Description

His blond hair is neatly slicked back exposing a wide forehead. Despite his old age, he has maintained an upright posture and healthy skin. His hands are covered with scars. His eyes stare into the ocean.

Ascon is an old man who watches over the Lighthouse in Port Cobh.

Past

His father was Alasdair, his mother was Gwenllian, and his sister was Arranz. There is a small cemetery north of Port Cobh holding his parents's graves.

Fifty years ago, Ascon was kidnapped by a band of pirates while trying to protect his sister. The Pirates took him to Belvast Island, where he was enslaved for many years, but his memory and faith with his family allowed him to survive. Eventually, Ascon was rescued by an expedition led by Admiral Owen who assaulted Belvast Island and defeated the pirates.

In present day, his parents died of old age, and his sister moved away to Emain Macha after being married to a rich man named Vigorin. Ascon continues to sit by the Lighthouse, with the memories lingering in his head. The drawing of his family behind the Lighthouse is still present after all this time.

While rummaging through his old things, he found a false letter that he didn't write. Angered, he requests the Milletian to track down the crook.

According to the Letter for Ascon, his family wrote their concerns and tried rescuing him with the help of a rich man named Videk, but their attempts were futile as they didn't have enough Gold. After reading it, he blames himself for causing his family's tragedy.

Gordon states that Arranz had slapped Videk and complained to him on one night, and then ran away never to be seen again. When Ascon hears about this, he becomes vengeful, immediately understanding that Videk was the one who wrote the false letter and had cheated his family all this time.

• His Sidequest goes under the Shakespeare tab in the quest window and is referred to as G14S4. However, it is not related to Shakespeare in any other way at that point.
• During the Ascon Sidequest's RP Quest Ascon as a child had Rank Novice Combat Mastery and Rank 8 Counterattack and Defense.
• Ascon is the main participant of Sky Lantern Events.
  • Players craft Sky Lanterns for Ascon, and send them flying in celebration. These lanterns are the same type than the ones floating at the top of the Lighthouse.
