Does it really...?
NOPE. Pure white comes out as a light purple.
Mine is a specific pale blonde that I go for. It is not white, you need to calm down.
I have like every wig in the game, both male and female, and I've dyed them so many times. Every time it's pure white, it will come out light purple.
I don't see who isn't calm here..but anyways maybe it's just your film or your graphics card making it look purple for you? I don't see why it would be different in 2 servers of the same game x.x
I can get a picture of her wigs, ill get them in a bit. Currently busy with my husband and canada day ^^
Alright, sorry for the wait, here is the image of my friend wearing a WHITE wig, which looks the exact same as the one you did an image of. http://img706.imageshack.us/img706/3024/wigproof.png
It's not pure white. PURE WHITE WILL ALWAYS COME OUT AS A LIGHT PURPLE.
Do it yourself. I'm done with this though, goodbye.
Well I just gave you the proof of it being white, and yes it is pure white. There is no need at all to use caps and give such a rude behavior. You were the one who asked for the proof so I gave it...^^;
From the Wiki Policy: "Do not upload icons with black or white parts since these can't be seen very well."
My Wig can be seen PERFECTLY well and since I am the one who dyed it and I never choose white for my wigs, it is a pale blonde.
Whatever you say, although the image I showed you was the proof..;/ and it was indeed white. Enough of this.
It's a shame you don't know what pure white looks like on the cloth palette.
You get so worked up over something so trivial on a Wiki page and when you're wrong, you don't accept it.
And from the Wiki policy, I'm certain their definition of "white" is the little white specks in http://puu.sh/FTPU . K
That's kind of rude to be saying, I do in fact know what white is..Iget 4 of them each time I dye my clothes :/ Also, the policy doesn't want anything white or CLOSE to white.
This discussion was originally about whether or not white shows up as light purple on a wig, not about whether or not someone knows what the colour white looks like.
and
You both said you're done with this discussion, so why is it continuing?
Oh, and Lovely, if you really want to nit-pick, then the both photos aren't up to par with the wiki standards. The original one is angled funny and is grainy, while the one you uploaded can be seen as close to white/blends in with the wearer's skin too much. You say you want proof, yet you've given no proof other than word of mouth of your own claims. How about you grab a fixed white dye amp, use it on the wig, take a screenshot of the dye window and link the screenshot here (which you should've done originally, instead of arguing with seecret).
Also, what's the point of bringing up the policy to defend the screenshot you uploaded? Last I checked, Kevin reverted the screenshots to the one Vanstina uploaded and he pretty much has the final say anyway.
I would love to dye my wig white but it takes forever to get the perfect pale blonde.
To fix this situation, I'll be using a fixed on another wig so you people can shut up.
And by the way, http://puu.sh/FV03 http://puu.sh/FV07 http://puu.sh/FV1x
Dyed that wig pure white jus 4 u qt's
Your lack of insight...is quite amusing actually. Instead of using a dye on a second wig (which you appeared to have gotten quite easily just now), reuploading new screenshots and avoiding a 3 day discussion, you decided to make a bunch of reverts a few days ago without taking a hint as to why the reverts were happening in the first place, changed the topic of this thread, failed to understand the policy you were quoting, and only now posted images of a wig dyeed white after someone bluntly points it out.
TL;DR If you wanted us to shut up, you should've thought ahead and posted a screenshot earlier instead of trying to start drama, dragging it out and making a fool of yourself.
I didn't make a fool of myself. You're awfully angry, brb loling. I did obtain it quite easily. Want one? :) Also, if you checked the reverts, it wasn't even me reverting them constantly. Soooo ;)
*facepalm* I can't believe a simple question goes into...this.
I managed to get a hold of the wig and attempted to confirm this myself. It does turn white, but due to the way the wig reacts to white, it becomes slightly tinted with blue, not purple (though it may vary...I used a fixed white), similar to the Pixie Dye Palette.
Hello, I would just like to remind you that images on the wiki are not used for showcasing yourself, which is what it seems like if your using FOUR different wigs on your images, when that isn't really necessary. The downside to this is that it doesn't keep the images consistent, and we are usually supposed to keep it consistent. You may only use one wig that could cover up your hair if you don't want to be accused for showcasing, which as I see the Ophelia Wig really could have done on it's own, or the wig you used for the back view of Corentin's Priest Robe. Please keep this in mind next time, thanks!
Is it bothering you because you lost your Portia Wig? Is it bothering anyone else? No. There's nothing wrong with it.
Calm down.
This has nothing to do with me losing my own stuff, that was completely rude of you to even say something like that. All I'm doing is giving you a friendly reminder on consistency o.e
First of all, Lovely. I know you from Alexina and I know what dirt you have under your nails. So, don't start throwing irrelevant material (which I can find that easily offensive and completely rude in this matter) towards someone, because of what they're saying is correct and you just have a problem with them. If you want to start drama or do that type of material, then there are other ways of doing that communication, instead of bashing each other on a public site and end up getting banned for it. So, not trying to be a back-seat moderator; however, please refrain from starting drama on here. It leads nowhere, but an easy ban.
On the relevant material, she is correct. You need to use all of the same wig for each picture, because that can be considered as someone taking 3 or 4 different pictures of the item. I can understand the back; however, leave it the same on the remaining images in this picture. We're asking kindly, not trying to bash you--so please get that mindset out of your head and stop trying to cause fights. Thank you.
I'm actually from Ruairi. Hi I'm Summers.
I'll keep that in mind next time.
&Uhmmmm, my nails are clean. Never played on Alexina either, so..
Don't mind Dejosa, he sticks his nose in everyone else's business and cries when people get mad about it.
I think this is related to off-site drama from last night. I'll handle this manner appropriately. Apologies for everyone being dragged into this.
The system's a bit messed up when it comes to hyperlinking pagenames with apostrophes in them, so here's a convenient link, if you still want to upload it: [1].
Thanks for the uploads.
I'm going to have to give you a second notification against uploading white clothing - specifically, Media:Endelyon&-39;s Lymilark Habit Equipped Front.png and its related uploads, Media:Luxurious Evening Dress.png, and Media:Juliet&-39;s Shoes Equipped Front.png and its sister pictures, as they do violate the Image Policy.
So thank you for your efforts, but next time, please wait until you have clothes that don't have black and white in them before taking pictures for use on the wiki.
Thought it'd be better than not having an image at all, oh well.
I'll stop with the contributions, then.
It's better then having no image. But you just have to follow the image policy. Plus you have already been told about this.
actually, I do recall Endelyon's Habit is actually white...but I could be wrong...all I've seen is white.
Sorry, I don't remember being told this other than now.
Delete the images then.
If you checked your talk page, instead of just the New Messages tab, scroll down to the bottom and you'll find a message from last August. I've been assuming you've seen that, which is kinda why I took a bit harder tone...sorry.
And I kinda also assumed you owned the clothes, since I didn't see any credit given to someone else, so I thought you had the ability to dye it.
While I do agree with both you and Sakura's assertion that an image, however bad, is better than no image, keep in mind that images do take space. I'd think that if everyone uploaded a marginally better picture under the assumption that since it's going to be replaced anyways, it's okay in the meantime, then the empty bytes left are going to be gobbled up faster than Pac-man hyped by sugar. If you have the capability to (as I assumed), it just saves room and the trouble of finding a replacement if the picture uploaded was perfect from the start.
Oh, I wasn't the person who uploaded whatever the images were in August, I was just using this account because I remember something about Wiki needing people to delete their accounts if they didn't use them. I could be wrong, because I only remember it vaguely.
My apologies then, I'll upload the perfect images from the start.
I don't think accounts can be deleted...if that was the case, the vandals' accounts would have been deleted too. I think.
And...now that you say what I said, I start sounding unreasonable, heh. I'll just have to add that "try" is the keyword.
Thanks for listening.
I mean, I added them because they didn't have any images to begin with.. I knew they'd be replaced when people uploaded them in different colors. >>
I see. if you happen to know the person or anything mind asking...kinda weird that I only see in white ;c
I wanted to to let ya know that it is against policy to upload images with bad lighting, glow effect enabled, and images with pieces dyed white and black. For the best lighting most people like the dunbarton library as it has free range of camera. Please give the image policy a read through for other bits of advice.
