- Old Furnaces are production tools used to refine ores into metal ingots and plates, which are used as materials in blacksmithing, tailoring and handicraft.
- They are public tools with fixed locations, like most NPCs.
- Old Furnaces have a reduced refining success rate (-5%) as compared to using regular Furnaces.
- Old Furnaces only exist in Vales. To start using it, talk to Taunes with Firewood in your inventory.
- 1 Firewood is required for 1 minute of use, and 5 are required for five minutes of use.
- After activating the furnaces, a player can start refining by clicking on one.
- A player must not have anything equipped in their right hand.
- Any player can use them once they are activated.
- The refining success rate is dependent on a player's refining rank and dexterity.
- There is a 5% decrease in the success rate when using Old Furnaces compared to using the regular furnaces in Bangor.
- Using higher grade firewood decreases the success rate beyond 5%.
