Talk:Food Effects (Short Term)

From Mabinogi World Wiki

duration of effects

How long does an effect last? 1000Sunny 18:49, 6 June 2009 (UTC)

effects stack

If one eats two different foods, does the effect stack or does one effect cancle out the previous effect? 1000Sunny 18:53, 6 June 2009 (UTC)

The effect of the last food you ate will cancel the previous food effect. Ex - I drank a vales fire and then an apple juice and afterwards had only the full effect of the apple juice. However you can eat a non-effect food (like a berry or cheese) without losing the food effect.

Is this on a per-food or per-stat basis? For example, suppose I ate a food with +30 HP and +12 INT, followed by a food with +22 HP and +25 INT. Would my bonuses then be +30/+25 or +22/+25? Basically, can I eat different foods with high bonuses to different stats to accumulate the best bonuses of each? Domirade [Tarlach] 13:27, 6 April 2011 (UTC)

other stats

Can someone list the best for hp, mp, and sp?

Can someone add to the list the best foods for -Stats?SoraHikari 19:17, 28 November 2010 (PST)

Suggestion

Consider replacing this page with https://wiki.mabinogiworld.com/view/Food_Status_Effect_List as it is simpler to maintain and easier to look through.

I would be in favor of this; it's much easier to search though, which is the main reason they would access this page.

Adding a "Yes or No" Cater Box

Hello,

I have noticed that the wiki has information regarding the NPC Resell Value, Method of Cooking, etc. However, There seems to not be a section on whether the dish can be catered or not. As some ingredients or dishes can not be catered. Would there be a possibility of this being implemented to the wiki, or would there be a reason for not doing so?

I am both suggesting and curious as to the reason why the wiki should or should not implement it. Hope to hear back from someone soon!

Catering has two requirements:

  • The food has a stack limit of 1 (cannot stack).
  • The food must have stats.

And correct me if I'm wrong but these requirements apply to every food. Given that, finding which foods are available for catering is pretty much a no-brainer.

Infodude575 (talk)10:28, 19 February 2015

The old Gacha Foods (And Event Foods) Don't work yet they fulfill both requirement, we had food items we can make but can't be catered even if they with the requirements.

... Well that's just bull... :/

Infodude575 (talk)11:12, 19 February 2015

You would be talking about the dishes made with Bluefin Tuna, Capelin, and Silk Snapper, yes? (Wonder if you can cater the dragon foods...) Either way, maybe just put a note on the page of each dish that isn't caterable instead of changing the stats table o3o

Elide (talk)12:26, 19 February 2015

Changing stats table would me changing every food item template, which is way too much work. And yes those are what I was referring too, for your knowledge, Dragon Food is Caterable. Shoulda saved the screenshot after I did a few #Opened 400 Black Dragon Scrolls so had plenty of flesh.

Tanino (talk)12:51, 19 February 2015

Thanks for the reply everyone.

I was aware that catering had the requirements, however, I was uncertain if the foods that are not able to be catered are features, or as others are implying on this thread "not yet implemented."

At any rate, it makes sense to not create an extension to the table.

Again, thank you everyone for the reply. Much appreciated.

Vales Fire box is messed up

Don't know how to fix it :X

Kgptzac (talk)01:43, 11 January 2013

Thanks for bringing it up. Would never have noticed otherwise.

Fixed the actual problem, but not going to bother reverting the food templates. Doesn't make any visual difference for now, so I'll just do to it when I do foods.
