Talk:Golem

From Mabinogi World Wiki

For the record, the "earthquake-like attack" is called "Stomp". Giants get it in the later generations.

Stomp - tread heavily on something: to bring a foot down heavily on something or somebody with the intention of causing damage or injury
Since the golem's smash is a stomp animation, and the "earthquake-like attack" that I've seen it use is a arm/fist/appendage slam animation, you can't really call it a stomp. But whatever, just adding my thoughts on this
~Phaedroth

I think we should still have Tabhartas in the golem page and the Tabhartas so i will add him.

Black golem

Is Golem (black) really black? It looks more like it's brown or golden color. Fifty 19:57, 19 May 2008 (PDT)

I'm Not sure about that, but the "Golem (Small Black)" looks more Greenish than Black User:MasterRyan 5:48 PM, December 13, 2008 (EST)

rest

u no how its just a pile of rocks before someone goes near it? im pretty shure thats the rest skill, since it regains hp a lot faster when its like that -Sozen Cratos Focker 02:39, 21 May 2008

Yes, I already put rest as their skills for a few of them. I guess I'll put it in for the rest. --Fifty 06:42, 21 May 2008 (PDT)

the golem in ciar normal uses windmill allot more often iv it is atacked with magic, but i dont no if thats true for the other golems. does annybody no if thats true for the other ones?Sozen Cratos Focker 10:34, 3 July 2008 (PDT)

U make a good point i did not relize that was windmill till just now thank you ~hawk400206

ceo golem

near the end of g2, when u talk 2 seumas, he refers the ceo island golems as "fire golems" maybe we should change the neme here.

Item Update

Added Criminal's Ski Mask to item pool. --Stilva 14:42, 12 August 2008 (PDT)

Tabhartas and Heavy Stander

Tabhartas has some level of Heavy Stander, though it rarely works, so I would guess level 1? --Xetrina 15:29, 23 September 2008 (UTC)

What i think about it, your right. Also why isnt the Golem Page for Tabhartus doesnt say it has Heavy Stander but it does? ~ Shadowboy132

Ceo Golem's Stats

Someone wrote that Ceo Golems have a medium aggro range/speed and are single aggro. This is not true, as when I suicidally windmilled about 6 of them at once, I got mobbed by all six within a few seconds. I changed this -_- --Fruitrecruit

= Ceo Island Golem

I think these have counter attack, as one was walkign around when my pet smahsed it, then the pet got knocked back and killed instead of the golem being knocked back.

This happens sometimes when a Golem manages to load and use Windmill right before you hit it; you get hit by its Windmill and thrown back but the Golem doesn't do its spinning-around-flying-apart Windmill animation, so it just looks like Counterattack. --Naiya 03:43, 11 January 2009 (UTC)

also, if it was walking around, its definately not counter. maybe it was just normal atack.

The golem was after a different person, though. And the pet was just summoned out. --Hakumei 5:11 PM. 11 January, 2009 (PST)

maybe its "intuition"?Sozen Cratos Focker 07:23, 14 March 2009 (UTC)

I agree with sozen, it does sound like intuition. It is even listed on the page if you check out the link added. slayer1o1

windmill rank

"all golems have rank 1 windmill, judging from the radius"? i think that should be removed for now. golem wm radius is huge because the golem is huge. we shoud atleast try to calculate their windmills damage multiplier before we put up an ASSUMPTION like that on the page. Sozen Cratos Focker 07:30, 14 March 2009 (UTC)

I've let myself get bashed to death quite a few times checking regular damage against wm damage, and it's definitely not r1. I'm pretty sure it just has the upped radius from it's size. --Fracture

Ciar Beginner golem

Once it transforms into its huge version, I think I've noticed it has level 1 mana refractor, can anyone confirm this? ~Kefka

New Layout

Is the new layout something required or is it just something that is slowly being added. I cant spead for everyone else, but i like the original layout better. And its like impossible (cant figure out how) to replicate the format. The original is much easier to follow i think.

You are not required to help with this at all. --Kevin (•Talk•) 02:35, 8 April 2009 (UTC)
its not that i dont want to help, its just that the format for the table was confusing untill I knew how to change the stuff. I would be glad to help now that i have really given it a chance. just let me known what needs to be done. side point, is it required or is it just a new look? slayer1o1 00:06, 9 April 2009 (UTC)

You need a different mark for the iria enemys though since there not considered fomors enemys. :3 ~ Hikarixz

What did I do wrong?

I was trying to convert the small black golem to the new format, but i dont know what i did wrong, can someone tell me please. slayer1o1 02:04, 11 April 2009 (UTC)

Got it to work.

The code on the page: http://wiki.mabinogiworld.com/index.php?title=Golem&action=edit&section=2

The code for the data: http://wiki.mabinogiworld.com/index.php?title=Template:DataMonsterGolem_(Small_Black)

You have to make a new page for each set of data. -- Ladywinter 02:26, 11 April 2009 (UTC)

So then where do you put the table, i dont see the data on either page. slayer1o1 13:41, 11 April 2009 (UTC)

Boss Rush Golem

I noticed that sometimes, after it uses Life Drain, it follows up with an explosion. Can anyone say what that is, whether it's a glitch, part of Life Drain, or a completely different skill altogether? --Zephyre 16:52, 11 May 2009 (UTC)

I noticed this too, it looked like the monsters affected by Life Drain took 200 damage each after all the drain. I think it's part of Life Drain, since if you look at the Life Drain alchemy skill for players, there's a stat called "Knockback damage"...which is a good way to sum up what the golem does.

Since two people saw it, it probably wasn't a rare glitch, if one at all.

Small Golem

Is it just me or did small golem disapear from this list. -- Ember Incubus

Small Golem. The link to their page is provided at the top of the Golem page. <.< --Aramet 20:08, 31 July 2009 (UTC)

For no reason at all...

Small Golem was set to redirect to here, while small golem is it's, or was, it's own classification

Sulfur Golems? Really?

With the NA release of G8, players have flocked to the sulfur pits. Personally, I was dissapointed. There are no golems here. Where did the Sulfur Golem come from? I've seen a video with them, but in-game I see none. BladeBlade 21:02, 15 October 2009 (UTC)

They didn't implement the monkeys in the Hot Springs, either. I'll move it back to future content. --Aramet (Talk) 21:10, 15 October 2009 (UTC)
I think that sulfur Golems, like mimics, cannot be targeted when they are resting, so maybe you just can't see them?--Sozen Cratos Focker 21:22, 15 October 2009 (UTC)
They came in G8S2 iirc. When the sulfur golems are there they are very obvious and make it very difficult to mine for fossils unless you get them pinned behind a rock. ---Angevon (Talk) 13:49, 16 October 2009 (UTC)
Eeep. Is it kinda like a field boss, or are they just like...... there? What a hassle if they'd be a natural spawn...--♫тιиα♪ταιқ♪ 01:59, 4 November 2009 (UTC)

They appear randomly. I can say for sure they appeared, and I encountered them just now... They're still there as of this post. Also, I noticed that they drop alot of Sulfer Ores, but that is not in the Wiki, so it should be added... I tried, but I dunno how. =p Yuuka 03:04, 12 December 2009 (UTC)

Actually... Im not sure if theyre a random thing. There was a person who said they appeared, but he said he could have just not noticed them before they jumped him. Theyve been there an awful long time for a random field boss. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Yuuka (talkcontribs) . They're a common field spawn at the sulfur mines now. They just weren't released for forever. I've actually noticed a really high drop rate of Fossils off the things while mining them. Anyway, safe to say they're here now and I'm satisfied. --BladeBlade 08:46, 12 December 2009 (UTC)
Really? Ive tried mining a few, and it just keeps tellin me that I cant see anything there... --Yuuka 14:08, 13 December 2009 (UTC)

Just to clear things up, the release notes I read said they came around G8S3 or S4, the initial release of G8 only went up to S2.--Mystickskye 11:12, 12 December 2009 (UTC)

I don't know how to add this to the page, but could someone add that sulfur golems drop Fossil Coolection Vol. 2? --Iikuu 10:38, 12 December 2009 (UTC)

Seems that 5 fossils can be mined before they run out, at which they have the maximum lowered protection (I'm assuming 0). This implies each mining reduces 15 protection, anyone wanna follow up on this and confirm? Make sure you do this on a freshly spawned golem, cuz the fact that other people mine 'em would produce error. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Nightmagex (talkcontribs) . As of late, I realized that a few suflur golems have a really low damage outputs. My character had no special equipment, not even as much as a shield. Yet the golem were only able to hit 1's. Anyone else encounter this? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Ichikio (talkcontribs) . Please always sign your comments with the Signature.png button or by typing ~~~~!

Aye, I was constantly hit for 1s by two golems. I looked at the race.xml file and there's 2 types of Sulfur Golems, one with the ClassName of "Aggressive_SulfurGolem" and another with "SulfurGolem". --Berkt 23:43, 4 January 2010 (UTC)
Yeah they hit ones... May I suggest we change this? Darkblade132 01:55, 19 February 2010 (UTC)

I'm not sure if anyone else has noticed this but the drop rate for fossils from the Sulfur Golems seems to have decreased greatly. Before when they first came out they used to drop like 5 fossils but now its hard to get 1-2 fossils from newly spawned (yes i had to kill the ones that were already emptied but not killed)--Lighthalzen 05:41, 2 February 2010 (UTC)

I've also noticed that they still aggro you and follow you around even if you use a flying mount Nandattebayo 11:04, 17 February 2010 (UTC)

Heavy Stander

Since when do golems have heavy stander?? Last I checked they only had Lv2 Mana shield and magnum shot, moreover, the HS is unranked. I am removing this on all the old ones for now.--Neouu84 21:07, 25 February 2011 (UTC)

Revamped Fiodh Golem HP

Small Golem (Moss) seems to have over 60,000 HP after revamp (survived 3 Lightning Rods at about 21k damage average). Would anyone be able to confirm its exact HP?

The Golem has 60,000 CP on Intermediate Alban and 30,000 CP on Basic Alban.

Fiodh Small Golems

They're both classified as Forest Golems, I think. Is a renaming in order?

Infodude575 (talk)10:58, 7 April 2013

Though they're called "Small Golem" in-game, even if they are classified as forest golems.

Shouldn't we call the Moss one "Small Golem (Forest)"?

I've tested all the golems in the Other Alchemist mission and even on Basic, they are all freeze immune.

Beach of Scathach Golems

I remember before when I fought the golems there they never had any passives for melee attacks...

Dra6o0n (talk)20:09, 2 September 2012

I fought with one, they seem to have no heavy stander, they have a level 2 deflector to avoid being frozen by ice blast, and extremely short stun when hit with ranged. Crystal golem might have no heavy stander, level 2 deflector and natural.

Dra6o0n (talk)11:54, 3 September 2012

After fighting one for 15 minutes, a Amethyst Golem can't be poisoned by my Venom Sword... Either it has poison resist or it's CP is so extremely high that 100 hits with my sword results in 0% chance to poison.

Dra6o0n (talk)23:53, 6 September 2012

PoisonImmune="100"

There you go.

=.= It wasn't listed on the specs for the Golem... I also think it has Level 2 Deflect and Level 2 Ranged Passives, with zero Heavy Stander.

Dra6o0n (talk)23:58, 6 September 2012

Doubt anyone's even tried to look into it until now. I'll check on the PDs.

Both rank 9 NS and MD with no HS.

I fought them several times, with both humans and elf, I meleed a crystal and amethyst golem from time to time and not once have it pinged. I shot arrows at it and it always ping and it's stun was like 50% faster. I shot ice spear at it only for it to remain moving after being hit.

The golems here seems to be designed for fighters in mind, to make it so only melee attacks, not poison, not magic, not ranged, can hurt it greatly. I changed the passive on the Amethyst Golem a while back.

And I fought the Amethyst golem a few minutes ago.

Dra6o0n (talk)00:02, 7 September 2012

If I'm reading this right, you can lower Amethyst Golems' protection by hitting it with knuckles or blunt weapons. Blunt -3, Knuckles -2

What? I've never heard of that mechanic before! Hmm so final hit with knuckles might be the only way to lower their prot and hurt them in the long run maybe.

Dra6o0n (talk)00:05, 7 September 2012

Uhm. Giant golden spider's protection lowers with counterattack.

Giant Golden Spider was probably a special monster in that case, because I've never seen the damage rise for the Amethyst golem after I countered it so many times too... My smashes does 200 damage, my venom sword hits it for 20... And my base damage is like 121-213 and I have rank 4 counter. If it's prot dropped I'd would have noticed when I use charge -> normal attacks and smashes...

Dra6o0n (talk)00:07, 7 September 2012

I didn't say Golem's prot drops with counter. I was giving an example of another use of the mechanics of prot dropping.

Oh, then I'll go test out to see if knuckles does lower the golem's prot... Btw, I was fighting a Ancient variant of it. Plus, Nexon sure loves to mess with me because it dropped... NOTHING!

Dra6o0n (talk)00:10, 7 September 2012

You have no idea how many countless ancients I've killed that've dropped nothing. :l

... Nope! Final hit with knuckles does nothing to it, it's damage never increased more than 18 max. Meaning knuckles hitting it won't lower it's prot unless you use the uppercut. And this was me using final hit and punching it 30 times in a row. My attempts stopped after a charged strike triggered it's windmill and I had to run. I can't understand how people hit 200-300 on Ancient Golems with regular attacks :|

Dra6o0n (talk)00:20, 7 September 2012

It probably doesn't have much protection , then. 8D

I do 74~170 with my knuckles and the highest damage value I saw was 18 when I used final hit. 170 = 18 damage, so it has roughly 89% protection and 0 defense. Or 70~80 protection and whatever remaining is defense. So 70% prot means 51/170 damage minus defense, so 33 defense?

So to do 18 damage with my 170 total, it needs to have a 33/70 def/prot ratio. Or if it's prot is 80% it would be 16/80 def/prot ratio.

Dra6o0n (talk)00:37, 7 September 2012

Or maybe it just has a hell of a high amount of defense. o3o.

Seriously, if it had high defense and low protection I would have crit it when I punched it with my upgraded hoodlum bear knuckles 30 times. The amount of prot needed to stop my crit in it's track is 50%. After that the defense can remove the remaining damage to 18.

So 50% prot means 170 damage reduced to 85. Then 67 defense to turn 85 damage to 18 damage max. Btw, the ancient title adds +10 def and +10 protection to it. So it might be 70% protection and ancient increases it to 80% with +10 defense...
