Bypassable doors with Impassable doors as suggested, then uploaded it to the existing file, then undid the edit on purpose. If you guys still feel like Pet Bypassable doors should not be mentioned and/or you consider it an abusable glitch, then redo the edit. Otherwise I guess you can leave it as is.
Today I did EP1, but the entire battlefield of the first RP took place in the east path of Shadow Taillteann, but the cutscene was still the same and was in Cor.
Is this just me or?
Hm?
Stand next to the door, summon a mount pet, if its on the other side, attempt to mount it. Does not work with sprites, commerce partners, partner mounts, or owls; works with every other mount. An arguable faster method is to stand in the opposite direction and spam fake death.
Give me a reason why not. People, especially those who follow the story, should be well informed of when the cutscenes occur.
Unless you're narrating the cutscene in the same section, I see no point...
What use is knowing when a cutscene occurs?
Oh. I forgot to mention! Did you know, whenever you drink an HP 30 Potion, you recover HP immediately afterwards? How much HP? That's for you to figure out! Don't forget to mention it happens regardless (actually, with one exception: if your HP is full, it won't recover any HP!!!)! I just wanted to let you know something happens after using an HP 30 Potion.
<insert facedesk>
No, I'm saying mentioning when cutscenes occur is useless. It tells you nothing.
If you really want a page dedicated to following the story, bring back that old ass project where the mainstream is narrated.
They're only "nothing" because its the first Episode, its way too early to unveil what anyone's planning; they're only there to give hints. It's no fun if we knew everything before it even began...
Lol...
I'd like to know ahead of time when a cut-scene is going to occur. I can't always read subtitles that fast if I'm not ready.
Kevin, I respect you and all, and I agree with most of what you do, but this sounds like trolling imo.
I find knowing when cutscenes happen useful. It tells me if I have enough time to do the quest in the first place when I'm busy, tells me when not to AFK in case I run off before it starts, and a few other things.
Ya, I'm not voting against it, I'm in favor of saying when cutscenes will occur when doing things like talking to NPCs outside of missions or completing quests. Sometimes you might complete a quest, get a cutscene, but be talking to an NPC when it happens so when the cutscene is done, you can't move and you're stuck unless you manually end the client.exe process.
I was in the conversation with Akule when I hit complete and the cutscene occured, I didn't get stuck but I was kinda frustrated I missed most of what Akule was gonna say.
It seems to me that there are only a few possible spawn locations, and that if it directs you into the bottom right portion of the map, it's located behind two glowing doors that don't work, and therefore cannot be accessed. Reason for this belief is because I got the same spawn twice in a row. I could see the herb when I pressed Alt, from nearby, but the door that you have to go through is inactive.
Second note: It seems if there's a blue door in your way, you can try to turn the camera and click behind the door. If you shout "Open sesame!" you will receive a message saying "The door is already open!" And then by turning the camera, you can click behind the door and walk straight through.
I got this same kinda spawn point twice in a row as well, but I never managed to walk through any of the doors that said this. You don't have to say or do anything specific to get that message either. You can say anything and it will say the door is already open.
You can't click the door itself, but you might be able to click the ground behind it and walk through.
You CAN click it but it doesn't do anything. I thought I tried several times to walk through them though. I may or may not have tried clicking however. I definitely walked using WASD but the door was solid.
Wow, people actually use WASD? Anyway, I don't know, I know it works for at least one of the blue doors. You might have to get right up to the door, before you can walk through it.
Yeah, most of the time, you will be directed else where, but for whatever reason, the southeastern part of the maze is rendered inaccessible without means of glitching through it. As someone who can single-handedly navigate Ant Hell, I find this rather troublesome e-e
Actually, I'm working on a map for this. I find that the monsters always seem to spawn in the same area, and the black sunlight herbs always seem to spawn where a Salamander would be in normal ant hell. I just want a few more runthroughs first, since there are multiple locations, not just the three southward ones. (Like one where you must go north-west of start.) Also, the door thing only applies to south and south-east, not south-west or north-west. For the ones with doors, stand next to the door and summon a mount, try to mount it if its on the other side. If it says its too far, call it too you until he's right next to the doorway.
they dont have advanced heavy stander, phoenix summon knocks em back. as does firebolt.
I've noticed they're resistant to stun though. I used Act 2: Threshold Cutter and it immediately interrupted it, and it didn't ping.
For anyone who's replaying, do the rewards change at any point, and how?
I doubt you get 20 AP each time from a quest chain that can be completed in under 2 hours, but I haven't replayed it yet.
I think they stay the same.
Anyone else crashing when they reach the hillwen mine or black sunlight herb?
Crashes for me whenever I enter Hillwen Mine. I had to finish the quest on my brother's computer, who isn't crashing.
Also crashes when I (supposedly) reach the Black Sunlight Herb spot in the underground maze.
I've tried with a clean, just downloaded client, too.
Turned on "Mini Effects", went through again and didn't crash... I went through it about 10 times now.
Prior to maint, no crash. after maint...I don't know yet. Running it a second time. I WANT THAT KNUCKLE D:
