Mongoose

Basic Information

• They never aggro first and never even notice a player.
• They tend to cancel Defense rather quickly after they activate it.
• They walk away from the player when they are using Smash or Defense.
• If your lag is low, you can follow up your initial Smash with a normal combo by running after it when it goes flying.
• Windmill causes them to delay. They may be susceptible to the WM+Counter combo.
• You may even try a Smash + N+WM + N combo.
• Many have Monster Titles depending on location.
• Successfully taming one grants a temporarily stat boost of +3 Max HP and +2 Max Stamina to the player.

Notes & Advice Notes Despawns after ten minutes. Upon successfully sketching it, you will receive 134.75 Exploration EXP (+26.95 if it is nighttime). Very high HP and protection. Advice High ranked Frozen Blast can lower their protection and allow free hits. Frozen Blast must be at least rank 9 or higher to work. Life Drain will also bypass their defenses and deal full damage easily. Using poison from a pet with Poison Attack or a weapon using a Poison Potion or Poison Herb will also deplete their health quickly early on. Windmill will cause them to freeze for a few seconds, allowing a followup with Smash.
