Gems
Details
- Gems are special items mainly used for feeding Spirit Weapons.
- For a guide on how to feed Classic Spirit Weapons, see Gems/Spirit.
- They can also be used to perform Gem Upgrades on most Weapons, provided the size requirements are met.
- When upgrading Weapons, the smallest Gem in your Inventory will be used first.
Types of Gems
- Most Gems are known as 'Classic' or 'Ascension' Gems.
- 'Classic' refers to Gems that were originally released and that specifically were designed to be used with Classic Spirit Weapons.
- 'Ascension' refers to Gems that were released alongisde the Spirit Ascension Update to be used with reworked Spirit Weapons.

Cat's Eyes and
Cat's Paws, obtained during Doki Doki Island Events, which can be used as Currency during Events.
False Gems
- These are items that might resemble Gems either in name or appearance, but that are not included in most other mechanics Gems are involved in:
- Glittering Gems, obtained in Iria: Episode 1 - Fate's Origin: The Demon, which only appears similar to be a Diamond.
Sparkling Diamonds, obtained by crafting, which can be used as a Pass by Giants to obtain the Wind Guard Skill.
- Mini-gems are items that allow players to summon small cosmetic creatures.
Forgotten Mage's Gem,
Cleansed Mage's Gem, and other similar items are Materials used in crafting.
Fynni Gems are special items used for Fynni Blossoming.
Gem Powders which can be fed to both Classic Spirit Weapons and Spirit Weapons.
- Gem Powders are designed to be extra efficient when fed to Classic Spirit Weapons.
- Some Gem Powders can be made from Classic Gems using the Moonlight Island.
Marble Orbs
Small Gems and
Colored Small Gems are usually used for Quests, crafting, or as Albey Dungeon Passes.
Sparkling Glass Marble, an item obtained through Scuabtuinne Metallurgy but which is used for Quests and Homesteads.
Grumpy Cat's Marble, a Crom Bás Reward that is used to craft the valuable Irusan's Bell Accessory.
Methods to Obtain
- All Monsters with the Ancient Title have a chance of dropping 10.00 cm Classic Gems and Diamonds of various sizes.
- Various Dungeons and Missions, including Theatre Missions.
- Additionally drops from Monsters in Baltane Missions.
- In example, Monsters in Nowhere to Run (Basic or Elite) will drop Gems (3~4 cm).
- Gems that drop are Emeralds, Spinels, Rubies, Garnets, Star Sapphires, and Aquamarines.
- Gems that do not drop are Jaspers and Topazes.
- Additionally drops from Monsters in Baltane Missions.
- Raids
- Various Events and Gachapons.
Metallurgy
- Gems can rarely be found with Metallurgy.
- The type of Gem found is affected by location and Weather.
Quests
Storyline Quests
- The Generation 14 Ascon Sidequests Ascon and His Lanterns and Kind-Hearted Videk provide a random-sized Star Sapphire and a 4.25 cm Diamond, respectively.
Used In
- Gem Upgrades.
- Feeding Classic Spirit Weapons and Spirit Weapons.
NPC Gifts
- If you give Gems to certain NPCs, they will give items in return.
- The chance to receive rarer rewards increases with Gem size.
