Robes Preview | 7 | 15:55, 14 May 2014 |
Isn't it a problem that this template uses #arraydefine:string and #arraysearch:string? I seem to recall this being an issue involving the terms of use.
On topic, it seems that all you need is a conditional to check for robes because robes have hoods. The picture names include an indicator of hood up/down. On a matter of care, all wings are technically robes (robe slot) but do not have hoods.
In the instance of the Gamyu, there is a page redirect from "Gamyu Wizard Robe Armor (F) Equipped Front.png" to "Gamyu Wizard Robe Armor (F) Equipped Front Hood Up.png" which is why the Gamyu has a mouseover image.
Several other items which may be worn by male or female (and have distinctly named pictures) are also unlinked for a similar reason as the robes EDIT: as above, the helms with visors also have a filename distinction for visor up or down
Why would the string functions be a problem? I don't recall them ever having been a problem.
Other than that, yes, conditional checks need to be added to equipment with different file name standards.
My recollection is that they were related to reading off information from the game's files. Of course, I also don't know anything about the structure of a wiki so it's not like I can really tell what those things are reading.
The only thing being read off as far as the image is concerned is the name of the item, besides that we have a specific format for item preview templates on item pages.
A regular piece of equipment like Akule's Outfit is named like:
File:Akule's Outfit Equipped Front.png
Wheras robes are named like:
File:Mysterious Robe Equipped Male Front Hood Up.png
and
File:Mysterious Robe Equipped Male Front Hood Down.png
Unisex equipment are named like:
File:Karis Wizard Suit Equipped Male Front.png
and
File:Karis Wizard Suit Equipped Female Front.png
The point is that items that do not end in Equipment_Front do not get previews in list because the template we made for them doesn't address those kind of alternatively named images yet.
Same goes for any page that uses a file with a different name.
