Does Evasion need to dodge anything or does it just need to be used? My guess is it'll probably be just using it like with the other Ace skills.

Infodude575 (talk)13:26, 26 March 2014

Anyone know if it can be learned from a Rank N Evasion?

DarkYuan (talk)15:26, 9 May 2015

It can be learned by casting Rank N Evasion. I just got it today, and it took me around 1500~2000 casts I think... Somewhere around there.

Removes poison upon using Crisis Escape?

A friend of mine was hit by the Arc Lich got poisoned and used Crisis Escape to lose aggro but he also noticed he wasn't poisoned after transforming. Pretty much Crisis Escape can remove the effect poison but wanted to know if it should be added or not?

Jragon0 (talk)20:30, 18 May 2015

No. Transformation Mastery, and by extension Crisis Escape, are glitched in that they hide statue effect icons. So he's still getting poisoned, but it's not showing that he is.

I'll double check later just to be 100% sure.

Infodude575 (talk)21:50, 18 May 2015

Yeah, what Info said. Usually the icon will show back up after you take a tick of damage if I recall correctly.

Marith (talk)21:55, 18 May 2015

Ah alright. Just wanted to make sure since he was only poison for a while and uncertain if the effect is still going or not. Thanks for getting into the info.

  1. "Allows one to transform into a Viewscope, removing all aggro from the player." "There are up to four forms that are randomly used when activating the skill: Viewscope, Telescope, Crystal Ball, and Quest Board. Each one is obtained at Novice, rank C, rank 8, and rank 3 respectively."
    • Redundant. I would change the first line to say "an inanimate object" instead of "Viewscope", and make the second line a subbullet of it.
  2. "The player can still be hit during the skill animation. However, if the player is knocked down before the animation completes, the skill will enter cooldown with no effect."
    • I'd combine the two sentences together, saying "The player can still be hit during the skill animation, but the skill will not be interrupted unless the user is knocked down."
  3. Make a mention that you can't move and use pots or other skills while Crisis Escape is active.
  4. Make a mention that getting hit while transformed will cancel the skill. Fireball's knocked me out of it, but I have no idea for regular flinching attacks.
  5. Make a mention that the skill can be cancelled before transforming by pressing the Cancel Skill Hotkey or the Press Esc to cancel skills option in the Options Dialog.
  6. When there are five seconds left, the message "Crisis Escape will wear off in 5 sec(s)" will appear.
    • Something like this should to be mentioned.
  7. Still missing stamina use in the summary (10 for all ranks).
  8. According to here, shyllien mobs immediately reaggro too? It seems to vary on AI.
  9. Make a note that the cooldown starts immediately on use, and thus the true cooldown is Cooldown - Duration if not canceled early.
  10. "Use the skill to remove the aggro of an monster."
    • ... This kind of doesn't sit right with me. I would rephrase it as ""Successfully use Crisis Escape." requires the user to drop the enemy's aggro."
Infodude575 (talk)18:08, 15 September 2014

4: Since crisis escape cancels all agro once you become the object, it could only be "accidental" attacks that knock you around

6: happens every time you use it, too obvious?

8: may depend how aggressive they are, shyllien can be very hostile

10: In fact, I've found that any nearby aggressive monster will help, not necessarily attacking the user (e.g. monster attacking pet and not you). I have changed it but it could be made better. I can try to test if a nearby "notice" will also suffice.

Looks better, thank you very much.

4: Could be, but what about receiving attacks in PvP?

One more thing: "Not to be confused with Act 6: Crisis" at the top, and vise versa for that page.

Infodude575 (talk)19:02, 15 September 2014

Also still missing Category:Combat Skills...

Infodude575 (talk)01:30, 16 September 2014

I suppose along the lines of the cooldown, does the second or so of animation count against the duration of transformation? I've never been too consistent with seconds.

Shroom Fonzerelli (talk)05:17, 16 September 2014

Cooldown starts as soon as you use (click/press) the skill hotkey.

Yinato (talk)06:15, 16 September 2014

For the record, you don't have to transform to drop the aggro, it drops the second you start to spin. And you can cancel it before ever transforming and still reap the aggro drop benefit.

For the burden of proof I submit this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MC-bNdtCvIk

Marith (talk)13:14, 18 September 2014

of course, you also the risk canceling at just the right time to get stuck.

Plus, I've gotten hit after starting the spin and not lost aggro.

Shroom Fonzerelli (talk)15:15, 18 September 2014

I've undergone both cases. It really seems to vary by the monster...?

Infodude575 (talk)10:26, 19 September 2014

This may or may not be noteworthy but you can't use Crisis Escape while using Control Marionette. All other skills will cancel Control Marionette before using said skill, but in Crisis Escape's case nothing happens.

Infodude575 (talk)18:27, 18 September 2014

I have to wonder whether that's intended

Shroom Fonzerelli (talk)18:42, 18 September 2014

That comes off as really weird to me. Every other skill, including Play Dead, cancels Control Marionette and executes properly.

Infodude575 (talk)19:02, 18 September 2014

  • For learning, does Evasion need to dodge anything or does it just need to be used?
  • Can you drink potions during CE?
  • When does cooldown start? When its used or when the duration expires?
  • Affects Durability/Proficiency?
Infodude575 (talk)20:45, 6 September 2014
  1. Randomly learned. I don't think it matters.
  2. No idea
  3. On use as I recall
  4. No idea.

Stamina cost?

Infodude575 (talk)20:57, 6 September 2014

10 Stamina...might be in the form of a percentage(?). If it's just 10 then that's fine. It also looks like you can get more appearances according to JP's skill table lol...

  • 擬態
    • Novice to D: 観覧鏡
    • C to 9: 望遠鏡
    • 8 to 4:水晶
    • 3 to Master: クエストボード

Google Translate says:

  • Novice to D: 観覧鏡 = Ferris Mirror
  • C to 9: 望遠鏡 = Telescope
  • 8 to 4:水晶 = Crystal
  • 3 to Master: クエストボード = Quest Board

...Ferris Mirror? Wat.

Infodude575 (talk)21:38, 13 September 2014

That's... interesting.

Does this skill have any drawbacks, aside from not being able to move? If not it really seems like it could replace Play Dead.

Also for training I heard you actually need an enemy targeting you?

Infodude575 (talk)10:33, 7 September 2014

I heard you can't use it in Transformations?

Infodude575 (talk)14:42, 11 September 2014

Confirmed that you do not need to dodge attacks. I've added this to the page because it seems to be causing some confusion.
