Hi mikaya
uhh...Hi o -o;
whatever sparks my interest o-o;
As far as personal help with my projects, there isn't much. If you want to help the wiki as a whole, I suggest looking at the stubs or you could always Random Page until you find something you could expand o -o;
Because I do not want the skills to be categorized under the any categories (both current or newly created if any), all ninja skill and related information will stay in this sandbox and their proper pages. It is not to be moved outside of this sandbox until Nexon of North America either confirms or hints a release. Only then will the Ninja Skills be moved outside of this sandbox.
DO NOT, IN UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES, CATEGORIZE THEM!
This only applies to your pages for them, right? There has been no official rule preventing us form making any future skill pages?
I was not inquiring about moving these pages or categorizing them. I was asking if it was decided by the higher ups that foreign content shold be limited to the foreign content page, or whether or not future skill pages are allowed.
This was more of a personal decision for myself as:
- It's region exclusive content. I want to avoid lumping it with anything.
- Seeing it "rot" in the future content section was not a good idea, as seen with several FMA items.
- Saves people from getting lost in the JP wiki due to lack of Japanese (And Google Translate doesn't do any better either).
I planned on making pages for these skills a few weeks later to give Nexon JP time to rebalance them if necessary. I won't be restricted form doing this, right?
Meaning as long as those skills aren't listed under any category, then it'd be fine. However, since mikaya has already made the pages, it'd be redundant for you to make another set of them.
She said listed under current categories, not any categories.
Unless a page for them already exists or there is a rule made preventing me from making pages for future content, I will make them. I don't care if it's present in someone's userpage. I won't touch their page without their permission and I won't just copy/paste what they have but the information should still be eventually moved to an official page regardless of announcement.
I mean to say both current and any newly created categories. I should've corrected myself ages ago :/
But dude, what the hell is the point of making a page for content X. When it's already present on another page? That's useless and pointless.
Not just that, if there are people who actually deserv to make Ninja skill pages, it's Mikaya and or Tsukuyomai. They dug up all that info and posted it somewhere accessible but non-official.
I wouldn't go as far as saying a person is "more deserving" to make the page(s) than another, but other than that, I agree with what nise said. Mika and Tsukuyomai already have the information on their respective pages, so for you to make the pages from scratch is completely redundant.
Why do you think sandboxes exist? >_>
@Yinato
^This is what I disagree with, but I have no jurisdiction on her user sub pages nor do I think I should. I respect that, but that doesn't answer my question.
@Nise Panda
All I am saying is, if she doesn't move it to a non-user subpage before then, I will make my own page regardless of Nexon's announcing it or not, so long as I am within the boundaries of the rules.
And what's this about "deserving" to make a page? Like its some sort of honor? Information is information, it doesn't matter who gets credit for it. And she's not the only one who is digging up information, if that's where you're getting this concept of "deserving" from.
@Lexis
Again, this only applies to your versions of the skill pages, right? There has been no rule banning other people from recreating the skill pages from scratch on a non-sub userpage?
Nothing is being enforced. I'm not sure where you got the impression that there's some rule or anything regarding that. I've already stated my opinion on content from other regions and I'll say it again (as clear as possible):
As. An. NA. Wiki. We. Should. Focus. More. On. NA. Content. Foreign. Content. Is. Okay. So. Long. It. Gets. Changed. Later. To. Match. NA. Patch. Notes. Period.
Region. Exclusive. Content. Should. Not. Belong. On. The. Main. Pages. Nor. Should. They. Exist. As. Main. Pages. Period.
It just seems like you're only making foreign/future/unreleased content pages for the sake of making them. You have an odd obsession with them, especially when this is an NA wiki. If you love foreign content so much, go play on other servers or edit their wikis. or go on forum boards and be the first one to make threads about said content.
But I repeat, there's no god damned point in making a page that will not serve any use what so ever until the content is officially out and or announced, when it already exists on accessible pages.
Making a page for a skill that may die(e.i. Berserker) and be never used, seems pointless.
Your list is currently very confusing to read. When you say "X but not Y", are you saying X is snarable but Y is not, or X is unsnarable but Y is not?
It'd be clearer if one appeared in the snarable list, and one appeared in the unsnarable list.
Gonna use golems as an example. All of the golems can't be snared. I only found 2 golems that can be and they are the exception to the rule. Only reason I have a notable list of snarable monster is because it is seriously out of the ordinary and doesn't look like it will be effective, such as...Glas for example who is clearly 2x larger than the average golem.
Merely I'm saying Group X can not be snared, but there are exceptions to the rule. I don't know if you are making heads or tails out of what I am saying.
If you want other people to be able to add to this list, you'll want to be explicit on what is "known snarable" and what is "known unsnarable". Using Golems, as an example, I highly doubt you've tested every Golem that will ever exist. The way it currently is, there's no way of knowing which Golems you've actually checked.
Of course, if you don't want to share this list, that's a whole other story, but I doubt that's the case.
Now that I think about it, the best course of action would probably be to have a "snarable" flag in the monster template with "yes", "no", or blank to indicate that specific monster.
If you're saying mention every possible unsnarable golem, then I'd have quite a hefty list. I kinda want my list to be simplistic, only stating the specific monsters/groups that can not be snared. There will be some exceptions and it should be noted.
Even though the list is gravely incomplete, mind if I take it and create Puppet's Snare/Unsnareable Monsters List?
figuring out the equation.
Anything above 358(Phys. P)/357(Mag. P) is 100.
Whether these are the numbers the servers use for calculation is an entirely different story.
Excel's logarithmic regression isn't smart enough to figure it out. And WolframAlpha gives me a cubic curve, which still has error.
