Can you let me do my edit please. I'm just being more specific other than ? --Voichi 08:28, 8 March 2009 (UTC)

Well that's true about the defense part, but level 3 Heavy stander is defined by melee hitting 1, not by the ammount of times it flashes. if you list it as 2, it will make people think they are like zombies, and they can be hurt slightly by melee. You may re-edit the defense to ? , but please don't change anything else.--Voichi 08:36, 8 March 2009 (UTC)

100% Protection means you can't score a critical hit.Protection affects your critical hit rate by subtracting the protection rate from your critical rate. Therefor, if it has 100% protection , and you have 100% crit, you subtract 100% from 100% to come up with 0, making it impossible to critical. Advanced heavy stander matter is true, I'm propably going to make a page on that sometime soon.

I finished making a page on Advanced heavy stander, and fixing all the redirect links, everything. Just letting you know that. You may be right about protection, but the reason that all attacks deal 1 is because it has level 3 passives, which make everything deal 1. and if you read the Heavy stander page you should see that Lv 3 heavy stander doesn't activate every single time, only about 90%. It doesn't have level 2 passives because if it did it'd be possible to deal damage with melee at high levels.

O, good point on scarecrow. I'll fix a link right away.

Nevermind, there isn't a page on the scarecrow. Too bad =/ If I had a picture I'd make one.

That's not the point I'm trying to make. I am trying to say it still has level 3 heavy stander anyways because level 3 heavy stander doesn't flash all of the time like Mana refractor and Natural shield. I know that the Defense could be 0, but a wiki editor who didnt have the equation would think it was something else, so that is why I listed it as ? or infinite, to appeal to the common reader.

Lol, i kept trying to update Q/A but you kept editing right before me so i kept adapting then you changed it again. XD -- Ember Incubus

Is that Dungeon Figher thingy a joke? I highly doubt its validity, this is the most used wiki on the server. --Fruitrecruit

New Monster Info Box thingy

I noticed you were changing the one for Incubus, so are you going to change them all like that ~ Hikarixz

NEVER! That's my job >:O! --Kevin (•Talk•) 06:27, 7 April 2009 (UTC)

LOL then you better hurry Kevin before someone changes all of them, I just add drops,cp and a couple of images so I shouldn't be in competition :P ~ Hikarixz

Bow range and etc

Not all of the things have the same range, as an example, Bone Atlatl was listed at 1800, when it isn't equal to an LLB, adding 200 to everything doesn't fix it when everything isn't +200, however, I'll get to adding the real ranges as soon as I can. I'm not sure what you mean by the "new" format though. Retalia 03:47, 27 April 2009 (UTC)

Hm, from what I can read in Itemdb.xml, I'll check skillinfo.xml too incase of different ranges

DK Tame Changes

Henhsheng, do you wanna elaborate on the taming success rate? Cause you sort of threw me off with your new chart o.O --Kaillera 22:20, 28 April 2009 (UTC)

How did you concluded Var1 is additional tame rate % and where did the animal training came in o.O? Sorry for asking too much, but it really does make things abit more mysterious.
Resolved, Var1 has nothing to do with the success rate.

You did a pretty good job redecorating :D --Kaillera 22:06, 29 April 2009 (UTC)

Reply to Mining Success Rates

Hengsheng, I am well aware that my current tests are far too low to have conclusive numbers. I have written both in the discussion section of the gathering page and the footnote linking back to my page that research is still ongoing. The numbers are working numbers only, and I am absolutely still continuing research. I also stated, "Thank you for your patience" in said discussion. I have bothered to upload my numbers because they fit my own experiences far more accurately than the previously posted numbers; silver is in my mind beyond a doubt more common than gold. I am continuing research to actually /prove/ the new differences. Thank you for expressing concern in my data, but as I have stated in several places (including my user page, which you read), that my results are not final; I am conducting more and more tests. --Armisael 06:50, 30 April 2009 (UTC)

Korean Text

I can't read korean. I'm getting this from the game files. I'm using this until it's released and we get the official translation. --Kevin Talk«) 07:11, 6 May 2009 (UTC)

>w>

Cause if you move the ToC, that destroys the points of having the contents there in the first place.

Your issue with scrolling down is what the "Hide" link is for.

EDIT: Also, in the case for pages with pictures, the contents force the page style into an awkward and inconsistent pattern. Easier for readers if each page holds some consistency. It's tragic for those who don't see the "hide" button, but they're the ones whose don't feel like clicking a link in the Table of Contents also.

--Junan

Actually, I'm pretty sure at least Ikkisuki didn't like the change. When you're doing something like this, you might want to start a discussion on a talk page or in the forum. Myself, I'm ambivalent, but I'd like to let otehr have their say before we make a decision on it. ---Angevon 03:36, 2 June 2009 (UTC)

What you're doing it messing...

What you're doing is separating these page formats from others.

The pictures don't have to be moved if you left it alone. People who are distressed to press the hide button, or scroll down are just lazy, to accommodate them is unreasonable. The ToC is MADE so you don't need to click down. You just press the section you want; if that's not enough, there's the page-down and end-buttons, which reduce your moment to a twitch of the finger.

Why do you think all wiki pages are like that? It's made for long pages where you have to click. It's also easier for a majority of computer users to read from the LEFT. As to the nature reading Left-To-Right style.

All you're doing is frustrating the uncountable amount of people who are accustomed to the page-format; adding another drop of unnecessary stress and annoyance to everyone's lives.

Junan 22:55, 2 June 2009 (UTC)

Then your changes are your opinions also.

If mine is my opinion, then your view is merely an opinion.

Based on that, you MUST leave the pages in their original format. So don't try screwing with me.

I'm fully aware it's an opinion. I'm also fully away that the unacountable people DO have normal stresses, and such changes make small contributions to said stress. That's NORMAL everyday life. The subtle feelings of the masses can be sorted out with basic common sense, and a little public knowledge.

It's a fact that humans (and all organisms) adapt based on what they're faced with over each generation. I also know people are almost GENETICALLY adapted to reading left-to-right now, you know why? Cause everything's been SET that way for that last few thousand years!! It's all natural, people are accustomed to it. There's public knowledge for ya.

It is impossible for you to have considered the opinions of others either, that is why I put it back to its ORIGINAL format, something that was already there. I technically made no change, I reversed the change, because it was uncalled for.

The tone you're using is just a natural instinctive reaction to online faceless responses. It proves nothing for the changes you wished to do.

Saying it's an opinion makes your actions meaningless as well. =w=

TOC tags

Hi, there.

I've been watching the goings-on concerning the TOC tags as well as the exchanges between you and the wiki staff and user Junan.

You have made changes that were really not wanted. However, Junan is not in a position to make this request, let alone enforce it. Cyrus, Powder Rune and I are dealing with Junan; his conduct was uncalled for.

The wiki administrators, who are in a position to make this request, have told you not to do this.

Now, I, the server owner, am asking you to stop.

I can understand what you mean to do, but there's a style that's been set forth by the wiki staff. They want you to follow it. If you have an honest difference of opinion, if you have not done so already, please create an account on the main M-World site and post a thread to the wiki discussion area of the site and air your misgivings there. Please do not make fundamental changes to the site's content until and unless you have completely discussed and received approval from the wiki moderators.

Please follow the moderators' wishes or at the very least, air your thoughts on the matter on the forums, not here.

Thank you for understanding.

--Irjustman 06:18, 4 June 2009 (UTC)

UPDATE: I blocked Junan, but do NOT take this as license to continue what you've been doing. Please leave the templates alone per the wishes of the editorial staff. Thank you. --Irjustman 02:54, 5 June 2009 (UTC)

Do not make changes to core wiki pages

While we appreciate contributions, modifications to the site's main information pages maintained by staff and site administration by normal users is not wanted. I cannot deal with the situation properly as I am using my Treo to enter this. In the meantime, until I get home, I have locked your account and am writing this. I will have staff go over your other work to make sure your work remains consistent with the desired style. --Irjustman 23:58, 8 June 2009 (UTC)

Just curious, what user would have any use (or business for that matter) knowing about who has "CheckUser" capabilities? Also, the Administration page already gives a rundown of who can do what on the wiki. We don't need the Bots page to begin with. If we need it, we'll create it.
At this point, please leave the Mabinogi_World_Wiki:* and other important namespaces alone. If you have questions or comments, either use the talk pages within that namespace or, better still, the forums. Any new pages will be deleted the moment they're discovered and your account locked for longer until you give us your word that you won't mess with this and other important namespaces again on the forums.
Basically, the message is that when it comes to editing or creating pages in Mabinogi World Wiki:, just because you can doesn't mean you should. --Irjustman 01:12, 9 June 2009 (UTC)

Re:Category: NPC Equipment?

I think that's a good idea, so long as people don't confuse "NPC Equipment" for equipment that NPCs sell. =P One of the girls in the Residential Towns has boots that I haven't seen elsewhere in-game, and Ruairi's armor is exclusive to him only. Mari's Archeress School Wear can't be worn by players either, yet. As for the category... Should we stick with "NPC Equipment" for the name? --Aramet 16:25, 12 June 2009 (UTC)

Okay. --Aramet 21:56, 14 June 2009 (UTC)

Re:Power Mushroom

I haven't been on Mabinogi in two weeks, let alone seen the event in-game, so I don't have anything to say about that. I may get on later or observe what happens when my sister gets on. But even Nexon's page about the event says you must kill Gremlins for the Power Mushrooms. I quote:

"How are you supposed to defeat ogres if you have all the stopping power of a tissue? Never fear! Slay those pesky gremlins for magic mushrooms, which, when eaten, will increase your size more than ten-fold, dwarfing even the monstrous ogres wandering the dreamscape!"

Did you see it just appear/drop on the ground when you turned your screen? --Aramet 21:56, 14 June 2009 (UTC)

I saw it just 'appear' out of nowhere. I've never actually seen it drop. --Kevin Talk«) 22:01, 14 June 2009 (UTC)
I've been in the Dream Land for half an hour now, and so far I've seen three Power Mushrooms drop from Gremlins. --Aramet 23:15, 14 June 2009 (UTC)

Hey, I stumbled upon the Stomp Image and noticed that the images were different. The older one was more...'pixelized'..? I was wondering how you managed to get that. --Kevin Talk«) 18:38, 12 June 2009 (UTC)

Spinning Wheel

I've called tools at specific locations "Public Tools" and those that can be used in a house as "In-House Tools", so can we change 'Spinning Wheel (Tool)" to either "Spinning Wheel (Public Tool)" or "Spinning Wheel (Public)" and change "Spinning Wheel (Item)" to either "Spinning Wheel (In-House Tool)" or "Spinning Wheel (In-House)". I admit my earlier use of "TOOL Spinning Wheel" was not brilliant but it was what the game was using and also it was using only "Spinning Wheel" for the In-House version. Using 'Spinning Wheel (Tool)" seems a bit too general and "Spinning Wheel (Item)" seems vague. If you really hate my ideas then leave it as it is. Whatever you decide will be what I'll use in the "Production Tools List" page. --ZRoc 01:38, 17 June 2009 (UTC)

Thank you. I'll use "Spinning Wheel (Public)" and "Spinning Wheel (In-House)" XD --ZRoc 02:03, 17 June 2009 (UTC)

Wooden and Antique Mimics

Wooden and Antique Mimic pets aren't out yet, so I'm assuming we should keep the future content tags in place. --Aramet 21:21, 18 June 2009 (UTC)

Dye

I have a dye program that magnifies pixels and give the exact color values in RGB (red, green, blue). I did a test with fixed dyes, and the color result most closely matched the RBG values of the pixels that I indicated. (results taken from item's inventory color, with the same dye program, with attention to RGB ratios as well as their actual values) -- Ladywinter 07:36, 22 June 2009 (UTC)

I cannot access the pages you've linked me to on the Realblack website, so I cannot read them at the moment. However, I managed to download their dye program that magnifies areas and give RGB values for individual pixels that you mouse over. Using this program, using colored fixed dyes (not just white) I did tests where I compared the finished dyed item to the prior dye ampoule (of which I'd measured several points of color all around the dye and written it down). The actual color and color balance of the fixed dye was found, to my surprise, NOT where the RealBlack website states, even though that was what I'd told people too prior to my actual testing the dyes. I cannot say as to the client's color values as I don't know how to look for them. A note: I don't know how the client assigns color values to different fabrics/patterns. Certain colors look different depending on what you dye, a tiara for instance makes everything whiter, whereas the waist portion of the Xiao-Lung Juen's Formal Suit (F) makes everything more grey. The color/colorbalance that consistently delivered the true color is on the side of the dye, plus two pixels. -- Ladywinter 22:37, 22 June 2009 (UTC)

Magic Fusion

I was fixing the part where "The fusion had to end exactly at the same time" and got carried away haha... And testing it out while lagging wasent helping either i suppose. Thanks for the correction. Dice 22:50, 22 June 2009 (UTC)

Re: "Hexagon" Dice

If we are keeping the definitions as they are given in the game then I'd leave it as it is (perhapes add a note under the in-game description pointing out the error). If we are correcting their mistakes in grammar then by all means change it. I don't actually know which we are doing. Believing we were adding the game's descriptions as they are given I then thought someone had changed it by mistake. Sorry, I should have checked the History tab and asked why. Also, until you pointed it out I didn't even see the mistake. How dumb am I?. --ZRoc 02:20, 23 June 2009 (UTC)

CP Picture

Could you maybe make the text on your picture a little bigger? It's kind of hard for me to read. I put it on the main page anyway. It is better; it doesn't look flamboyantly-colored like mine did haha. ---Angevon 18:21, 25 June 2009 (UTC)

Re: Request Working <Math></Math> tag

Hi.

Apparently, I was missing some important software to make this work. I have since rectified that, though you need to let me know whether this works or not.

Thanks. --Irjustman 10:28, 3 July 2009 (UTC)

And apparently, I needed to build something within the MediaWiki distribution, texvc. I built it on a box at home because I do not want X cluttering up my colo and since it does not have--or need--a GUI. Give it a go and let me know how things work. Thanks. --Irjustman 18:14, 4 July 2009 (UTC)

Re: Screenshot

Seeing how you already changed it to Tarlach (NPC) and Tarlach (G1), I don't see the reason for telling me off. It's already fixed. I don't really understand the difference between the "G1" Tarlach and the "NPC" Tarlach. I don't use mods just to see if Tarlach is wearing newbie wear or not. >.< It's fixed. Nothing more. .-.

Kite Shields and Elf Speed

Is there any specific kind of Kite Shield your Elf is wielding? Several times I've tried running beside a human with a Kite Shield equipped and it ran the same speed as it normally would. Would it be anything else you're wielding? Or maybe a group of heavy items on an elf? --Aramet 02:15, 10 July 2009 (UTC)

When my elf actively equips a Kite Shield, it slows down dramatically, to human speed. It does not slow down when on inactive slot. That's all I know know. It's wearing clothes, no accessories, no weapons.--恒升  评论  02:39, 10 July 2009 (UTC)

Intelligence Damage Formula

Your previous edit to the Intelligence damage formula, updated for G7, was incorrect until I edited it about an hour ago or so. The new damage formula for Intelligence has not been implemented as of the most recent G7 update (7/23/09).

My IGN is Trigger of Ruairi, and you may have heard of me as NA Mabi's foremost mage. Not trying to brag, just saying I knew what I was doing when I changed the damage formula.

With over 600 Intelligence currently, I have not experienced any increase in my damage output whatsoever since the G7 patch. My bolts still do exactly the same damage they used to, as do my advanced spells (all of which are mastered by the way). The only people who have remarked to me that they felt a slight damage increase have been people with relatively low Int/Dex -- the people who did not have 100% magic balance.

What did change immediately with G7 was the formula for magic balance, which now no longer depends on Dex at all, but is entirely based on Int. I would appreciate it if someone could locate the exact new formula for balance and replace the old formula with the new. The damage formula, though, sadly, has not yet been altered. I am looking for it in a future G7 update, as it was released late in G7 (specifically G7S4) overseas.

Beginner and Basic Part-Time Jobs

Does what you said on the Q&A page (for Random's little poll), mean that the initial group of part-time jobs done for NPCs should be called "Basic" because the "Beginner" part-time jobs is already used for the quests you linked to? If the game doesn't actually call them "Beginner" then I have no problem using "Basic" for the initial group of part-time jobs. It actually fits better with "Intermediate" and "Advanced". --ZRoc (Talk) 18:27, 31 August 2009 (UTC)
