Originally Female

Is there any official art or reference that depicts TH as originally female? I didn't even know that he was originally a female elf.

Description - Eye colour

Ehrr.. "Shaggy hair pours over his bronzed skin and cool blue eyes." Blue??? I'm kind of really sure I'm not colour blind and his pictures never showed his eyes being another colour than gold'ish.

The magical power of Nex'un.

Description

Dialogue:

  • "Who are you, eh? Stop bothering me and just get out of my sight! If you want to take a look, you'll have to pay."
  • "This place is quite mysterious. The materials on this door in front of me are, frankly, bizarre. You see, a very surreal item that contains the essence of Ancient Irinid... is the exact opposite of this. It was made very recently..."
  • "I've never even heard of this island! There's so much to explore in Erinn."

That's all he says to me, he has no idle chatter. He says nothing about his fellow Aces.

So gauging from this, along with the Dual Gun L-Rod's description, Treasure Hunter's just obsessed with treasure hunting. That's pretty much all we can say about him at the time, I guess.

Infodude575 (talk)17:42, 11 September 2014

Teaser: Treasure Hunting originates from a mysterious elf with a thirst for knowledge and adventure.

I thought almost all the Aces were human? Where are his pointy ears?

Infodude575 (talk)17:20, 5 September 2014

I find "almost all" to be badly said considering there's only 5 Aces.

  • Maybe his hair hides it.
  • Something else hides it.
  • Nexon don goof.

Take your pick.

Nise Panda (talk)17:31, 5 September 2014

I'd like to know how his hair hides his "pointy" ears but not for us masqueraders.

Infodude575 (talk)17:42, 5 September 2014

I think the male version is a human.

Just saying.

PlatinaKoki (talk)20:36, 5 September 2014

Hm, lets see how fast his combat NPC runs.

Infodude575 (talk)20:40, 5 September 2014

What thell...You guys need to read inbetween the lines...

Treasure Hunting originates from a mysterious elf with a thirst for knowledge and adventure.

This only refers to the actual Hunting part...as far has the NPC's race, that's entirely different...I'm not sure how you're associating Elf with his race when the line clearly talks about the origin of Treasure Hunting, Not the NPC. Just wait til we actually see some and besides, I thought the aces were humans(?).

Culinary Artist is considered a giant...? The patch notes said "Being a giant, his portions tend to be a bit... large, so if you ever happen to meet him be sure to bring your appetite!" Though it could be taken the wrong way again...?

Infodude575 (talk)21:10, 5 September 2014

He seems to have the physique of a giant. I've never seen a Human NPC with a face that fat.

PlatinaKoki (talk)21:46, 7 September 2014

But where have you seen a giant with a face that fat?

The chubbiest human I could find was Guildenstern. This game is very anti-obesity.

iDSd22:39, 7 September 2014

...okay? What exactly are you directing towards me?

Yinato (talk)14:35, 8 September 2014

I'm going to take a shot in the dark and say that his reason for removing the race from Culinary Artist is supposed to be backed up here. However it isn't. Infodude points out that the patch notes say that he's a giant. And you did point it out as well in your revert with this link. http://imgur.com/L7emmrD

Blargel (talk)14:38, 8 September 2014

Does it say that? I never cared much about him since...lolmabicooking. Besides, the word giant could be used to describe him...blegh, I'm not gonna bother dealing with this crap other than I don't think he should be label as Elf because of a silly line.

If we don't know we don't know. It's not gonna kill us to leave it blank or whatever.

Mystickskye (talk)02:33, 8 September 2014

Like Mystickskye said, leaving it blank won't hurt. We certainly don't need another discussion to end up like the druid discussion.

Yinato (talk)05:00, 8 September 2014

Slightly related, why is Anju's race labeled Tanuki and Hagi's race as Kitsune, when all they do is just transform into them?

Infodude575 (talk)16:26, 8 September 2014

dem ears.

No seriously, it's the ears.

Yinato (talk)16:30, 8 September 2014

I would have preferred Demi-Human or something...oh well. I'm okay as they are now...and yes...ears ' ^ '

he's a human, end of story. as far as Cuilnary Artist, he's a Giant. End end of story.

Their real name is unknown and they simply go by Treasure Hunter.

... What's with the gender-neutral pronouns (Their, they)? The NPC is male!

Infodude575 (talk)21:38, 10 September 2014

Even Nexon's description is gender neutral. Maybe he/she's a G.I.R.L.

crack theories.

Nise Panda (talk)03:52, 11 September 2014

I cracked up when I read that. In all seriousiness, just drop the crap and move on...there's more important things. Besides, yinato's right.

If there was a quest that involved distinguishing his/her gender, then it would be important, but that's not going to happen. It's also just referring to those who are treasure hunters, not a specific guy/girl/thing that is a treasure hunter.

Yinato (talk)04:16, 11 September 2014

He's male. End of story.
