Basic Information
- An auction is the process of selling goods by offering them up for bids and selling them to the highest bidders.
- Auctions are located at the Auction House in Tara, and are managed by Cliona.
- They are held every day at 5:00pm PDT100 on Channel 5.
- The items to be put up for auction are randomized, but are always something arguably unusual and/or valuable.
- A scrolling message announcing what will be sold will appear approximately thirty minutes before the auction starts. From then on, it will repeat once every five minutes; when five minutes remain until the auction begins, it will repeat every minute.
- Auctions end after all items auctioned have been sold.
- The items held up for auction vary between servers.
Bidding
- When bidding on an item, simply type your bid in the box provided after clicking to purchase the item. You will see the current bid and your bank balance.
- If you change channels or log off after you have bid on an item, your bid will remain constant until time runs out or you are outbid. If time does happen to run out, the item will go to you.
- You have 180 seconds to input your bid before the auction status refreshes.
- When you are outbid, you must bid 5% over the listed bid.
- You will receive a bid failure message if you lack the funds to outbid someone.
Items
- Equipment usually have rare Enchants and/or much higher Durability than normally possible.
- The highest Blacksmithing/Tailoring Grade for Armor and Clothing is B+.
