My friend is curious as to whether or not "a day" means in-game, or in real life. I'm having her test it out, but it'd save us the trouble if the person who edited that part specifies. =)
Is there really a 200 limit? I don't recall other pets having one (or there is, but no one ever mentioned it).
Even with enough MP, you cannot shear more than 200 times. But you can still get more than 200 fur in a real life day with an upgraded gathering knife and lucky gathers.
What about the sheep and herb pets and other gatherable ones? Are they limited as well?
What happens if you try shearing 201 times?
"You aren't able to shear any more fur from this Alpaca today."
Other pets have no limit. I've pumped thousands out of herb pets in a single day via whole guild gathering while mana elixirs were plentiful.
With it all being account locked it is a somewhat pointless limit. What are you going to do? Make 500 robes you can't do anything with?
If the Alpaca Storage bags are tradable, then yeah...trust me, it's better than taking a ton of space rather than have 1 confined space for a 100 materials of a particular type.
I wonder why the hell they aren't tradeable in the first place..
Considering how long those other pets have been here for, it's safe to say that they don't have a limit. I think this is mainly so that a mass production of Alapaca stuff doesn't happen.
Edit: I forgot a word there.
What are they trying to do, limit our Weaving training?
Another question, does it reset at 12am or 7am?
Never saw the point in owning multiple of a limited pet :x. If that's the case I may spring for another...though I don't think I want to level another alpaca to 60~65....
80 spaces of inventory for 10 dollars is a good enough reason. Practically replaces all non-hotkey or AOE pets (but not like, you know, warp imps).
Or spam summoning Ice Dragons to keep the enemies stunlocked, Bone Dragons to dish out tons of damage and cripple enemy defense, or Pegasus to deal more tons of damage.
