Use Flame Burst to defeat as many monsters as you can within the time limit. The higher the damage from a single Flame Burst, the higher your score will be. As the test rank increases, stronger monsters will appear and you will need a higher score to pass the test.

Equipment

Points

  • +20 Points per hit: Attacked an enemy with Flame Burst!
    • +100 Points per hit: Attacked a Bonus Monster with Flame Burst!
  • +70 Points: Defeated an enemy with Flame Burst!

General Tips

  • Collect all the HP potions because you start with reduced HP, which Flame Burst damage scales off of.
  • Bonus points will be given at the end of test equivalent to the highest Flame Burst single tick damage multiplied by 3. Ex. A max damage of 930 will give you 2790 points at the end.

Strategy

  • This strategy requires high ranks in Close Combat skills that carry over into the test, as well as R1 Rain Casting.
  • Rush through the first 3 waves in order to utilize the bonus points that are given in the boss wave. Save 1 enemy to use Sand Burst on at the end of the 3rd wave and quickly use Rain Casting at the center of the room. This will allow you to cast Flame Burst freely without drawing aggro.
  • Make sure to turn off Chain Cylinder and use 1 charge of Flame Burst to attack the boss wave.
    • Each Flame Burst tick will give you +120 points per enemy.
  • Once your Rain Casting is over, Shadow Wizards will stunlock you.
  • While rushing through the first 3 waves, it is recommended to pick up HP potions that are dropped to increase the damage of Flame Burst.
    • With your HP full, and before or during the boss wave, try to get a critical hit 5 charge Flame Burst to maximize the bonus points given at the end of the test.
    • Wounds from the Shadow Archers in the second wave will permanently reduce your maximum damage output as there is no means to recover from them; it may be better to restart if you start to get too wounded.
