Re: well actually...
Two moderators who have helped me in the past are User:Aramet and User:Angevon but I'm sure most of the others are just as helpful. If you need to talk to the moderators then leave a message in either's talk (i.e., discussion) page and I'm sure they will pass it on (if they consider it worth while lol). Otherwise I dont know of a way to talk to them as a group and not to all users. I use the Question and Answer page and its more often than not that moderators reply to a question or suggestion regarding the wiki. --ZRoc 15:22, 3 August 2009 (UTC)
- No-one is in charge of anything, people join in and leave (usually when things are only half done XD) as they please. Moderators are there to check things are consistent with rest of wiki (users who are not moderatotrs do this as well) and to stop abuse (they're quick to respond to that). They know a lot but there are also normal users who know a lot. If you think you have a good idea then ask if people want to do it on the Question and Answer page. The wiki works by consensus, with the moderators having final veto, so asking them will probably result in you being asked to go to the Question and Answer page. I so like the idea of having plenty of free time, lucky you. --ZRoc 17:48, 3 August 2009 (UTC)
- PS if what you want to do does not alter what is already there (that is, your creating your own pages and/or catagories and not changing existing ones then just do it and see what happens. If the mods dont like it they will delete it. --ZRoc 18:01, 3 August 2009 (UTC)
- PPS if what you want to do exists then go to that page's history tab and see who worked on it most recently and has done the most contributions. Go talk to that person, see if they like your ideas and they may even help you. --ZRoc 18:01, 3 August 2009 (UTC)
- I dont know much about dyeing but that sounds like a great idea. I would suggest you ask on Q&A just as you did on my talk page. --ZRoc 18:06, 3 August 2009 (UTC)
Dye Templates
If you haven't changed your table to the style Angevon suggested in Q&A maybe this will help? Also, if your going to add them then probably putting it under the "[Item Type Name] Grades" section would be the most relevant place to have it, e.g., in the Becky Witch Dress example that would be under the "Clothing Grades" section. --ZRoc 15:12, 10 August 2009 (UTC)
- I think it looks good but it should still have its own section heading, i.e.,
Clothing Grades
Type | Defense | Protection | Durability |
---|---|---|---|
Original | 2 | 0 | 10 |
Dye Template
Equipment Dye | Part A | Part B | Part C |
---|---|---|---|
Clothing | Cloth | Leather | Cloth |
Repair Costs
Success Rate | Cost |
---|---|
94% | ?g |
98% | 895g |
- Note that I don't use dyes much at all so I'm only guessing 'Dye Template' is a suitable name for the section. If your happy with it then try using it and if someone complains, or wonders what your doing, then explain why you think its important to that person on their User talk (discussion) page. Even if an admin deletes it they may not realise what its for, so have a polite chat with them and see if you can change their mind. By the way, please only leave messages for me on User talk:ZRoc which is my user account's discussion page. User talk:ZRoc/Test_Page doesn't tell me if I have a new message but User talk:ZRoc does. Also, I only use User:ZRoc/Test_Page when I test stuff and I dont think about checking it's discussion page. Just click on the (talk) after my user name to go to the correct discussion page (I just figured out how to add it to my signature lol) --ZRoc (talk) 21:21, 11 August 2009 (UTC)
- What ZRoc said, but also, you should definitely make a page that shows all the example pictures of the different palettes (I've seen you upload some of them), and have the table link to its picture that page. Like, have the word "Leather" in the table link to the leather palette picture page. If you need help working out how to do that, I'm willing. ---Angevon 22:30, 11 August 2009 (UTC)
- That looks good to me but I would name the palette description pages with 'Dye Palette' added, e.g., rename the 'Leather' to 'Leather Dye Palette' and then to link to the page use Leather which displays as Leather (the link will be blue instead of red when the Leather Dye Palette page is created). Using just Leather is not very informative (not that all page titles are lol) and saves you having to write those "If you are looking for..." lines. If you don't know how I will change the page names for you (Cloth, Leather, Nylon and Pixie are all I could find). Otherwise, I think you should use it. --ZRoc (talk) 00:56, 12 August 2009 (UTC)
- I was thinking of having them all on the same page, that way people can see the differences between palettes easier. ---Angevon 01:00, 12 August 2009 (UTC)

If you put the palettes on a single page and have each of them in their own section then you can link directly to a section. For example, if you call your page 'Dye Palettes' and have a section called 'Leather Dye Palette' then you can directly link to the section and have only 'Leather' displayed by using;
Leather

Dye Palettes
Hi there, not sure about this but I wanted to bring this to your attention. Giant based clothing seems to get a different palette. It's very similar to the standard leather palette but with splashes of colour in it. I myself was confused upon seeing it but according to my friend shows up for all the giant-only clothing she's tried dying. I tried resetting the dye palette several times but they all pretty much look like that. --Mystickskye 02:15, 12 August 2009 (UTC)
Hi again, I was dying my Giant Wolf Robe when I found another palette which whilst similar is distinctly different to the other palettes as of yet. Clicky. What do you think? All three sections of the Giant Wolf Robe (section a: main robe, section b: fur trim, section c: wolf head) all use the same palette.--Mystickskye 03:16, 31 January 2010 (UTC)
- I reset the palette several times but it always turned out like that (as you can see, it's distinctly different from the standard giant palette or the leather palette in both shape and colour). Dyelite shows that pure black is present in a rather large quantity (I can get triple blacks or even more through manual selection without trying too hard)though other usually sought after colours aren't (No pure white anywhere, checked multiple times). So far the other gear I've checked (which admittedly has not been much) uses other palettes but if I can get some more dye amps I'll do some more checking.--Mystickskye 05:32, 2 February 2010 (UTC)

Hello. :) If you still have the outfit, can you retake and reupload the images you took for the Riding Suit? Our policy states that you must turn off the glow effect when taking pictures that present an item. --Aramet (Talk) 21:11, 13 August 2009 (UTC)

Karis Wizard Suit
You added the Karis Wizard Suit to the Special Clothing List. I'm sorry but I had to delete it. The 'Mana Usage Reduction 4 Increase' for the Karis Wizard Suit is an Equipment Combination Effect not a magic Passive Defense property (i.e., Auto-Defense (Magic) x.xx%). This list is only for those clothing items that have magic Passive Defense properties. Note mana reduction is a decrease in the amount of mana to cast a spell and the Karis Wizard Suit requires other equipment before the mana reduction actually works. The magic Passive Defense property is an increase of a players defense against magic attacks and the percentage represents the chance of it actually activating against a magic attack. --ZRoc (Talk) 15:25, 29 August 2009 (UTC)
- No problem (have a nice sleep) XD --ZRoc (Talk) 06:58, 30 August 2009 (UTC)
- I didn't know you were not allowed to, I know your not allowed to delete stuff from other people's talk pages. Perhapes a user's own talk page acts as a reference to what is being discussed (as evidence so someone can say "LOOK ITS ON YOUR TALK PAGE, YOU SAID..." XD). If you want a page to test stuff on that can be deleted then create "User:Miyani/Test Page" (name it what you want, you just need the "User:Miyani/" in front). That page will be a sub-page of your user page and you can do (within reason lol) what you like on it (delete to your hearts content). --ZRoc (Talk) 07:35, 30 August 2009 (UTC)
4 dye palette image
In the Dye Ampoule section of the Dyes page is an image showing 4 of the dye palettes and it appears you added the image. As there is now a fifth dye palette, the Pixie Dye Palette, perhapes you may want to change that image to include it. No rush, just do it when you have time... that's code for "Do it now!" (joking) XD --ZRoc (Talk) 09:38, 30 August 2009 (UTC)
- Not on your Dye Palettes page but on the Dyes page. There is a single image showing 4 of the palettes but it doesn't include the Pixie dye palette. You must be tired cause the link I gave the first time says Dyes. See, that's why you can't delete stuff from your talk page, so I can poke fun at you =P --ZRoc (Talk) 12:55, 30 August 2009 (UTC)

Dye Palettes Revisited
Hey there, I just wanted to know if you're still interested in this project. Also, do you know if there is there an easy way to find the info for which palette is used for which item and part instead of actually going in-game and trying to dye every item manually? I really like the dye palette table idea, but it will be a huge project unless there's a faster way to get the info. Also, what do you think about combining it with a description of what parts of the item are dyeable? I think another row to your table will be perfect for this. ---Angevon 02:20, 27 September 2009 (UTC)
Pretty Colors
Hehe, just stopping by :o
But I'm really liking what you did there, with the dye colors and all :3. Though.. *points to what Angevon said* its gonna be hard and confusing to figure out which parts of the item can be dyed, because for a rather big handful, its around 2 or 3 parts, but that still doesnt cover allt he parts of the item, or it'd be too much. Like, for the Trudy Moccasin Boots, there are two parts, I think, one that's the main color, and then another one that I still havent really found out the 'location' of, I don't believe the strings are dyeable. And then there's some where there's 3 parts, Part A, B, and C, duh, that you can dye, but then theres still a part left out thats unbale to be dyed. Also *points to what Angevon said a bit earlier*, for most, it should be kind of obvious, or at least partially obvious...okaynevermind. Well, the metal parts are...somewhat obvious, I guess. Bleh, I'm going to try to think this through before I type of the rest of the novel-sized speech..thing. Again, great work so far ^^--♪♫♪♫ѕταя♪♫♪♫ταιқ♪♫♪ 23:07, 29 September 2009 (UTC)
- Yupyup, and, no offense or anything, but, your little color blotches... aren't symmetrical. D: (though, of course, being blotches, they dont have to be)
Speaking of which, are you just going to stick with those 3 color blotches, and try to 'dye' the icon according to those three colors? And no offense or anything, and they're fine as they are, but the blue and cyan are somewhat (far.) close, so maybe something like.. (I was going to say black, white, and some other obnoxious color, but that wouldn't really help with much.) uh.. the primary colors? :D Red, blue, and green/yellow?:o *coming up with a lot of random unneeded ideas*--♪♫♪♫ѕταя♪♫♪♫ταιқ♪♫♪ 19:46, 30 September 2009 (UTC)
- o.o? A notes box? *attempts to skim/read through this wall of text I conjured up right here* eh...huh? o.o;;;;; Eh.. I'll try to come up with some random other ideas that might help, but I doubt anything I'll come up with will be 'advanced' enough to use (as stated on my user page, Im still technically a kid, who spends a lot more time than necissary on the computer, and can't even spell words right :D) Right now, I'm attempting to be a decent animator, but I am very obsessed with pixel art for reasons unknown..*some more irrelevant facts* But...yea, I probably wouldnt be the one to ask for help on something like this, unless its something like just replacing all the pictures *has too much yet too little time on my hands*--♪♫♪♫ѕταя♪♫♪♫ταιқ♪♫♪ 19:51, 1 October 2009 (UTC)
- The buttons, as in the blotches? *shrug* I guess *seriously has too much time on my hands* would you mind if I like.. "overwrote" it, or would you prefer for me to make a seperate file thingy completely?
- *totally ignored the fact that I asked the questions rofl* Umm... I think I made the outline on 'Blob-B' too dark DX, and I attempted to make the outline on the cyan one two colors, because the blob itself is two colors, but it didnt turn out that great roflmao.
A, B, C. I realize it doesnt look that much rounded, but its so small, theres not really much you can do unless you want it to look like a curved diamond thing DX--♪♫♪♫ѕταя♪♫♪♫ταιқ♪♫♪ 02:12, 2 October 2009 (UTC)
- Thankies~ Clearly I didnt change the colors, they're still purple, blue, and cyan, but I'm too lazy to recolor (pixel by pixel ._.) or make my own custom spherical thingy. DX *laziness is the key cause of procrasination* But I still have yet to figure out how to make custom templates, so I can't really help you out on that. Dx Sorry ;.;--♪♫♪♫ѕταя♪♫♪♫ταιқ♪♫♪ 02:06, 3 October 2009 (UTC)
LE GASP!! *credits to Akumo cuz I think I'm going blind DX* The two parts of a 2-part shoe (...roflmao?) are probably like.. the main color, and the sole, which does make sense. :o *points to mine/his talk page*--♪♫♪♫ѕταя♪♫♪♫ταιқ♪♫♪ 14:56, 4 October 2009 (UTC)

You should post a new picture of your character in your updated Karis. It looks better now. o.o' Btw, why keep your identity hidden on wiki? Everyone on our server knows who you are, just from the Karis. x3 --Simpet 07:26, 15 October 2009 (UTC)

Large Hot-Air Balloon Kit
Hi =3 I'm just wondering why you're creating a template for this item? --ZRoc (Talk) 09:10, 16 October 2009 (UTC)
- That's OK, I couldn't see why you were making a template for it, sorry for being a stickybeak XD. You can't delete it, it has to be an admin that deletes it, but you can request that it be deleted by adding

- at the top of the page (putting a reason after "reason=" can help the admin understand why you want to delete it). --ZRoc (Talk) 09:19, 16 October 2009 (UTC)
Regarding the colors
So... I've been thinking about the dye thing. And it's been nagging me for a while, but wouldn't be it a realllyyyyyy big hassle to try to re-color the parts of clothing corresponding to the dye part? The other other subsitute I can think of that can, probably not always, but in some cases probably can be easier, is just numbering them. But then with the little itty bitty parts, like on the Becky Witch Dress, the necklace, would be hard to label. And it'd probably look pretty out of hand if there's more than 1 or 2 little arrows/lines. I really do want to see those black and white icons (no offense D:?) have a little useful color added onto them, but I'm rather worried about how complex it is, I could just be imagining it wrong, but it seems like it would take a very long time :C. Anywho, time aside, I wish you the best of luck on fulfilling that dream (well, I think its a dream. o.o) :D--♪♫♪♫тιиα♪♫♪♫ταιқ♪♫♪ 02:02, 28 October 2009 (UTC)
- o.o... What program do you use? *jealous* I still can't figure out how the recoloring thing works on Paint.NET... :C. I kinda got it, but when I try it out, it doesn't work right. D:--♪♫♪♫тιиα♪♫♪♫ταιқ♪♫♪ 20:13, 28 October 2009 (UTC)
- Ah. I'm still getting used to it. I use Paint.NET for anything small/icon-like, I don't know why. I guess I'm just the most familiar with it. Order of familiarity I have with things: Paint.NET/Paint Tool Sai (cept it expired, so I can't save in transparencies) > GIMP > Photoshop CS3. Well, Microsoft Paint would top all of those, but...lol. I'd request how to use GIMP to its full extent, but I hardly use it, so I probably won't even put the knowledge into practice, assuming if I haven't forgotten everything by then. I forget things easily, but I'm a decently fast learner, so I guess the way I roll is by learning things, forgetting them, relearning them, and forgetting them again. :D--♪♫♪♫тιиα♪♫♪♫ταιқ♪♫♪ 23:15, 28 October 2009 (UTC)

Premium Winter Elf (F) Images
Though this is not Angevon, I would like to comment on the comment you have left on Angevon's talk page. Though I may not be right, your pictures may have been replaced for the following reasons:
- Black/white colored sets are not allowed by the image policy.
- Bad lighting on the side and back images.
- Back view covered by hair.
Though the current images have a white colored set, reason 2 and 3 do not apply to the new set. If you would like, you may replace the images if you have a set that follows all of the image policy. --κєνıи (»тαıĸ«) 05:34, 18 January 2010 (UTC)
- About the dye table, since most pages have the dye information under the repair costs table, I would say to put it there. --κєνıи (»тαıĸ«) 05:42, 18 January 2010 (UTC)
Another Dye Palette
Apparently Coco Panda Robe part C has a special dye palette. Here for example. Looks like the sprinkles palette but with darker colors. Would you like to look into it? Not sure how you figure out all the info for the palettes, heh. --- Angevon (Talk) 21:48, 22 January 2010 (UTC)
- Oh, that sucks. Sorry you wasted a dye. I'd wait until it comes out (too bad don't know when) before adding it. --- Angevon (Talk) 02:23, 23 January 2010 (UTC)
Re: Marking pages?
Just remove the from the bottom of the item's page. Some items we have pictures for don't follow the image policy, though, so that could be why they are still in the category. --- Angevon (Talk) 14:33, 1 February 2010 (UTC)

You can move pages yourself using the "move" tab at the top of the page. Also, to add the future content tag you just type " FutureContent " at the top of the item's page. It makes the template show up there. --- Angevon (Talk) 18:17, 12 March 2010 (UTC)

re:screenshot of the crashign error
Did you try to do anything to resolve the issue yet?--Hengsheng120·TALKCONTRIBS 01:37, 13 March 2010 (UTC)
- The problem is that people are getting different kinds of errors. Some get a different message (which mostly likely means a different cause), some don't even give an error message when crashing, and some don't crash at all. Given the variations, it's most likely driver-client compatibility problems and/or mods. People who never crashed would not blame only the patch. Can you post your error log that got copied to your clipboard? Did you try downloading the whole client and installing it in a different directory? I (can only duplicate the modding errors which show no dialog but) cannot duplicate your error and some others even if i tried, so it's hard to understand the causes without access to the actual computer. But until we have useful information or official announcement, i do not believe it is necessary to post about the crash because it does not help other players due to the variation in errors, except maybe discourage people from playing. --Hengsheng120·TALKCONTRIBS 05:22, 13 March 2010 (UTC)
- Does the r57 dll replacement fix your crash? I'm getting a report that it doesn't fix continental warp and only dungeon crash. If it doesn't, i can't really see what's wrong, just post an error report with your account name and number erased. Most people (including me) don't get the warp crash in the first place though.--Hengsheng120·TALKCONTRIBS 06:05, 14 March 2010 (UTC)
Re: Problem user
Unfortunately, I can't do anything about MabinogiEU as I'm not an admin however I've passed you're message onto Angevon. Also Velocity7 vandalised your user page after you fixed MabinogiEU vandalism. It appears that the users W960i and Cyrus fixed the edits by Velocity7. A user called Sapyo vandalised the message you left on my talk page (and although you fixed it Sapyo vandalised it again and the user called W960i then undid those edits). I've checked and found that Velocity7 and Sapyo have been banned and I've suggested to Angevon that MabinogiEU be banned as well. I hope that helps. --ZRoc (Talk) 09:01, 30 March 2010 (UTC)

I'm guessing what you wanted it to look like is this:

Method of obtaining: Rafting
Visual Confirmation:
System log confirmation:
Write the position you want the image to be in (|left| |center| |right|) inside the image writing thing. It'll automatically place itself onto the right side so you won't need to type that part it.

RE: a couple of proposals
I don't know how to edit what appears on the upload page. Maybe ask IJ.
What specifically do you want to add to the image policy? We already have "Be taken at a large enough resolution so that the equipment's details may be viewed on the full picture (after the image thumbnail is clicked)." which is what I think you mean.
The confirmation table is for what comes from events? It probably won't need the "method" column if it will be used on a specific event's page. I definitely like the idea. --- Angevon (Talk) 22:39, 4 April 2010 (UTC)
- Do you mean like for dye details? Like when all three parts are dyed the same color, it's hard to know which are the different dyable parts? --- Angevon (Talk) 01:38, 5 April 2010 (UTC)

The smaller size (with 150px height) is the one we are using with the template and it does not differentiate between gloves/clothes/headgear/etc. If the size on the template was kept like on the admiral coat page (200px), the non-clothes pictures would be HUGE. The 150px height is mainly a compromise between the two sizes we were using before the template (100px for non-clothes and 200px for clothes). Unless a template wizard changes the template or makes a new one just for non-clothes or something, this is how it is. --- Angevon (Talk) 14:47, 4 October 2010 (UTC)

Hi Miyani! | 0 | 21:39, 29 September 2021 |
I thought original colors were preferred on stuff like this?
And by the way...welcome back? I feel like you're a name that's been gone for a while...
From what i understood from previous edits non black colors are preferred unless it's a fixed black. Things might've changed though. And thank you that was sweet, i went on hiatus for awhile with all the issues in game but decided to put some effort into the wiki.
Hi, You seemed knowledgeable and nice so I thought I would bother you a bit.. I've searched and searched the wiki, help sites, and edit pages but I can't figure out how to make my uploaded images appear or link back to the page they're supposed to be on.. I'm trying to make images for the Pop Star Set, and I got the files uploaded, but they won't show up. I've been trying to compare the edit pages between the Cute Metal Stud Set and the pictures there but they look the same to me.. I just can't figure out where the code goes.. much less the correct code to put there :(.. x.x help?? Thanks! <3
