Shadow Archer (Family)

Basic Info

• Unlike beginner-leveled enemies such as Goblin Archers, Shadow Archers do not delay their fire and will always attempt to shoot whenever they have the chance.
• Their accuracy loads extremely fast.
• May run around for a bit before attacking.
• Shadow Archers do not have a melee or magic attack; they will attempt to shoot as long as you are within range.
• Shadow Archers have approximately 2200 distance with their bows.

Notes & Advice Notes Notably fast aggro, running, and aiming speed Advice They tend to run away when they aggro you, and prefer a medium distance. Tend to double aggro. Pet's are notably helpful against archers since they are incapable of fighting back against normal hits, however, they will double aggro the pets as well, and deal heavy damage and injury. Especially at higher difficulties, their arrows hit quickly, often before you can close the gap with close combat attacks. They have high crit rates, injury, and damage. Though they take awhile to load magnum shot, they fire it very quickly and accurately. Hitting them at a distance might cause them to load Defense, which helps in multi-aggro situations. Very weak health and low protection, even on higher difficulties, make one hit kills easy to accomplish.

Notes & Advice Notes Aims faster than their weaker versions Advice They work in tandem with Shadow Lancers as well as themselves Often aggro's faster than lancers Will use Magnum shot frequently Being weaker, and dealing more damage, they should be your primary target. The exception being if you are aggroed by a Lancer. Though the archer will deal heavier damage, lancers will often stun you, or knock you away from the archer. Therefore, you should focus on killing these enemies immediately, before they aggro. Charge is recommended when they run away. In situations where you cannot damage them, you should stay as far away as possible, to prevent as much damage. Having a high Windmill rank helps to eliminate them when they are close during combat versus lancers and other archers. Pet's help to interrupt their attacks, but be cautious, as another lancer or archer will immediately aggro them shortly.

Notes & Advice Notes Can aim from longer distances and deal more damage than weaker variants. Advice They often attack behind barrier spikes Close the gap between them as quickly as possible in Battle for Taillteann missions, avoiding Ice Mines. You might want to send a pet in before you, in order to take the aggro off of you before you close in. In higher difficulties, they deal up to 200, to 300 damage with magnum shot, making them deadly to most players. High protection and Mana shield is necessary. In Fomor Commander II, similar strategies to Fomor Commander I applies.
