Gun Ballet...? | 13 | 12:56, 22 May 2013 |
I noticed earlier today when I was fumbling with the skills that pressing the skill button once locks your character in place and in some direction, but pressing the button one additional time afterward causes the character to shift their direction toward the mouse cursor. This might explain the turning issue people have with the skill.
Seems to apply to Bullet Storm as well. So it's not a bug at all, but a terrible and really annoying feature... GG Nexon >.>
Also seems like once the character orients themselves into the designated direction it can't be changed without cancelling the skill.
Yet another thing to stick into the pile of poor design choices. The game's clunky enough without nexon trying to make it into QWOP...
That's an interesting find. That "feature" always screwed with me too and I never figured out what the cause of it was. Now I know not to mash the key in a panic, lol.
Can't believe DevCAT/Nexon just trolled us like that :C
Upon loading the skill, myself and many of my friends notice that the "crouch" can face in a seemingly random direction, rather than the direction your character was facing prior to skill activation, limiting or even completely stopping you from targeting monsters that should have been in the line of fire had the crouch activated in the appropriate direction.
Just wondering if this would be eligible to list as a skill issue or not?
Facing doesn't determine where you shoot. I've been able to turn around when facing the opposite direction.
However, I have noticed that my character doesn't shoot where I intend to, so it probably is a bug.
I think it's just the good 'ol displacement lag that makes this happen. The best remedy that I know is to just click twice on the spot you want to start Shooting Rush from so you're not displaced, but of course ain't nobody got time to click twice on a spot. The more horrible glitch is when the enemies are right in front of your face but you cant even activate Shooting Rush. We'll just have to cope with it or as said before click twice on the spot you want to move to so you're not displaced.
Do you? The wording makes it sounds like a "yes".
I'm not sure what you mean by that. What I did say is: You cannot be stunned or knocked back, you can only be damaged if a nearby player does, you execute the attack even at death.
This was from one of the older edits, so it leads me to believe that you can't get hit during the rushing animation.
You cannot be targeted during the rushing animation but you can be hit by skills like Windmill, Fireball, Meteor Strike, and maybe Thunder and Ice Spear. You should be immune to skills like Shock, I believe. Of course, if you're alone, there's no way to be hit at all unless they target a pet or something.
It's like assault slash -- you can be hit during the animation, but the attack is still executed (though in assault slash, knockback is still dealt).
It's like Assualt Slash/Tumble/Any skill that puts you in a fixed motion (Like stampede). You can hit them from their initial position with windmill, crash shot, shock, thunder...anything an AoE. Their final location isn't "registered" until after the skill completes itself. Though this may result in displacement lag.
Though this skill, the final location is registered immediately on use, not at the end of the animation. And AoEs CAN hit you, but only if they hit another player and they're near your final location. So it is a bit different than those skills.
Uh. I'm pretty sure Assault Slash sets your position to the final position immediately on use. As for Tumble, I have no idea.
well tumble is skill animation, assault slash doesn't register until the hit lands. if you get hit during the animation, you seem to stagger and get back up in place while dealing damage. I'm not sure about shooting rush, but from what I've seen, it's more rather towards assault. Tumble needs to finish or other wise, you get pushed far back.
I'm 99.9% sure that your position is set on use, not upon landing. o_O I'd test it, but after that bow shit, I'm tired.
It could be that you're teleported immediately, but if you're hit during the animation, you get teleported back?
That's what I'm saying. Your position is set upon usage. You don't get "teleported back" though... o.o
I've gotten hit once in the middle of Tumble via windmill and I've done that back to tumblers. The same thing occurs with Dragon Dash Attack/Stampede/Smack, and my Spear of God hit Cromm Cruiach's starting point but for some reason it didn't get hurt...
It's not a matter of whether you can get hit or not; we already know you can. It's a matter of "where does the server see me at the moment I am hit".
Um, I don't think the targeting thing is true. A Bone Fighter, a Giant Spider, and a Blue Grizzly Bear ran up to my landing spot and whacked me with normal attacks, no other player was involved (and Spiders and Bears don't have splash).
Just how fast will this skill end up using dura anyway? Will it be ...
A) One attacks' worth per enemy hit, like Windmill... B) One attacks' worth per bullet used... (in this case 10 bullets) or C) One attacks' worth per use regardless of the # of enemies hit, like Fireball...
Reason for my wondering is because guns don't have much durability in the first place, and most upgrades cost them even more of it.
I feel like that's sarcastic, so I'll go with that.
Though that's a pretty silly name, made me laugh for a few seconds.
It MIGHT have made more sense if they at least called it Bullet Ballet. . . Seriously, what's wrong with the English names the KR server gave them?
Pretty much all the gun skill names are horrible. I'm really hoping none of them end up in our version and they get changed at the last second. :\
I think Lift Tackle and Way of the Gun are silly and ridiculous. I also find Closer and Faraway silly and ridiculous too. And I agree with Pyrus that Bullet Ballet sounds better than Gun Ballet.
Well, it can still change. Remember, the name in NA's data for the fighter destiny was monk for a while until they changed it back.
I didn't say it was likely, I just said it was possible. Personally, I don't think it would change. I still think Charge is a stupid translation. > .>
