Description

13th Anniversary Cave of Trials entrance

• This mission is part of the Mabinogi Anniversary Events.
• Speak to Duro the Trialkeeper to begin the mission.
  • Duro will not let you in if you have a Rag Doll in your inventory/Pet summoned.
• Face the 11/12/13/14/15/16/17 trials of bosses to complete the mission.
  • You can use Transformation Skills
  • You cannot consume Food or use any other items besides potions.
  • You cannot summon Pets, Partners, or Dolls while inside.
  • You cannot use Nao, Guardian Soul Stones or Revival Balloons to get up upon being Knocked Unconscious.
  • Flame of Resurrection buffs from a Phoenix pet will not work inside the cave. (However, you will have the buff when you exit, if it has not expired.)
  • You cannot request a revival via Advanced Phoenix Feather.
  • You can return to town upon being Knocked Unconscious or press Exit on the top right of your screen to return to the entrance.
  • Blessings will be lost upon being Knocked Unconscious.

Stage of Trials

Starting from the 15th Anniversary onwards, Duro is not the NPC responsible for the Cave of trials anymore; It instead has been moved to a designated NPC. The Festia prop also does not make a return.

• During the 15th Anniversary event, Neo was responsible for the Stage of Trials entry.
• During the 16th Anniversary event, the Stage of Trials Manager is responsible for the Stage of trials entry.

Changes

• No titles are given for clearing every individual wave.
• The Master Lich will not Summon Ghasts.
• The giant Spider was replaced by another monster.
• All restrictions of the previous Cave of Trials still remain.
• You may choose to receive Combat EXP, Exploration EXP, Music Renown EXP, or Life Renown EXP for clearing the stages.
  • ?? Combat Exp is given per stage cleared.
  • ?? Exploration Exp is given per stage cleared.
  • 10 Renown EXP is given per stage cleared.
• A Basic and a veteran mode were implemented; monsters in veteran mode are stronger than their basic counterpart.
• Certain Skills seem to be made weaker regardless of version, such as Meteor Strike.
• Rag Dolls were fully disabled from the 16th Anniversary onwards.
• In the 16th Anniversary version Veteran mode, A red damage circle will periodically appear under the player's feet.

There are no rewards for clearing each individual boss. Instead, titles are rewarded for certain milestones:

• who Took the First Step to the Stage (1st Title) : Clear at least 1 round in the Stage of Trials
• who Destroyed the Stage of Trials (2nd Title) : Clear the Stage of Trials (Basic or Veteran)
• who Surmounted the Stage of Trials (1st Title) : Clear the Stage of Trials (Veteran)

Trivia

• Despite appearing on the outside of the building, Glas Ghaibhleann was removed from the Boss Lineup.
• The number of bosses do not match the number of years in NA's Anniversary because they follow KR's Anniversary.
• During the 14th Anniversary, the Lesser Panda Rag Doll and Baby Kitty Rag Doll were allowed in the Cave of Trials.
• During the 15h Anniversary event, the player must interact with the Stage of Trials helper to enter the activity; the Glas Ghaibleann attraction was not re-implemented.
• During the 16th Anniversary event, the room was changed from a dungeon room to the Advancement Test Hall Dan Testing room. It was also renamed 'Stage of Trials, likely due to not being in a cave anymore.
