Event cards?

Like the Aloha (Summer?) Character Cards, and now the Pilgrim Character Cards. Should they get a page, or at least a section? I mean, we have a lot of articles about stuff that go away eventually, like events, and limited time pets, so why not character cards?--αму^ταιқ♪♫_♪ 12:32, 10 November 2009 (UTC)

The only page I found with limited stuff would be the hats page and the Category:Event page. What I'd advise is to merge a few of these into one big category. --Zephyre^TALK 13:41, 10 November 2009 (UTC)

So I decided to do a rewrite of the section on the types of Character Cards, since that hasn't been updated in quite a while despite the Merlin update being a few weeks ago. The draft is here: http://wiki.mabinogiworld.com/view/User:Finiraldi/Sandbox

Problems so far:
1) I have not used the new character cards personally, so the information in there goes only as far as what I can gleam from what's stated in their Web Shop descriptions, and they need to be verified.
2) I also stopped short of adding the exact details regarding the skills they start out with because I don't know how they will differ between starting talents. That, and because I simply don't know how to do tables and what kind of table would be appropriate in this case. I suppose I could at least list out the common skills, but they don't show what the Magic skills will be ranked if you opt for a classic talent instead.

Some assistance would be appreciated.

• 2) You don't have to worry about adding the talent-specific ranks, we already have that Category:Hero Talents. (Though I think the Creation and Rebirth of Druid is wrong, perhaps creation and rebirth give different skills?) We do not however have the basic skills, and the basic skills are race-specific as well. You could look up what Solar said on Mabidata but I would prefer if someone here volunteers to test it themselves (with screenshots) in NA.

Since the free rebirth update has now rendered anything that's basically NOT a specialized character creation card unusable, I share the following information (however long puushes last):

• For an existing eligible card (in this case Ace card, still on sale) the "Start" button at the lower left on character selection screen becomes "Trade Card".
• After clicking "Trade Card" you will be prompted to choose a character to receive the depicted items: [[1]].
  • You must log in to this chosen character to receive your Gift Box containing the pons (in this case "Ace Human Card Gift Box")
• the Free Weekly Rebirth becomes available after 144 hours have passed since the previous rebirth (after 6 full days)
• You can no longer use a card which is eligible for trade in for rebirth DESPITE the message in character information which says a rebirth is Available (Character Card Required)
  • Meaning despite the message, no cards OR pons are required to rebirth
• The only way to rebirth into an Ace talent is to pay the 39 pons
  • IF an ace talent is selected, you may choose a character for hero support (I don't think this is available otherwise)
• While performing a free rebirth the "Change Gender", "Level and Age Reset", and "Last Location" options are selected by default
  • It does not cost pons to select your rebirth location, however, you will only receive a free dye and Nao Collection Book if you bought an Ace talent with pons (confirm this doesn't just require spending pons in general)
• While performing a free rebirth you may charge pons (via website) and change your character's appearance (at the cost of pons for premium looks)
  • It costs 0 pons if no changes are made to an existing premium appearance

1. You can still create a new character with an Ace Card specifically despite the Start button being replaced, right?
2. Are you sure the free rebirth is every 6 days? Before the update it was every 6 days and 1 whole hour.

You should be able to create characters with cards with wild abandon, and I don't recall if the extra hour was totally necessary or not; I don't know exactly how it rounds and the timing is probably exactly the same as before the update.

These cards require a character at or above a certain level to be on the same account, but when you actually create the new character, does it have to be on the same server?

I think it only requires the total level on the same account for purchase/usage and the character can be made on any server.

I created an elite hero alchemist on Tarlach when all of my other characters and pets (including the one that's ~5k) are on Mari. You only need to have a character somewhere that meets the level requirement

I have a question. Can you select hero talents when using a Limited Edition Character Card?

I'm pretty positive that they were considered premium cards. I haven't used one in a while, but I'll check with the next one. I'm sure someone has tried though.

I think the question is now whether the premium cards will provide the same benefits as an Ace card. Certainly the Merlin with Magus Crest and the Professor J cards were Ace cards, but if I recall correctly, they also had character cards (Nut Cracker and Swan Lake) recently as Premium cards which did not provide the benefits of Ace cards. The more recent waffle cone is called a "2014 Valentine's Premium Item", so I am not sure that it will allow us the benefits of an Ace card

Those sets (Nut Cracker and Swan Lake) are older than the Ace arrival. So has anyone, who bought a Waffle Cone character card, checked if he/she could choose a hero talent?

I had not used a wafflecone myself, but I was told it did not count as a hero rebirth.

Yeah, if it's not an Ace card, you can't select Hero talent without paying the pons.

Seeing as Memorial cards no longer exist in the cash shop, do I remove that section entirely? I feel like that's too much information to just suddenly delete, but that certainly makes it outdated... I mean, I could change everything to past tense and add on a section about Hero cards, but still. I'm not sure what to do.

I think it's most preferred if you use {{Archived|section=y}}.

Ya, never delete information unless it was never right to begin with. Archives would be preferred.

I never managed to find the answer to this question, and I don't really want to test it myself. If you delete the last character on an account, and still have pets on that account, will you get a free character card? Or will the pets count as characters, causing you to have to buy a new card?

They used to count as characters, but this was apparently fixed. I don't know about partners, though.

The same info is on both pages. Either merge or shorten the character card section on Character.

Since Sharp Mind is no longer a skill, Human Rangers no longer have twelve of their hundred AP distributed to it. Somebody needs to check what its distributed to now... I added a stub tag at the bottom of the page, when/if you add it, remove the tag.

If you're talking about the skill list, I already dealt with that after g16s2 was released.

I mean the skill list in this page. Characters made with Destiny Cards come with 100 AP worth of preset skills and 10 extra unused AP. For Human Ranger Cards, 12 of their hundred was on Sharp Mind, now that its gone, what changed?

Is it okay to remove information in premium character cards because Nexon announced they they were removed from the web shop [1]

Would probably be best to instead archive it. (Besides, they're only removing the normal premium cards, not the event ones.)

Anyone use one of these? I'm seeing a bit different results than what the wiki told me. For alchemy skills, I got:

Water Cannon 9 Alchemy Mastery C Wind Blast D Flame Burst C Sand Burst D

Inventory: http://i.imgur.com/o7GDD.jpg (includes a normal cylinder). I think the inventory difference is just a 300 stack of water and fire crystals.

Looks like additional AP given might be the age, not a fixed 10. I have 17 AP.

Does this remove beginner destiny benefits?

I dunno, I was thinking about getting one until I saw...the price tag. e-e I'm sure someone on the wiki will get one. It probably wouldn't since it creates a new character, only with better skill builds and more AP when creating a character. Think of it as a way to...kick start a new character with some basic essential skills done and over with.
