This page needs to be organized and I'd like feedback on this layout. Yay or nay?
I think we should just link to the bottle page. There are way over 100 different flashies in the well, but they cover the same color pattern. We could isolate the the basic colors of each flashy, and format it in a way that you can apply each color set to the kind of sequence it gives. Like, I have 25 different patterned/speed yellow to black flashies here, and we could just say Yellow > Brown > Black then say in the description area that all dyes listed can be Slow Fade, Two-Tone, etc. I have no idea how to explain some of these patterns. Perhaps we can have a sample Gif list of several different kinds.
I'm honestly not sure why we even bothered adding the dye well flashies. I'm up for removing them, adding them sounds like a hassle tbh.
I have 3 flashy dyes with the same hexcode but different flash code...basically there's practically a near infinite amount, but Meru is right about the colors always being the same set of colors...Rarely do you ever find a pulse flashy from these. Listing them is a hassle, so I vote for removal and just say "generate a random flashy dye"
Out of the 8, 6 are colors, 2 are for flashy/dye type. Anyways, this is borderline to the "no modspeak" policy and must not be spoken of again. I was just pointing out that same colors ≠ same flashy.
Are they actually random? I imagine we've collected enough to make some generalizations. That said there are a lot of dyes. Also the dye colour format is known including the flashies (cause RGB is obvious of course). (It isn't mod talk to talk about data!)
I'm sure it's random to some degree. Besides, you can't even see hex/rgb on flashy dyes by normal means so I assumed that it was modtalk...ahahaha...There are probably well over a million combinations that come from the dye jars. They probably use the same color hex for sequences that are the same, but it's randomized by the flashy code. I can't confirm this right now, but down the line I'll check it out.
Not entirely random, some of them have the same colors but I have never seen any two identical flashies.
Some of them also tend to have rather odd color choices.
I just noticed it :I But my gif may be moving faster than I intended for it to.
I wonder what goes in Korea's mind while making these dyes?
"We could go faster."
"Damn right we could!"
I remember in the forums someone addressed the problem and asked for a flashy disable button.
Can we PLEASE separate it to different pages for each item? I'm tired of being redirected here when I want to look at individual item pages.
Great, so my question is, where do we draw the line? Should we move everything to its own page or keep a central dye page?
- The Wand Custom Color Dye Ampoule section can get its own page.
- The Mini Dye Ampoule section can get its own page.
- The Spirit Weapon Custom Color Dye Ampoule can get its own page.
- Fixed dyes can be split into several different pages?
- The Fixed Color Metal Dye Ampoule can get its own page.
- The Color Metal Dye Ampoule shouldn't even be considered a dye, more like a dye gachapon.
- The Metal Dye Ampoule section can get its own page.
- The Dye Ampoule section can get its own page.
The problem I see with these sections is that too many of these reference eachother, they don't act as stand-alones.
The flashy section is missing a lot of the newer flashies.. If I knew how to make/edit gif's I'd contribute. :x
"Fixed Color Metal Dye Ampoules can be obtained after a rebirth via Tin (Human, Tir), Ffion (Human, Iria), Vena (Elf), or Meriel (Giant).
You must select "Rebirth at (respective race location)" at the Rebirth screen to be able to talk to the corresponding NPC. (You must have a Basic Character Card or Premium Character Card to change your rebirth location.)
Fixed Color Metal Dye Ampoules can also be obtained via Fixed Dye Gachapon. "
I'm pretty sure this information isn't correct, but I'm not positive so I didn't remove it.
Isn't that kinda important information? I didn't realize Dye Ampoules expired, myself, until I bought one today. T-T So how long do the Ampoules last from its purchase?
Um, perhaps. The one I bought was off of another player. So I wasn't in a position to know if all dyes expired, nor could I know the full extent of how long it lasted.
All the same, there should probably be a note in here somewhere saying a specific kind of dye expires in an X amount of time.
Unless you're implying all regular dye ampoules last for four days and eleven hours?
EDIT: Whoops, too eager to use the Quote template there. In any case, no, it doesn't say in the description. It says "You can paint a single part on an item with this ampoule. It disappears after a single use."
I don't see how buying it off of another player changes anything.
