Act 7: Climactic Crash
Description
Details
- Requires a summoned Pierrot Marionette or Colossus Marionette and a control bar equipped.
- The marionette must be under the influence of Control Marionette.
- The player charges the skill by holding the skill's hotkey and directs the marionette with the mouse. Upon releasing the hotkey, the marionette charges into the direction it is sent, attacking and knocking down any enemies within range.
- Pierrot Marionettes charges forward with a mallet whirlwind.
- Colossus Marionettes perform a full body charge into the direction it is sent with both arms reaching out.
- Enemies are knocked back in the direction of the charge. If an enemy is still within range after being knocked back, the enemy can be hit multiple times for up to three hits.
- Generally, enemies will only be hit up to two times due to the second hit causing a knockdown and granting the enemy temporary immunity. Using a pet with an area of effect summon effect that resets the Knockdown Gauge such as Bone Dragon or Pegasus or triggering the enemy's melee Auto Defense will allow the skill to hit a target up to three times.
- Critical Hit calculation for each 'hit' is separate.
- The control bar loses durability three times regardless whether an enemy is hit, but does not increase in proficiency.
- The slope and height of the terrain affects the skill's aim.
- Act 7: Climactic Crash can only be used when fully charged. Failing to completely charge the skill or being interrupted will result it canceling and place it in a three second cooldown.
- The screen will flash white, signaling that the skill has been fully charged.
- Holding the skill even after fully charge will continue to drain stamina.
- The marionette will temporarily gain Advanced Heavy Stander for the duration of the charge.
- Act 7: Climactic Crash causes all impacted enemies to aggro the marionette.
- If the marionette hits an obstacle, the animation will end.
- The marionette's position is still located at the start of this skill until its animation ends. As a result, enemies can target and attack the marionette at that area.
- The marionette will be disconnected if it is outside of Control Marionette range, after charging.
- If the marionette moves out of control range before the skill finishes, hits done outside of control range will use the puppet's damage/critical/balance without the benefit of Control Marionette.
- Ignores the target's protection for calculating critical rate.
- Knockdown is ignored by Advanced Heavy Stander.
- Ignores Defense skill, Counterattack, Lance Counter, Combo: Counter Punch, and Melee Auto Defense's knockback negation.
- Does not hit Barrier Spikes and are treated as mere obstacles.
- Unlike other act skills, Act 7: Climactic Crash can be used even if an obstacle separates the player and the marionette, so as long as the marionette can reach the target.
- Unlike other melee skills, Act 7: Climactic Crash is a distance-based skill and therefore aims for the center of the target's hitbox. As a result, monsters with very large hitboxes, such as the Giant Spider, may be difficult to target properly.
- Each successful use will increase the marionette's Spirit Gauge by 8%.
- The Spirit Gauge will increase even if no enemies are hit.
Skill Issues
- When used, especially against a wall, the marionette may become 'stuck' and become immobile after the impact. Dismiss the marionette in order to get rid of the glitch.
- Act 7: Climactic Crash may sometimes go right through an enemy without hitting them. This happens more often on mobile targets.
- There have been instances when the marionette goes through obstacles.
