Talk:Merlin's Shyllien Mana Knuckle (Type 1)

Recently I've been able to trigger elemental charges on this weapon, can anyone else confirm/deny this? Or is it more of a case of the game telling you it's charged when it in fact does nothing?

I'm not sure if it works, but I can second this, I also get charge messages for Merlin's Shyllien Mana Knuckles. (I also just tested with regular Shyllien Mana Knuckles, they do not give charge messages.)

My regular shyllien mana knuckles are giving charge messages.

I'm still not getting messages from my regular Shylliens. Where'd you get yours? Mine were from the login event.

Tested, my Merlin Type 1s still give the charge message, I don't have Type 2s to test with.

No idea where mine are from. My log in event ones died long ago, and I just bought a new pair from someone else. My log in ones also did charge messages if I recall. They look like the special colored ones, as far as I can tell. My friend says his log in event ones still get charging messages.

I have the new ones (35 max) and I got the 1st ice charge message while icebolting rats, but not any other messages after that.

Tested the type 2's (the 35 max ones Shroom used) and got 3rd message on Brown Mountain Sheep today, seems that this might be an intended patch rather than a glitch, anyone able to confirm this for the type 1's?

My type 1's have always been chargeable. I don't know if that is useful for them though.

Quite useful, you can use it to get some extra damage on magic of that type, so that makes them a bit more useful than they seem!

At level 3, you get a 0.15 bonus to one of the multipliers on the bolt spell related to the element. Unfortunately, it's only bolts...

The ones that came from Winter Ace Gachapon and Flame Wings Gachapon have 45 max attack. The ones currently in the Eweca Orb have 35 max attack. Has anyone else noticed this?

It might be a new version. I also can't find any old knuckles to check myself.

It's possible that there are crafting stats for it. I'll look into this.

While there are no crafting stats, there are a couple of things that point out that the base, is indeed, 35 max. Also it's a bit wonky too.

Here's a side by side between one that's been on housing forever while the other from the recent orb:

Fast 3 hit and very fast 5 hit. Now what about repair costs lol. Should they be 2 separate items?

They share the same id, so likely it's either a nerf or something happened between the two. If necessary, we could just...separate it.

I think equipping it might be necessary. Just to be sure it really is 3 hit, since that is pretty odd for knuckles. They also have different injury rate. If they really are different, even if they share the same id, I think separating would be best. I have a little extra cash, so I could buy one if no one else can get the info.

Is the special upgrade treated like a staff or knuckles?

Knuckles according to Special Upgrade page.
