Talk:Monster Titles
The Soon To Be Extinct
For "The Soon To Be Extinct" I'm fairly sure it's 300% hp, but I have yet to actually count the health. This was just a comparison between how long it took me to kill a normal White Kiwi and one with the title, counting any criticals as the time it would normally take me to hit twice. It came out to about 3x longer for the kiwi with the title. --Fracture--
The Unknown and The Dubious
What happened to implimenting those titles in the chart? That makes this incomplete... ~ Shadowboy132
Layout
I noticed at the top that it says that stats listed as 100% stay the same, shouldn't we just leave them blank or put a dash if there is no change? It can get confusing sometimes. -Fracture
- I just put the 100% thing so that people know it's complete. Feel free to change it to however you would like. --Kevin (•Talk•) 23:49, 19 April 2009 (UTC)
Special Effects?
Perhaps there should be a section that notes special effects of monster titles? (Such as "The Awoken" making zombies able to run, or The Dubious, being larger and capable of dropping artifacts ect.)
Yes, specifically the snow zombies in Par Ice Crystal.--Kingrussel 09:01, 28 April 2009 (UTC)

Bug?
I am unsure about that bug post in the main page. Dubious (Karu) and Soon to be Extinct (Kiwi) mobs definitely have a lot more HP than their non titled counterparts. --DarkWyvern 00:06, 25 January 2010 (UTC)
- I don't think "the dubious" is a title. "Dubious" monsters seem to be just different monsters with similar appearance, skills, speed, AI, etc. They always have larger sprites, separate aggro, different drops and slightly different attack patterns.--Sozen Cratos Focker 01:26, 25 January 2010 (UTC)
The Awakened
Hey, I was in Karu Pot-Belly Venom Sac today and I couldn't help but notice a spider spawned with this title. Could someone confirm this and/or put in the stat modifiers? I'm really not good with this stuff, xD. --Uuuuuh... what? 04:09, 6 February 2010 (UTC)
HP Glitched?
I don't think so? Pretty sure HP isn't glitched. --κєνıи (»тαıĸ«) 19:49, 14 March 2010 (UTC)

I find it hard to believe since the frail green Kiwi does not take 700 hits...at least it didn't feel like 700.
1000% hp = 10 * 100% = 10x hp = 7 x 10 = 70 o-o
Is there an HP limit on ancient monsters? Ancient Sasquatch REALLY doesn't feel like it has ~300k hp. It feels to me more like 100k or even 50k. 1k damage puts a big noticeable dent in its hp, but I'm not really the best with numbers.
No there is no known limit. Maybe you're just hitting harder than you thought. I dunno. Just don't do a fatal miscalculation like I did lol...
Well the page says it has ~30k hp and 10x that is 300k. I just now killed a few more to see. Used my rank 9 frenzy with taunes and got in most hits. I hit for ~1k damage each shot and fire like 2 shots a second, well by shots I mean individual hits, so it totals 2k damage a second. It went down to about 50% hp left after I finished. So, that's about 40k tops give or take some. The wiki page says it has 30k hp and I think that's accurate because it takes about 3 crit fireballs that do 12k damage to kill it.
I just meteored a group of ancient emerald golems mixed in with non ancient emerald golems. It was a crit that did 51k damage to a bison in the front on impact damage. After the fire the ancient emerald golems and the normal emerald golems both had the exact same amount of hp left in their hp bars. I got a picture too. http://i.imgur.com/pH7XxdN.jpg No idea on the protections and defenses of the golems though. I went and did it again to be sure because I didn't check their starting hp before I meteored, and the same thing happened again. It says on the golem page the emerald golems have ~50k hp.
I've killed a whole bunch of ancients over the past few weeks using Beginner Dream Catcher and Fomor Knight Lance (not Bare Hands), not even a single piece of gold was dropped. Is it just me or am I really unlucky?
Doesn't CP have something to do with drop rate? It lowers the drop rate if it's weak or weakest. They still drop things for me, so you're probably just unlucky.
CP affects drop rate to some degree. I have gotten items and gold from weak/est before, albeit it not a lot of gold and it was typically a gem. What were you hunting?
My daily routines typically revolve around going to Muyu Desert, Cor, Hot Springs, so basically anything around there.
I don't recall CP ever affecting drop rate...
Ancient drop is always a hit and miss for me. Some days it drops, some days it doesn't.
In fields(outside of dungeons, shadow missions, etc.), monsters categorized as weakest(idr if it applies to weak) don't drop from their normal droplist(they still drop gold, and certain quest/event specific drops).
After hunting 4 Burgundy Bear the Ancients and 4 Plateau Wild Boar the Ancients... I only managed to snag a 3cm Diamond and a pile of gold, both from the bears. Blah...
This could be a bug, but - did someone ever see a killed monster with the Unknown title respawn 2 or more monsters? I killed one and afer 5 seconds i was surroundet with them. Can anyone check? Thanks
Anyone know what the deal is with ancient exp sometimes? Like the wild gray wolf ancient on 2x exp gets 129999 exp instead of 130000. There's a lot of other examples sometimes with even more exp differences, but this is the one I run into the most.
Does 100% mean...
- +100% to base stat
or
- 100% of the base stat
because I see a hell of a lot of 100%'s everywhere, but that would also mean 1000% (ancient) means 1100% of base HP, not 10X hp. 11X. (if case 1)
I've observed that monster size doesn't appear fixed anymore. It seems that (From a LOT of hunting) that mobs start out at "normal" size. As time goes on, they get bigger, until they become "small" ancients. They keep growing until they despawn.
For example, this would explain why people have been seeing "regular sized ancients". They aren't regular, they're just very early on in the growth cycle. I've also seen a lot of mobs lately that look significantly larger than their companions, only to find out that they're still "normal" monsters.
Finally, look at this screenshot. Notice the size difference in the two Keepers the Ancients. I believe the bigger one was older. (Compare them to the regular keepers standing next to them)
Three Brown Dire Adult Wolves in one spot, I attacked one of them and all of a sudden this other one attacked me and the one I targeted dropped aggro...
Does Ancient affect aggro or were wolves always like this?
I feel that ancients should have their own page. There's much more to tell about them than can fit on the titles page, and it looks odd to have the drops below the title table. Anyone going to be drastically upset if I split the page? (I'd keep the title in the table, just link to the Ancient Page)
Don't think there's a point to having their own page... It's categorized under Monster Titles since it IS a monster title.
But the title drastically changes their effects. Such that the monster really isn't in the same category as its "normal" counterparts. Plus, the page seems cluttered with the ancient drop info under the table.
This title gives items other than diamonds. I just got a blue ug stone from a racoon with the title! Anyone else know of other items they drop?
Has anyone gotten any other shock pages besides pages 1, 2, and 10? The page says it drops all shock pages, but I have killed a lot of them and have gotten many page 1's, 2's and 10's. No one else that I have talked to that actively hunts them has gotten any of the other pages either.
Ancients randomly appear in any mob, anywhere in erinn. There's no specific place, and it could happen anytime.
Has anyone found Diamonds which are larger than 4cm? I can't find any larger than that, might just be me though.
Shock 3 doesn't drop from ancients, it drops from ghost of parth books. Stop adding it to the list dammit, 3rd time i remove false info
Well, they've been out for awhile and I'm sure a bunch of people have been hunting Ancients. I'm sure someone would've found the page earlier, and they'd be commonly sold, but they haven't been.
I got shock page 3...I remember during the double rainbow, the page drop rate was pretty crazy, so a lot of things dropped more often than others...
Mana hammer, hlbs and hlcs are indeed rare drops, now shock page 3 is false info as it does not drop from ancients. Any avid hunter can confirm this.
They're just common because shadow books in ghost of partholon drops them like crazy even without DR, 2x pots or drop day bonus. And that's why they're easy to find on the market and not because of ancient mobs
I'm not sure if I can agree with you on Mana Hammer, I find them all the time. Highlander Bows and Claymores are definetly rare though.
No other sources list Shock 3 as a viable drop. I recommend we remove it until there is visible PROOF that it drops. I.E SS of ancient mob dead. You having shock 3 and hovering over the page of shock 3 with the timer in place. If you indeed did get it. The time will clearly be fresh and new.
Well I recall from an old thread in the old nexon forums (the crappy one with no edit button and what not) about drop rates being affected by CP. But I don't know if this is actually true. The thread spanned about 20 pages over it.
To me it feels like it has a different drop system than normal. I mean the weapons don't have grades or start at like 1 dur. I don't think cp effects the drops either, at least for ancients.
