Gems

Description
Gems are special items mainly used for feeding Spirit Weapons.
- They can also be used to upgrade most weapons, provided all the size requirements are met.
- When upgrading weapons, the smallest gem in your inventory will be used first.
Types of gems
Most gems are known as 'classic' or 'ascension' gems. These can be held in a Gem Bag.

Other Gems
These items may be found through metallurgy or other means, but are not included in most other mechanics gems are involved in:
- Colored Small Gems are usually used for quests and as an Albey Dungeon drop Pass.
- Sparkling Glass Marble, a trade item obtained exclusively in Scuabtuinne.
- The Glittering Gem, obtained in Iria: Episode 1 - Fate's Origin: The Demon, may have similar uses to that of a diamond.
- Sparkling Diamond is used by Giants to obtain the Wind Guard skill.
- Cat's Eyes and Paws are event items exclusive to Doki Doki Island and are a type of event currency.
- The Cat's Eye can only be regurlarly found in the Japanese server's Nekojima.
- Fynni Gems are special items used for Fynni Blossoming.
- Forgotten Mage's Gem and Cleansed Mage's Gem are crafting materials.
- Mini-gems are a type of figure summon.
- Gem Powders can be made from Gems using the Moonlight Island.
Methods to Obtain
- All monsters with the Ancient title have a chance of dropping Gems 10.00 cm in size and Diamonds of various sizes.
- Various Dungeons and Missions, including Theatre Missions.
- Monsters from the Baltane Missions: "Nowhere to Run" on either Basic or Elite will drop gems ranging from sizes 3 centimeters to 4 centimeters.
- Gems that drop are Emeralds, Spinels, Rubies, Garnets, Star Sapphires, and Aquamarines.
- Gems that do not drop are Jaspers and Topazes.
- Raids
- Various Events and Gachapons (Varied sizes)
Metallurgy
- Gems are the rarest items found with Metallurgy.
- The type of gem found is affected by location and Weather.
Storyline
- The Generation 14 Ascon Sidequests Ascon and His Lanterns and Kind-Hearted Videk provide a random-sized Star Sapphire and a 4.25 cm Diamond, respectively.

- Feeding Spirit Weapon.
- NPC gifting
NPC Gifts
- If you give gems to NPCs, they will give items in return. Go to individual NPCs pages for item specifics.
- Talk to NPCs using "Gem" keyword to find out which gem they prefer; all of them like Diamonds.
