update LC damage equation

Equation is as followed for max distance possible (Base LC damage % + [lance charge charge dmg lvl x 4] + [ lance charge main target lvl x 2.5] )x(1.2+[0.03 x horse back charge damage lvl)]) x (1+{1400 + (80+[ horse back distance lvl *20] )/1000})

Linear Stun Time

Earlier the details said it was half the 3 sec target stun time, which is 1.5, but the summary says 2, which isn't half. Which one is it?

Distance in Damage Formulas

With all the weirdness of distance in this game, how the hell do you find the number that goes in there?

Infodude575 (talk)10:48, 25 March 2014

Where do we get a lot of numbers. More specifically the hoeing item %. http://wiki.mabinogiworld.com/view/Hoeing I know for ice spear wand and no wand range I just took the numbers we already had and matched em up. Well there are also some skills that say their range. Maybe a certain pickaxe found the numbers.

Meru (talk)12:30, 25 March 2014

I'll dig around.

Lemme guess, JP wiki?

Infodude575 (talk)18:09, 25 March 2014

Ehh couldn't find anything. I'll keep looking though.

The pickaxe digs up the numbers, in-game testing determines what those numbers are for.

Sozen Cratos Focker (talk)15:11, 26 March 2014

Was that a response to me or Meru?

Infodude575 (talk)15:27, 26 March 2014

I know we get numbers from the pickaxe, I didn't know it could get numbers from chickens and flowers.

Meru (talk)15:31, 26 March 2014

ANYWAY lets get back to the point at hand: how do you find the number that goes into the Distance part in the formula?

Infodude575 (talk)18:23, 26 March 2014

JP wiki has the same formula we do

That's not answering the question...

Infodude575 (talk)18:26, 26 March 2014

oops, I misread that...Umm, you'd have to use a lot of estimation :s it's not like there's stuff you can do without modifications to actually find it.

What I'm concerned is if it uses single digits (1 meter) or hundred digits (1 meter = 100)...

Infodude575 (talk)18:32, 26 March 2014

On this wiki, "Distance" is what we called the game's base unit before we confirmed it was cm.

Sozen Cratos Focker (talk)18:48, 26 March 2014

"Attacks enemies at a wider range to the left and right."

How much of an increase we're talking?

まそっぷ ! (talk)01:09, 18 September 2013

blegh...I'll find out when I master it.

まそっぷ ! (talk)11:29, 18 September 2013

looks like an additional 100 width...

624k Damage?!

WTF?! HOW?!

Infodude575 (talk)10:50, 22 March 2013

Well it looks like the person is using one of his friends to activate a Combo Card, then there's Battlefield Overture, Mastered Support Shot,DK Trans, some Demi-God Artifacts I assume, Lance with Elemental/Lance Charge Damage Reforge, Lance Charge Damage Gloves, Lance Charge Distance Boots, and probably fire elements (the snake is an ice Element)

I don't know how much max damage you'd need and what the exact multipliers would do, though.

LittlesnowEU (talk)15:05, 22 March 2013

What about mount bonus? The guy's got Sprite Wings on.

Infodude575 (talk)15:22, 22 March 2013

Wouldn't that still count as being on foot? I don't think a Sprite gives a big bonus other than a few points of Max Damage depending on it's age...

LittlesnowEU (talk)15:24, 22 March 2013

I have no idea...

Infodude575 (talk)15:30, 22 March 2013

lol that's ridiculous. Imagine how much he would hit if he was on horseback. He probably has capped str (1500) in trans + demi as well as +6 lance...and not to mention crazy reforges. That along with support shot master and battlefield overture master, etc. Still shouldn't THAT much damage to be honest. Strange things a foot.

DANTE20XX (talk)20:30, 23 March 2013

I still think that Sprite had something to do with it...

Infodude575 (talk)21:13, 23 March 2013

The sprite just adds def/prot on mounting the player. the damage is most likely from r1 reforges, the bonus from a critical hit. support shot, piercing complete maximum piercing enchants, trans and the crit from the step 6 upgrades. It's weird though...hardly anyone uses a sprite.

S•A•R•I•A (talk)21:36, 23 March 2013

You forgot Combo Card.

Infodude575 (talk)21:42, 23 March 2013

Maximum Elemental Reforge is actually 2x elemental. He's also probably got Lance Charge Damage, Lance Mastery Max Damage, Combat Mastery Max Damage, and a ton of Max Damage Reforge. Throw in a max level overture and a master support shot and Bone Dragon Chip along with a combo card and you've got yourself a bonus damage multiplier that is over 10x.

At 1500 STR, and with a weapon max of 130(+20 +18) you can technically hit well over 11k crit with Lance charge with no enchants or reforges.

Tellos (talk)21:59, 23 March 2013

You can hit well over 11k yeah, but with the enchants and reforges would that REALLY push it to 624k? No, I don't really think so. 24k, sure, seems pretty possible. 62k? Yeah...maybe. But 624k? No, too high that it seems unreasonable - especially since he was not mounted.

  • shrugs*
DANTE20XX (talk)02:45, 24 March 2013

Then you don't understand compounding.

Tellos (talk)08:34, 24 March 2013

How exactly does one get 1.5k Str without Enchants or Reforges?

Infodude575 (talk)22:08, 23 March 2013

By being a giant, capping out on STR skills, and leveling to over 200, then using food to fill in the tiny bit missing? KR has over 100 more STR available than we do.

Tellos (talk)22:10, 23 March 2013

A bit of a late reply to this thread, but I just did a bit of research on the Sprite, and I think the results are self-explanatory. [Here]

LittlesnowEU (talk)18:14, 30 March 2013

But does it also let you charge farther? That's where a big part of the lance charge's damage comes from - the farther away you are from the target monster(s) the more damage it does...and mounts increase that distance.

DANTE20XX (talk)15:55, 31 March 2013

Judging from the distance, it looks like it hit at minimum distance require for usage.

S•A•R•I•A (talk)16:12, 31 March 2013

...you can't tell that from a still picture. The distance in the screenshot is only the normal knockback distance an enemy moves when you hit them with lance charge The distance right there is way below the minimum you can use lance charge.

DANTE20XX (talk)16:21, 31 March 2013

Don't forget, you knock them back after hitting. It looks like they are in the air. The video though, appears minimum distance.

S•A•R•I•A (talk)16:24, 31 March 2013

The video, yes, you can tell the distance. However, if you had looked, I wasn't talking about that at all. I replied specifically to Littlesnow asking if the sprite increased the distance as a normal mount did.

DANTE20XX (talk)16:34, 31 March 2013

And dammit, you're still horribly wrong. The video of the korean person using lance charge was certainly NOT at the minimum distance :/

DANTE20XX (talk)16:36, 31 March 2013

I'm not exactly able to say much about my distance, I have rank E Lance Charge and even if there was a difference in distance, I didn't notice it.

Then again, 200 Distance isn't very noticeable to begin with.

LittlesnowEU (talk)16:43, 31 March 2013

It's 400 different if you're mounted or not. Since I don't have the a sprite, I asked you :)

It's easy to tell if it gives the full mounted bonus by loading lance charge w/o the pet, trying to get at the max distance you can use the skill...then letting the pet mount you and see if the distance is increased.

DANTE20XX (talk)22:17, 31 March 2013

I'll take a look at it if I ever get the chance to, maintenance is on its way to the 16th hour.

LittlesnowEU (talk)00:14, 1 April 2013

Ehh I was looking at something else when I said the video was at minimum distance lol x.x;;

S•A•R•I•A (talk)16:47, 31 March 2013

What the hell? Sprites add additional damage? Didn't know that O-o...

S•A•R•I•A (talk)18:16, 30 March 2013

I assume it's because they count as being mounted, but sprites have the benefit of allowing other skills too, that must be why the Koreans use them with Lance Charge.

LittlesnowEU (talk)18:51, 30 March 2013

Great, now can someone test for the owls?

Infodude575 (talk)20:30, 30 March 2013

They use "Rest", not mount.

And they are un-"rested" once you attack, iirc.

Doesn't hurt to test.

Infodude575 (talk)08:41, 31 March 2013

Surprise, surprise, I finally took the time to test these. It appears that the Sprite does affect the maximum distance.

Lance Charge Sprite Distance Difference.png

As for testing Owls, I actually got the same result, they also increase the distance, apparently.

Lance Charge Owl Distance Difference.png

So it indeed didn't hurt to test!

LittlesnowEU (talk)23:25, 2 April 2013

Did it allow you to launch the attack with the owl?

Yes it did, and it definitely increased my damage as well.

LittlesnowEU (talk)23:37, 2 April 2013

lol what thell...this doesn't even deserve the whole 2 words. Now getting sprites is encouraged for maximum lance potential.

S•A•R•I•A (talk)23:28, 2 April 2013

Yeah, pretty much since you don't have to unmount the pet or anything to use every other skill :x

DANTE20XX (talk)07:14, 3 April 2013

Sprites and Owls, when "mounted" on the player counts as being mounted. It adds to the benefits that you can normal attack and do lance charge normally.

The only thing to watch out for is being knocked back and down with the owl/sprite, but pressing the mount key helps with that.

Miyuna (talk)08:42, 3 April 2013

Now what about Commerce Partners? I guess they don't allow for any attacks unlike Sprites?

钟国豪-BIassreiter (talk)08:55, 3 April 2013

You can't attack nor LC with CPs. I'm pretty sure Giants w/ Humans can't either.

Infodude575 (talk)09:18, 3 April 2013

Yeah, Giant w/Humans is a given since Giants can't do anything except summon pets and move around with a Human on them. Was just wondering if CPs worked because they seem to act similar to a Sprite Pet, but my question is answered already.

Heavy Stander in Charge Path?

I'm aware of Heavy Stander's impact point. I want to know if it will work regularly if hit in the Charge's path.

Infodude57520:28, 9 June 2011

I tested Lance Charging though a group of zombies and there was no major consciousnesses as far as the side targets went. Enemies with Counterattack loaded on the other hand will knock you on the flat of your back, even if the Counter is from not from the main target. (can you say 'ouch'?)

Allowed Mounts

\#mabinogi says Tigers and Dragons can't be used as Lance Charge mounts. Someone test and clarify allowed Chargeable mounts?

Chen08:16, 29 April 2011

Tigers cannot be used as Lance Charge Mounts; :[ I just tested this right now.

SoraHikari05:24, 30 April 2011

Horse and horse-like only. If you hold the lance upright in normal mode on a mount, you can lance charge on it.

I'm ranking lance charge right now, and I have rank 8. I could help fill in the blanks as to what you have to do to train this skill, but I don't know how to do it. Can anyone help?
