Can we downgrade?. . . These pyramids make it annoying-er to read, in my opinion.

Yes, I agree.

Even if it were to change, it wouldn't be for a week or 2 so more input/opinions can be gathered. I don't see a reason to change it if only ~4 people (basing this off of the ones who've said they dislike it for one reason or another).

Can't say I prefer one layout over the other, but this one at least makes it a lot easier to follow long-ass discussions.

I actually gotten used to it now. I'm okay with this.

I prefer this version. the darker outlines make it easier to see what was a response to what, and the individual show/hide buttons seem like they might be useful. The extra reply buttons on the left in the previous version seemed convenient in theory, but too many people seemed to misunderstand their purpose so it just ended up making discussions less organized.

How do you NOT create a pyramid in this new format?

It's really not hard o-o; Find the post you want to reply to and reply to it. I gotten used to it pretty quick.
