Color variants

Is it possible to smith weapons and armor to a color other than the typical grayscale/metal palette?--§ýkÌ☼ 00:27, 10 November 2010 (PST)

Yes it is, you just have to finish the item with a silver, copper or gold ingot, and the end product will have that color. Pantakeea 17:54, 30 November 2010 (PST)

Minigame

Eh, I'm pretty sure the info on the finishing minigame is wrong. I've been smithing for over a year now, and the closer you are to the center of the two colours, the better it is, not the closer to the edge. --Fracture

One way or another the minigame debate has been taken to the minigame page, redundancies merged, and redrafted in general. I also performed some minor cleanup. --06:51, 6 July 2009 (UTC)

Anvil Locations

Is there at least one anvil in Vales by Taunes? I am pretty sure that there is one. --Caellian 23:49, 14 August 2009 (UTC)

Confirmed it myself. There are anvils in Vales. --Caellian 02:11, 15 August 2009 (UTC)

Personalizing

I doubt it depends on the blacksmith rank, but more on the quality of the product, though I could be wrong, but at what rank/quality does the item have to be created at, or above, so that the creater's name appears on the product? Like, could someone at rank F make something that has their name on it "Crafter Rank Rank F _____'s work"? (lol at nexon's fail translation)--♫ѕταя♪ταιқ♪ 11:33, 25 September 2009 (UTC)

Not sure, i think it starts at rank 5.--Deathslash37 15:53, 25 October 2009 (UTC)
Has anyone figured out what the minimum rank/quality is for signed items?--Thi avatar 17:51, 24 December 2009 (UTC)
Can anyone confirm the recent change stating that signing finished starts at rank 8?--Thi avatar 04:53, 5 January 2010 (UTC)
Yup, Signing now starts at rank 8. --Sampapa 01:19, 12 January 2010 (UTC)
Why does it say rank 9 now? I've never seen rank 9 signatured items, but I do have several rank 8 items bearing my own signature. Skynet 09:01, 12 January 2010 (UTC)
i am a r1 smith from tarlach and my first signing was at rank f on a pickaxe, signs are more frequent at rank 8 and beyond, however they are posible at rank f.Repntojesus 11:49, 11 June 2010(UTC)

Repairing

The next update should be that we are able to fix our own weapons and armor depending on our blacksmithing rank just like how it says in the description. -Vaida678

Nexon should actually do what they say in the descriptions--Deathslash37 15:53, 25 October 2009 (UTC)

Rank vs Radius

Does the rank of Blacksmithing affect the randomized radius of where the dot will land? --κєνıи тαıĸ«) 11:35, 18 October 2009 (UTC)

No, its always random.--Deathslash37 15:51, 25 October 2009 (UTC)

Shields at rank e?

Do u really have to make shields to rank up from rank e or is that incorrect?--Deathslash37 14:38, 24 October 2009 (UTC)

It's correct. Beepuke 05:58, 4 November 2009 (UTC)

Stat effect

Is there a stat that effects the success rate other then the blacksmith lvl?--Jkeggereis 00:45, 28 February 2010 (UTC)

Production Mastery and Dex will increase success rates. --Δκυmσ - ταłκ 00:32, 4 March 2010 (UTC)

Actually, Dex does NOT increase the success rank of Blacksmithing. Success rate is based on your Production Mastery rank, Blacksmithing rank, and the rank of the item you are attempting to create.--Th3Evil5Ponge 03:25, 24 April 2010 (UTC)

Skill Rank Bonus - Dan Ranks

Apparently the Dan ranks of Blacksmithing now give an increase in the Rank bonus.
I'm talking about that bonus that starts at rank 5 "Rank Bonus: Balance of tools, weapons +1".

Where should this be noted?
Usually it was in the "Effects" section of that particular rank's training info, but...
Is it worth copying and pasting rank 1's training over and over just to have a space to put this info?

Iyasenu (talk)18:04, 25 August 2017

Maybe add the ranks for the Dans but without the skill training table, so it just has the header showing the bonus and the rank name / AP cost. That way the info is still clear without repeating the training 3 times.

Where can I find how you get a higher quality in Blacksmithing and what stats different qualities add? I can't find it here or on the minigame page. If it's not on the wiki yet, can somebody add it?

Pyro - (Talk)23:54, 4 June 2012

The goal is to hit the X as accurately as possible and as CLOSE as to a full bar without going over per hit, in the order that they stop moving.

Blacksmithing

Ah thanks, was looking for that second link. Would it be okay if I add it to the Blacksmithing page?

Pyro - (Talk)00:08, 5 June 2012

It might as well be on the page as a quick reference...

Misinformation.

Rank 9 XXXXs Work.

A Signature can appear at rank 9. I was wondering who stated in Details that Rank 8 is required?

The Paladin Slayer18:45, 15 January 2012

Mini-game woes.

I've noticed that the best results (centered hits) come not from hitting the bar at the fullest possible amount, but from clicking between the green bar "limits" (I.E. half-full green bar). I don't know if I'm making myself clear enough, english is not my native language. Anyway, if anyone can help me test this theory, feel free to do so.

Vladeremis22:24, 11 October 2011

I once heard that there are two times where it's best, when it hits green and when it's full.

I've tried those, but my "hit" never lands in the middle (I always position my cursor exactly where it should be), always to one side or the other. Still, I'll be experimenting on my own.

Vladeremis17:14, 12 October 2011

Because it's random based on your blacksmithing rank.

If the hits were to be exactly where you clicked it. You would be making X-Graded items left and right.

Aubog00717:24, 12 October 2011

No, no. What I meant is, that when I try the points mentioned by Ikkisuki/Kevin, I never get a good hit. But when I try exactly between those points, my hit will almost always land in the middle/very close to it. Still, as I said, it's just a theory, so it needs to be checked.

Vladeremis17:28, 12 October 2011

it's coincidence. Smithing's been around for 7 years on KR.

Would have said something if that was the case.

Aubog00717:42, 12 October 2011

Mini-game on page?

Tailoring has the mini-game listed on the page and is about the same size as the blacksmithing mini-game. Should it also be placed on this page? Or maybe the tailoring mini-game should also be a link instead of on the page, for the sake of consistency.

Health20:46, 19 September 2011

Although all the mini games area currently held on the Skill Minigame page, I think it would be more appropriate to actually move the minigames onto the appropriate skill pages.

At what ranks can you make armor and weapons silver/gold

is it a specific rank, or can you only make them that color once you are able to make their respective ingots?

You just put the ingot in with the finishing materials.

Tellos16:27, 12 January 2011

thats not true, at my current rank, when i click the drop down menu, all tahts there is the regular stuff, and the regular stuff plus copper

In case anyone wonders the same thing... You need to scroll down on that small drop-menu to see the options for gold and silver finishes.
