Siren (Monster)

Basic Information
- Sirens are evil water spirits that take the form of female humans. Equipped with a magic flute that causes hypnosis, they trick humans into drowning in the waters within their territory.
- Sirens are one of the few monsters that can speak. What she says is based on her aggro state.
- Sirens also have facial reactions based on her speech.
- Sirens have randomly generated facial features and masks.
- If a male player is in normal mode when confronting a Siren, she will notice the player, talk, and walk around them, but will not aggressively attack.
- If the player is female or the male player is in combat mode, she will aggressively aggro instead.
- Scoring a Critical Smash on her when she is in combat mode causes her mask/glasses to drop. This rewards "the One Who Removed Siren's Mask" (for males) or "the One Who Exposed Siren's Identity" (for females) title, and her mask can be looted.
- Once she loses her mask, she stops using Natural Shield, Mana Deflector, Thunder, and Teleportation.
- Sirens have very high Protection; in order to be able to critical her, players need their critical to be more than twice her protection.
- If the Critical Smash kills the Siren, her mask will not drop.
- It is advised not to use high damage weapons (e.g. Lances).
- If your damage is too high to avoid killing the Siren with a critical smash, using a pet may be an alternative. It is possible to use a pet with a high enough Critical rate to knock her mask off with a critical smash; using Divine Link will help boost the pet's critical rate.
- Her mask does not drop in Rundal Boss Trial and Siren's Conch Shell (Generation 13) versions of Rundal Dungeon, however her mask visually disappears and she still loses her skills.
- Sirens appear to generate with a random mask; you can tell which mask will drop by looking at the mask she is wearing, but there is otherwise no way to hunt for a specific Mask.
