Talk:Mirage Missile
Have yet to do re-tests to confirm, but I' fairly sure that on-hit kills won't spread the effect. Can anyone check that? Fracture
i just discovered, you CAN use the skill on other players in NA version,i used it on a giant allied human, though it spreads to friends
- Ya, I was doing testing to check that, didn't know it went to allies though.--Enteion 03:31, 31 December 2009 (UTC)
I added the dex and int per lv to the chart so i dont have to figure it out later... slayer1o1 22:10, 29 March 2009 (UTC)
Question
- Does mirage missile stack? For example shooting mirage missile twice on same target for them to take two 3 second interval damage.
- does not stack for one person, dont know about two i added it to the page slayer1o1 01:31, 31 March 2009 (UTC)
This is an error on the main page. Shock damage DOES NOT stack, regardless of how many people use it. Lore 11:25, 24 August 2010 (UTC)
Status Effect
How often does it effect a monster? is it once every second or two seconds or somethign like that. For example, is it 10-40 damage every time it effects the monster or is it over the total time. I am still trying to get the elemental thing so i might be able to answer the questions after. Also, are the monsters still damaged in a healing room when they go into heal mode? do they lose it once they go in does anyone know? slayer1o1 14:05, 29 March 2009 (UTC)
- Yeah, damage continues throughout recovery time and doesn't go away at the end of it (unless time runs out).
Giant Statue Location?
The directions to the Giant Statue send you in 2 different directions.
If you start from the rhino mark, you go to the mana tunnel, and head Northwest.
If you start from the same mana tunnel, you head north?...
Why would beginning from the rhino statue make a difference? It should be the same direction from the mana tunnel either way.
--- ANSWER ---
From South Longa Desert mana tunnel, go north till you see bears, the Giant Statues are southwest of the bears.

That pic shows their location. They're scattered all throughout the green dot. I'd add the pic myself, but I haven't messed with wiki's and don't want to mess stuff up.
- No, the pic on the Giant Stone Statue page is accurate, they can be found farther south than the dot you have there as well. -Fracture
Shock immunity?
The details section states that enemies with Natural Shield 3 are immune to the shock effect...however, the Arc Lich which has NS3 is apparently susceptible to it. Which statement is true? Or are there special cases where the shock damage works even if the enemy is immune to ranged attacks? If so, are there more special cases like this besides the Lich?--Qaccy 10:01, 9 September 2009 (UTC)
INT damage bonus
How much damage bonus does INT give? Is it the same as the INT damage bonus on the stats page for magic? Is the bonus added to the initial arrow or to each individual shock effect? --Dias 03:17, 20 March 2010 (UTC)
Contradiction?
Er. The page states this:
- Shock Damage can not be overwritten.
- For example, if there are 5 second left, you can not shoot Mirage Missile again and renew the charge to 15 seconds, you must wait until it expires to have the effect restored.
- If you do use Mirage Missile while you already have a Mirage Missile in effect, it will cancel your original Mirage Missile shot, and begin a new effect.
The last two lines seem to directly contradict each other. You cannot renew the old effect, but casting a new missile cancels the old effect? This doesn't make sense. Can someone clarify this? --Hecate 05:34, 23 April 2010 (UTC)
This is a condradiction, Shock damage cannot be renewed. Once the first shock effect finishes, you can use Mirage again, but that's the only way. Lore 11:24, 24 August 2010 (UTC)
Helpful in other scenarios
Going along dungeons, and I don't know if much people know this, but it also spreads to closed mimics, allowing you to pick out which chests are mimics and which one has the key. The mimics do not open due to this however :) should a note be made?--Marthian 04:42, 26 August 2010 (UTC)
Added this to the skill description --Lore 15:52, 20 October 2010 (UTC)

I heard it was fixed in Renovation? It's no longer the plague mass murdering Dunbarton?
I know in the description (and maybe in-game rank details) say "shock", but it seems like a really weird term, especially since it it's not "accurately" named (no literal electrocution and whatnot) and can mislead people into thinking about the Shock skill.
Wouldn't it be better to call it Mirage? That's the actual name of the status effect.
Is it 9 dex to 1 damage? You said 7 to 1 on Mabination.
Did they finally buff Mirage Missile yet? Or is it still not adjusted?
Apparently not. I've tested it on a Plateu Wild Boar, and it only slowed down when it used the Defense skill. Therefore, it wasn't walking until then.
And the numbers for Mirage Missile are still the same with the wiki's current ones. That suggests damage hasn't been upped either.
Maybe NA Nexon decided that it would be overpowered... Idk, was there ever a poll discussing about the Ranged buffs back then?
When I got hit with mirage in the arena I didn't walk, but I did notice a speed difference while it was affecting me.
Eh...are you sure that wasn't a mistake...? I'm very sure none of the Boars I've hit slowed down at all...
And by the way, you should have your username link back to your user page. I think you just have to check off the "Treat signature as wikitext" box in My Preferences.
Ah thanks, but yeah, I just tested with my friend too. It's pretty slight, but they did move slower. I made them run 3 laps around a tree and with mirage missile on them was even visibly slower. They even told me they felt slower without me telling them the results.
Ah. If you can get it to 5, or 1, try testing if there's a difference in speed.
Also, can't these factors be found within the game's code?
I don't know if they can since I don't have access to those, but i had my friend help me out. He had rF mirage missle and there didn't seem to be any difference in speed between rF and r6.
Speed is reduced by what seems like 5%~10% or so...I can't say that the speed reduction is significant enough to go as far as messing up people's movements, but it is a small reduction in speed when hit by Mirage missile. I was hit by a master of mirage.
Entire line for Mirage Missile rank 1:
<SkillLevelDetail SkillLevel="15" PrepareTime="2000" AbilityNecessary="40" StaminaNecessary="0" StaminaModPreparing="0" StaminaModWaiting="0" StaminaModProcessing="0" ManaNecessary="15" ManaModPreparing="-7.5" ManaModWaiting="0" ManaModProcessing="0" CombatPower="320" StackPerCast="1" BonusDescription="_LT[xml.skill_leveldetail.5901]" EffectDescription="_LT[xml.skill_leveldetail.5977]" Conditions="_LT[xml.skill_leveldetail.6016]" Var1="200" Var2="35" Var3="80" Var4="21000" Var5="300" Var6="300" BonusLife="0" BonusMana="0" BonusStamina="0" BonusSTR="0" BonusINT="5" BonusDEX="5" BonusWill="0" BonusLuck="0" AttackRange="0" LevelDescription="_LT[xml.skill_leveldetail.6002]" OptionApplyDmgMin="0" OptionApplyDmgMax="0" OptionApplyCritical="0" OptionApplyBalance="0" OptionApplyWoundMin="0" OptionApplyWoundMax="2000" />
All of the active effects appear to be the Var# ones. 1 is base damage multiplier, 2 is min dmg, 3 is maxd dmg, 4 is effect duration, 5 is infection range, and 6...I don't quite know. It could be the speed modifier, though I'd have thought a speed modifier would be a percentage. Both var5 and var6 is 300 for all ranks, including Novice.
Personally, I think var6 is just the infection range too, except for the enemies not targeted yet still infected. I'm still convinced that the eyewitness accounts are placebo effects...or maybe a weird glitch that makes the running animation move slower, but having the actual speed the same.
EDIT: Though actually, I was hasty. I think this is from ver86 package...whoops.
EDIT2: And a nevermind once again, all the var numbers were the same in the package from 99 to 100. Only things different were the names and numbers of the XML descriptions files.
No, they really are moving slower. I tested it by running side by side to an effected elf while I was on my elf. I passed them up every time, even when they had a big head start. We also tested to see if it was maybe lag. So, we ran side by side without the effects, and we moved the same exact same speed without me passing them up.
I can feel my character slowing down when Granat shot me with MM. Maybe it only affects players?
