It says that it cannot be dyed but there is a dye details. Fixed dyes and regular dyes do not work on it. So why is there dye details on this page?
probably from the files...I'd remove it but I don't want to mess anything up :x I thought ti dye template was linked to something else lol.
Well I pawned off my hermit so I can't test this :s. And HATSUNE D:< . . . sorry about that.
I have no idea. It just kinda struck me as I was looking through my pets for a dye, but I had mistaken it for a metal dye amp. x.x oh well.
I was just curious as to whether or not you can gather all three elementals with this staff via sprites?
If I'm not mistaken it only works with wands, not staves.
I don't have a Hermit's but I confirmed it doesn't work with White Wing.
Probably not; You can't do any form of fusion bolt either, and both are predicated on explicit elemental affinity.

Does the hermit staff only ignore the elemental charge prerequisite for intermediate magic, or does it lack the elemental charge system entirely?
Are you sure about that? I may be wrong but I'm pretty sure you can still charge it for extra bolt elemental damage.
In the Hilwen Nightmare RP, I didn't get any onscreen messages or effects on the staff after like 50 bolts, and bolt damage appeared to be the same, that's why I brought it up here(Didn't emmideately change the tables because some things are just different inside the RP).
Which is better: gradually strengthening intermediate magic spells over time or using them straight off the bat?
To have elemental charges or not to have elemental charges? To supercharge intermediate magic, or use their unbuffed variants instantly?
The staff page says that only bolts get the buff.
If it did apply to int magic, the hermit staff would have to be fully upgraded from the highest crafted version(+8) to get 1% more magic dmg than the others, assuming both dmg %s are applied in the same part of the formula. As for which is subjectively better, that's a question for a forum, not a wiki.
It seems that the first is somehow tied with the template, so I have no idea how to get rid of it.
The second is based on what Meru said: You can't charge it at all, but you can use intermediate magic like having a wand of the respective element.
The Hermit staff is able to receive special upgrades.

I'd fix it but I don't want to completely screw over the table.
